Hi sweet angels, I need help paying for my MRI. Having ANOTHER head mri for what I think was seizures (several episodes where I’d wake up dripping sweat folded in half onto my own lap and unable to remember what happened why I passed out or why I felt so bad) and can’t afford the copay at all. It’s a $400 copay :/

Jonathan Joss was an Indigenous, gay man who was murdered on the first day of Pride month as well as Indigenous History Month. He died protecting his trans husband. Homophobia and racism aren’t marks of the past, and this is a heart breaking reminder of that.

i wish i was articulate enough to write a review or whatever abt that movie. Like i have thoughts and feelings i would like to express but i simply lack the capacity to arrange words in a way that feels satisfactory enough to share with others.

what i'll say tho is like, the modern notion of liminality as it pertains to these images that capture fragments of memory divorced from their original context, resonates more deeply with me now than ever before. reality feels less and less concrete as days go by and i find myself reaching back into the past trying to cling to something positive but everything behind me gets more and more blurry all the time, and it was certainly never as warm as the the shreds of memory lead me to believe. It's all facsimile of facsimile of facsimile. Like a xeroxed image printed on a middle school biology test that is only barely identifiable. It often just feels easier to lean into the anemoia and hide in the endless nostalgic span than it does to face reality for what it is and move forward.
