â (500) Days of Summer (2009) Tom: I need to know that youâre not gonna wake up in the morningâŠand feel differently.
âShe just seems different, you know? I donât know, I just got a feeling about her. You know when a song comes on and you just gotta dance?â
Blue valentine (2010) dir. Derek Cianfrance
âIâm so out of love with you. Iâve got nothing left for you, nothing, nothing. Nothing, there is nothing here for you.â
Blue Valentine (2010) dir. Derek Cianfrance
That â70s Show (1998 - 2006)
There are days when I can paint a smile even without the thought of you. Flowers start to grow in the darkest parts of my mind even the word happiness means nothing without you. But when I hear a certain song and smell a familiar scent, I suddenly remember how we held hands that Friday afternoon and just tracing the lines in your calloused hands makes me feel like going back to my own home. Seeing you from afar of that convenience store which we used to wait for each other equates to a feeling of certain comfort which no one knows about because only you can make me feel that way. I remember the time we met at that small cafeteria, seeing each other for the first time and we knew right away that we will create an incomparable love story. But our story finished a little too early, it never ended romantically. Thereâs nothing poetic about how our story crushed my beliefs in happily-ever-afters and forget-me-not love affairs. It made me feel homesick because I built a home out of shaky foundations. I canât make a home out of someone who has two eyes and a heartbeat.

I watched Blue Valentine⊠again. And now I will fall asleep to this.
âHow amazing it is to find someone who wants to hear about all the things that go on in your head.â
â Nina LaCour / Hold Still
Heartbreak is an odd experience. At 7am you wish you could snooze your alarm and hide from the sunlight. At 10 you feel unstoppable and like maybe today is the day the heartbreak will ease. At 1pm youâre crying at your desk silently, hoping no one will notice and at 2 youâre running to the bathroom because you feel nauseous. At 3 you feel like you can manage. At 5 youâre exhausted from your heart leading you on this emotional roller coaster and your brain unsuccessfully trying to take back control. Come 8 oâclock and youâre squeezing your pillow, howling out to the moon wishing you could feel anything, anything but this.

Itâs all about one moment. The quick glance when youâre walking down the street, the rushed âthank youâ as they hold the door, the awkward silence in an elevator, it all comes down to those moments. The tiny moments in between living the we donât even notice because weâre too busy to slow down. But what if the quick glance of a stranger was meant to be the first look shared between lovers? What if the rushed âthank youâ was suppose to be a conversation that raves into the night? What if the elevator ride was meant to be filled with confessions of love instead of quiet? Life is about moments and how we choose to live in these moments defines us. All it takes is one moment to change a life. So when it comes around, you better not miss it.

The thing about addiction is, it never ends well. Because eventually, whatever it is that was getting us high, stops feeling good, and starts to hurt. Still, they say you donât kick the habit until you hit rock bottom. But how do you know when you are there? Because no matter how badly a thing is hurting us, sometimes, letting it go hurts even worse.
Dr. Meredith Grey of Greyâs Anatomy (TV Series)
