tag drop! to explain a bit more:

main – age 17/18. marcus is a senior in high school. he’s cheating off his brother and either has been threatened by teachers or hasn’t yet been threatened. he’s mister popular and he loves each second of it.

after leaving – this will never coincide with any pines family (unless plotted), marcus is living in chicago after leaving his family behind. he works at a skateshop,  designs skater clothing, and is barely making it, but is happy with himself. he is ages 18-22

return to the falls – marcus is 22+ and he realizes that he misses his family. that he’s ruined his own life.he ends up failing in chicago and drags himself all the way back home. things are rough. he doesn’t know how to look anyone in the face and he has to come to terms with himself and the people he’s hurt.
