Every day there will be 2 prompts: A "relationship milestone" and an AU.

You don't have to use all for your creation. Pick and choose - just 1, 2 or none! Completely up to you.

Q&A

What does [X] mean in the prompt?

Whatever you like! First thing that comes into your mind, the craziest interpretation, anything works!

e.g:

No capes could be coffee shop au, college au, etc

First Fight could be their first fight as a couple, or their first fight together (against a common enemy).

What kind of works are allowed?

Any! Writing, art, gifset, edits, music, moodboards, etc. All are welcome.

Will there be a AO3 Collection?

Yes. We encourage you to post your creation in the collection, be it art, audio, writing or gifs. If it can be uploaded to AO3, it can be in the Collection.

The Arkham Knight Returns

The Arkham Knight stalked towards his prey in the darkness, his glowing blue eyes the only trace that allowed his enemies to track him.

Not that it mattered.

Ever since he had been saved from that tiny room in Arkham Asylum, the once gentle and righteous Robin had turned into a bird of prey that hunted down his enemies with a single-minded focus.

Like now, where he was chasing after the Joker, who was scrambling backwards in terror.

“I made you!” The Joker screamed. “You’re mine! Mine! That J is for the Joker!”

The Arkham Knight shot him in the leg, making him fall back with a scream. He lunged forward to grab the Joker’s hand and with one smooth motion, snapped the bones in his wrist.

A guttural roar fell from the Joker’s mouth. He tried to swing his other arm to hit the Arkham Knight, but the hand only smacked painfully against his helmet. The Arkham Knight reared back and punched him in the face, the Joker’s nose crunching underneath his metal fist.

The Joker made another pained sound as the Arkham Knight punched him over and over and over, each hit a clear sign of his disgust and hatred.

The sound of screams and flesh being hit filled the room, just like the him from a few years ago.

When the Joker was nearly beaten to death, still hanging on to his consciousness with a thread, the Arkham Knight dropped him onto the ground and laughed softly, the sound turning crackly and mechanical when it came out of his armor. The Joker looked up in terror and the helmet’s covering flipped upwards, revealing Jason Todd’s scarred face.

His eyes were wide with manic glee as they glowed with an unnatural green.

Jason crouched down to the Joker’s level and smirked. “What are you talking about? The J stands for Jazz, dumbass.”

And he pulled back his fist for one final punch. When the Joker fell unconscious, having lost a tooth and was bleeding from his nose, mouth, and faint scratches all over his face, Jason grabbed him by his hair and began dragging him towards the exit for a longer, more painful revenge.

His phone rang and Jason answered the call through his helmet.

"My Knight?" A sweet voice called. "Where are you? Are you coming home?"

Jason's cold expression softened. "Yes, Princess. I'm coming home soon."

She hummed. "Good. I have a surprise here for you."

A faint scream came through the speaker and Jason laughed softly. "Is that Harley?"

"Shhh, it's a secret," she said, amusement in her tone. "Come home safely, dearest."

Jason smiled. "Yes. I'll come home right now."

That J did not stand for Joker or even for Jason.

No, that twisted scar on his cheek, the terrible thing that marked his face to differentiate from himself and his younger self, that scar was meant only for her, his savior and his one and only.

Humming a quiet, haunting tune, the Arkham Knight closed his helmet and left the Arkham Aslyum with his prize in tow, back to his beloved Jazz.

I tried TWICE to draw something for this ask but I legit couldn't figure it out.

In the end, I wrote this short ficlet instead, which is inspired by this post by @any-n-everything. I just rlly, rlly liked the idea of Jazz becoming a villain, but I couldn't fit the idea inside of this fic bc 1) I'm not familiar with the games, 2) I was on a time crunch.

Still, the idea is SO fun! Jazz becoming a villainous doctor while Jason is saved by her and becomes her bodyguard.... literally Arkham KNIGHT, amirite???

Soulmates (click for clarity)

Day 1: Soulmates @dpxdc-events

In which neither Jazz nor Jason ever expected to meet their soulmates in their lifetime, met each other in the Ghost Zone, and was then pulled apart again. A few years later, Jazz arrives in Gotham and Jason can’t help but feel a strange connection to the masked woman by his side….

Combining this prompt with my HCs was super fun! I’ll try my best to make one piece for every day for the Jazz/Jason week! :3

Notes:

+ I imagine that this is the classic soulmate trope where both partners have each other’s marks on their skin that is activated only when they meet, but disappears when they die. Soulmates can usually instantly recognize their marks when they see them.

+ Jason’s soulmark represents Jazz, with a jasmine flower made of bullets and red-orange bulbs and turquoise leaves. Jazz’s soulmark represents Jason, with a book that has a brain diagram on one side and a hidden compartment hiding a gun on the other.

+ When Jason first died as Robin, that was when both of their soul marks activated. When he was revived, Jazz’s soulmark dimmed but didn’t disappear. Meanwhile, Jason woke up in his coffin with a revived soulmark.

+ The angst would be SO delicious when they finally take off their helmets and see their soul marks on each other >:)

Crossover Danuary Week 2025

Crossover Danuary Week is a daily prompt event, taking place on the 25th-31st of January.

Each day has two prompts; a word prompt and a fandom prompt. The idea is that you can either choose a fandom and do the word prompt, or use the fandom to create something without the word prompt, or use both to create something of that fandom with that word prompt.

The general idea is to get people to try writing for new fandoms they wouldn't normally pay attention to, and just get more dp crossovers out there in general. They can be in any art form including writing and stories, music, painting and sculpture.
