like, I’m serious, if I saw this shit during my yaoi fangirl/fujoshi phase (tho fujoshi was just picking up in Western fandom as I was fading out of the subculture), it would’ve just made me dig my heels in more. and I’d bet money that’s exactly what’s going on now.

so instead, maybe take a leaf from the books of those who educated me better: call out specific behaviors instead of saying entire groups need to go away for your convenience. Most of them are largely young and ignorant and it’s better to teach them (while they’re still willing to learn) than to isolate.
