Synopsis: The CE (Your/Name) is enlisted to World Serpent following a run-in that resulted in their involvement with one of Jackal’s experiments and enters the Elysian Realm. This is probably the final part unless you want to see an epilogue. Also, spoilers for the Chapters 29-31.
The first half will serve as an introduction and as Kevin and Elysia’s parts. The second half will be the other Flame-chasers.
The cold corridors of World Serpent’s base made your skin crawl as you were dragged along the ice-cold floor with a bag over your head and your arms chained behind you with Honkai-suppressing properties. It was a rather medieval experience but certainly not of the ones you were keen on experiencing.
“Now, now. Let’s all take a moment to calm down and-”
“Oh, shut up already!” One of Jackal’s subordinates smacked you across your face to shut you up, which it did - for a few seconds.
“Come now, friends. Can’t we at least take off the hood? I’m starting to fall asleep here! At least, let me look around!”
“God, they’re so annoying.” The person on your left muttered.
“Relax, we’re almost at the Sire’s throne room.” The person to your right calmed down their friend. “We can leave them there and Lady Jackal will take over from there.”
“I know, I know... Hey, do you think the Sire does anything besides sit on his throne-”
“Both of you, silence.” A woman’s voice shut them both up and made you perk up upon hearing the newcomer approach you while two sets of footsteps went in the other direction. Her heels clicked on the floor and circled around you as you could feel her sizing you up until she stopped behind you. “Get up.” You could feel her warm breath on your ear and shivered slightly but obliged to her command.
“You must be Jackal. Your helpers were lovely company, though I have more reason to believe you’ll be far more charming!” You smile despite the grim situation you found yourself in, finding everything happening around you far too amusing to not enjoy the moment.
Jackal doesn’t say anything to you; she merely pushes you up the stairs and into a large throne room where the temperature had dropped immensely. However, the more important factor was the even more immense power radiating from the person sitting in the throne in the center that was enough to attract your attention.
“Sire. I’ve brought the individual responsible for the stagnation of our operations.”
“Hey, don’t forget your two friends! They did most of the heavy lifting-”
Smack!
“Do not mention those incompetent buffoons.”
“Sorry...”
“...Understood.” The person called “Sire” said and you could tell it was a male’s. “Do they have a name?”
“Of course, Sire. Their name is...” You could hear Jackal calmly shuffling through papers, the calmness of her movements turning agitated as she couldn’t for the life of her find your name.
“Are you sure you’re not the incompetent one?” You inquire in a mock innocent tone, tilting your head at the woman who was seconds away from smacking you again.
“How dare you-”
“Jackal.” The man merely said. “Leave us. You’ve done enough.”
“Y-Yes, Sire...” You heard the disappointment in Jackal’s voice and felt a bit bad for her but your attention went over to the leader of his organization.
“Are you done playing your games, Herrscher?”
You smile and stood up, breaking the chains binding you as if they were made of glass. “Yeah, maybe a little. I’ll save it for Madame Jackal. I also heard that there was a pretty little bird wandering here as well.” Pulling the hood of your head, you were prepared to face an icy stare of a monster but were instead met with a slightly wide eyed stare from a white-haired man who was, for whatever reason, surprised to see your face. “So, you’re this ‘Sire’ that I’ve been hearing a lot about? Hm... That doesn’t sound cool enough. How about ‘Ice Cube?’ Does that sound good?”
“...(Your/Name)?“ You heard him whisper, still taken aback by your appearances, and you raised an eyebrow.
“Huh? You know my name? Who are you, Ice Cube?”
“...” The king of ice shook his head and regained his composure, although, you could see the tiniest crack in his mask. “It is not your business, Herrscher. What matters now,” He stood up from his throne, summoning a mighty greatsword of flames from nowhere and heating up the room. “is what you plan on doing now.”
“Heh, I’m quite confident in my fighting capabilities, Ice Cube.” You smiled and ready yourself for battle. “But, how about this? If I win, I get to walk free and you won’t bother me ever. If you win, then I’ll help you with whatever cult-y things you’re doing.”
The man didn’t say anything and you took his silence as his agreement to the terms. Stretching your body, you prepared to fight-

A Few Weeks Later...

You totally lost won the fight.

Ahem, Kevin didn’t exactly beat you into the dirt like some may have thought but it was more comparable to an older brother scolding their mischievous younger sibling.
Silver lining: you were able to force out of him a terrifying transformation that no one in this era had ever seen before and destroyed around 80% of the main World Serpent base, earning you the animosity of Jackal who had to clean up after you two.
After you woke up, you found the man waiting patiently for you and he introduced himself to you as Kevin Kaslana. That name... It made you feel an odd sense of nostalgia but you couldn’t put your finger on it and he didn’t seem to want to say anything when you pestered him about this. You decided to honor your side of the agreement since you were seeking answers from Kevin.
“Are you focusing on the mission?” Your elder in the World Serpent hierarchy, a woman with short, light gray hair and crimson orbs, shook you out of your reminiscing with her question, mistaking your silence for... window shopping.
“Of course I am, Songbird! It’s just... *sighs* I’m bored.”
“So, you aren’t focusing...”
“C’mon, Songbird. All of this waiting around and spying is booooooring! Let’s go grab something to eat, just me and you, and then we can go back to base together!”
“Pass.” Raven bluntly replied and kept looking through the scope of her sniper rifle, surveying the dull buildings and dark alleyways.
“Why are you so fixated in this Kiana girl anyways? Got a grudge or something?”
“...Something like that.”
You raise an eyebrow but before you could comment on it, you received a transmission to return to base.
“Oh, got to go, Songbird. Ice Cube’s calling me back. You fine with staying in Arc City while only having Jackal for company?”
“Is anyone ever fine with that?” Raven remarks as you both chuckle before bidding farewell to each other.
After a long ride back with nothing to do to pass the time, you found yourself outside of the throne room and were (not) surprised to find Kevin waiting for you in his usual stance: arms crossed and eyes closed.
“Yo, Ice Cube!” You shouted, waving a hand at the man when he opened his eyes. There was a tiny inkling of relief in his blue eyes before he snuffed it out as quickly as it had surfaced. “Why’d you call me back?”
“(Your/Name), I think it’s time for you to learn the truth of the Honkai and visit the Elysian Realm.”
“Already?” You raise an eyebrow, having heard of this place from “Songbird” and admitted that you were a tad bit curious about this mysterious location. Though, you weren’t expecting to be sent there this early, considering that Raven had only gone recently after many years of serving World Serpent. “Don’tcha think you should wait until springing something this important upon me, Ice Cube?”
“You’re... a special case.” You saw the odd look in Kevin’s eyes return and decided to not comment on it as he continued to stare off into space.
“...Soooo, where do I go exactly?”
Kevin snapped out of his sorrowful reminiscing and pointed toward the ominous, dark hallway at the end of the corridor.
“Ah, of course. I should have known that it would be in the creepiest place here... Later, Ice Cube.” You shake your head and waved goodbye. You headed off in the direction that Kevin had indicated, noticing that the only footsteps echoing throughout the hallway was yours. But, when you looked back, he was gone. “How does he keep doing that...?” You thought to yourself and merely shrugged it off for now - there were more pressing matters to attend to.
Each step you took forward toward the Elysian Realm seemed to make each subsequent step feel even heavier than the previous. You felt a bud of unease growing in your chest the closer you got to those ominously inviting doors.
Placing a hand on the doors, you readied yourself to find what was inside, taking a deep breath and closing your eyes, and then kicking the door open with a bright smile.
“Greetings for I, Y/N - the one and only Herrscher of World Serpent, have arrived! No need for applause or cheers!” You waited...and waited for a response but were only met with a dead silence. Anyone could have dropped a needle and you would have heard it.
When you opened your eyes, you found...an empty room.
“Really? No one to greet little ol’ me? Ice Cube’s gonna get a scolding from me...” With an annoyed pout, you venture deeper into this odd place, left with a sour taste in your mouth after this initial disappointment that was soon washed away with the spectacle that was this location.
On your left was a wall stacked with memorials and trinkets from the Previous Era, a minibar, and a small lounge area. Meanwhile, on your right was a set of peculiar tubes with seemingly no significant purpose and a large table with various screens pulled up on the back wall, showing... Well, you didn’t pay much attention to the details in the real world so why would you now?
What really caught your attention was the floating device in the back-center, radiating a strange pink light.
“Hm... I probably shouldn't touch that...”
...
"Oh, who am I kidding?" You press some buttons and, after a bright flash of light, found yourself on a strange platform that looked nothing like the lobby area. However, before you could question your surroundings, Honkai beasts began to emerge from the ground.
With a smirk, you summon your weapon and twirl it.
Back in the lobby, a single Flame-chaser logged in and let out a yawn.
“Hi~! Sorry for being a little late, I wanted to make sure I looked my best for you, newcomer~!” The extroverted woman with pointy ears looked around to see that no one was here. She was a little disappointed but also didn’t mind at the same time.
“Oh, they must be running late as well. I’ll just wait here then~!“ Elysia excitedly sat down on one of the couches and waited patiently...for a couple of minutes...
“Any minute now~!”
A few more minutes pass...
“Any minute now...”
Those few minutes of waiting eventually turn into hours...
“...D-Did I get the day wrong? Kevin wouldn’t lie to me, would he? No, he’s too nice to do that.” Elysia was now curled up into a ball, a rather adorable pout on her face as she struggled to hold back dramatic tears. “Nonono, I made sure to not mess up the date. So, where are they?”
Elysia sniffed twice before she heard the sound of the portal to the deeper parts of the Elysian Realm open and realized what happened. She quickly wiped her face and returned to her normal, chirpy self in no time.
“Hiii~!” Elysia turned her head to greet the ‘newcomer‘ with her usual bright smile. “Welcome to-” Her eyes widened and her smile faltered when she saw your face and the blood trickling down your face as many emotions and memories overwhelmed her.
“Oh, hey. Do you know where I am?” You casually ask, smiling happily while fixing your clothes that were in tatters after your little “Elysian Realm Test Run.” Your good mood was quickly replaced with confusion when you looked back up to see the elf-eared woman staring straight at you with a shocked expression and tears welling up in her eyes.
“(Y-Your/Name)?” Elysia’s voice cracked when she said your name. She knew that another Y/N would be born in the Current Era and that the one she knew was long gone, but that didn’t make it hurt any less when you said:
“Do I know you?”
With a forced smile, Elysia shook her head and muttered a soft “No, of course not...”
“Hey, I might not know who you are...” You close the distance between you and her, and cupped her face, wiping her tears away. “But, that doesn’t mean I won’t be concerned when you start to cry after seeing me.”
Elysia smiled at you and grabbed your hands, noting how delicate and smooth they felt. Just then, a strange sensation shot through her and your body, and her eyes widened in shock.
“Y-You’re...”
“Oh, right. I should probably introduce myself anyways even though you already know my name...” Taking a few steps back and pulling your hands away from a frozen-in-place Elysia, you simply bowed. “I am [Your/Name] [Last/Name], this era’s Herrscher of Binding.”
“Oh...” Elysia cupped your face, her eyes sparkling with tears and her smile replaced with a frown - a sight that had never been seen before. “How cruel can fate be? To make you shoulder the burdens of a Herrscher once more...”
“Huh? What are you talking about?”
Elysia did not answer and simply shook her head before turning away, disabling herself for the time being as she disappeared in a flash of light.
Even if you had no idea what was going on, you still felt a pang of guilt in your chest, followed by a soul-crushing feeling when you remembered Elysia’s face.
You questioned if you should have even came here and decided that perhaps it would be best to leave as things had gone way off course to what you imagined and the mood was ruined.
However, before you stepped back through the door to the real world, you heard the sound of footsteps behind you and turned your head to see Kevin.
“Oh, Ice Cube... When did you get here and why did you even send me here? I don’t mind the extra training from that device back there but I feel like I could get the same results in... What?”
“...” Kevin didn’t say anything and continued to stare at you in a mixture of utter confusion and shock.
You were confused by the surprise on Kevin’s face, wondering why he was making the same expression he had done when you first met him. Then, you felt the power exuding from him.
“Ice Cube, when did you... How did you get this strong in such a short time frame!? You’ve been holding back against me?“
“...No, I believe you’re misunderstanding the situation. Do you not know where you are?” A tilt of the head from you was all he needed to know that, yes, you had no idea where you were. “...(sighs) Follow me.” Kevin merely said and led you over to the lounge area where he would explain the purpose of the Elysian Realm to you.

“I see...” You nodded and gazed at the table in front of you, sitting on the opposite side of the lounge from Kevin. “So, this is where you make your noodles.”
“...Were you even paying attention?”
“Yeah, yeah. This is the place where the memories of the Previous Era’s greatest warriors are stored in the form of simulations - which is what you are - and where I can learn more about them. But, do you have any idea how famous your noodles are in the outside world?“
“Focus, Y/N.” PE Kevin tried to grab your attention but you were well off in your own world.
“I mean, some people at World Serpent worship them more than you-”
“Do you not wish to learn more of what your connection to the Previous Era is? To learn of why the other me and I reacted the way we did?” You didn’t respond but the silence in the lounge spoke louder than words. “Then, I would suggest you explore more and seek out answers.” Kevin recommended to you before making a swift exit.
You stared down at the unopened instant noodles in your hand before sighing to yourself and placing it on the table. “Guess you were always supposed to be good at convincing me then, Ice Cube.” You left the lounge and approached the floating device once more, Kevin’s advice echoing in your mind, followed by a series of questions.
Who was I to these people?
What happened to the PE version of me?
Why did Ice Cube send me here?
Taking a deep breath, you pressed the button and closed your eyes as you felt yourself being teleported deeper inside this mysterious place. When you opened your eyes, you found yourself back on the platform with Honkai beast simulations appearing around you and readied yourself to fight your way through this strange world for the answers to the questions plaguing your mind.
The beasts were no match for you and they were annihilated within seconds thanks to your Herrscher powers.
However, now, you found yourself facing three floating mechanisms all with different symbols in the center which wasn’t present the first time. You looked around for a guide, but found none, unaware that the person that was supposed to be your guide through the Elysian Realm had left you in tears and disabled herself for the time being.
However, even without Elysia here, you could tell that the realm was waiting for you to make a choice and your eyes flickered between the gateways before you finally made your choice...
Aponia [III] - Discipline
"You're... No, I know you're not them... And, yet..."
Aponia's special connection to the Elysian Realm allowed her to sense the presence of a Herrscher. However, that didn't mean she knew it was you until you stepped in front of her with the same smile as your predecessor, the same pair of (Eye/Color) orbs gleaming with life, your (Hair/Length) (Hair/Color) hair — everything was the same.
Aponia is normally quiet and her emotions are still like the seas on a windless day, but when you speak with her, you can see straight through her without trouble. Whenever she is around you, she is reminded of the endearing child she once looked after and tries both metaphorically and literally get closer to you, and is heartbroken when you back away.
Eventually, Aponia accepts that you're your own person and stops trying to relive the past through you. However, that doesn't stop the occasion pats on the head that you accept and lingering sorrowful gazes she unknowingly sends your way when you speak with the other Flame-chasers. To humanity, they defeated a Herrscher that day, but to her, she lost her child.
"'Why do I keep following you?' I...am unsure of how to answer that. I know you are your own person. And, yet, I cannot help but make sure you are safe at all times. Perhaps, I wish to take responsibility for that fateful day..."
Eden [IV] - Gold
"Either the Elysian Realm is malfunctioning, or someone installed an update that allows us to hallucinate..." The empty chuckle escaping Eden echoed across the lounge and left a wave of discomfort to wash over you.
Contrary to what Raven and Owl told you beforehand, Eden is far from the elegant idol you were led to believe and more akin to a rambling drunk, but something told you that was in part thanks to you.
Whenever you entered her domain, you always happened upon Eden taking a sip of her wine as she stared off into the distance with a foggy look in her eyes. You weren't sure how a simulation could get tipsy, but that didn't make the sight of her drunk sobs and intoxicated murmurs any less comfortable to sit through.
Eden's unhealthy addiction eases over time and she apologizes for her "unprofessional" showings. She starts to show more of that side that your co-workers mentioned and you begin to see glimpses of the revered, gentle, beloved songstress of the Previous Era. However, no matter how much she tries to hide it, you can still see lingering fragments of sorrow behind her gaze whenever you locked eyes with her.
"I know it is unfair of me to ask this, but... May I ask of you to sing a song with me? It's... the only regret I refused to leave in the Previous Era... You will? Oh, thank you for indulging in this troublesome relic's request."
Vill-V [V] - Helix
"Behold! The brand-new and perfected Kevin Killer Mk. 2000! You should feel honored, Herrscher of the Current Era! For this technology and level of ingenuity has never... never... Y-You... Why are you here?"
The whispers surrounding the holder of the Helix signet told you volumes of her flamboyancy and her domain certainly lived up to your expectations. Vill-V, on the other hand, did not.
From the other Flame-chasers, you've learned about her multiple personalities and the drastic differences between them. Yet, whenever you tried to strike up a conversation with her, you are only met with sadness and a reluctance to converse.
It takes a lot of effort on your end, but eventually the talk you share with her last longer than a few words. They turn to 5 words, 6, words, 7 words, 8 words, then a sentence, several sentences, and before long, you could finally hold a entire conversation with her. After that, it didn't take long for her to show her true self (or selves, in this case) and you two quickly became quick friends, much to both Kevin's annoyance (and slight relief).
"Attention everyone! The greatest magician of all time is here with her new assistant! Prepare to be awed by our spectacular performance!"
Kalpas [VI] - Decimation
"...Are you a trick of the Honkai? Or, are you here just to anger me with your face?"
Kalpas isn't like the others. He knows that the PE (Your/Name) is long dead and the one in front of him now is someone else entirely. However, despite knowing this, the anger burning in his chest whenever his gaze lands on you, forcing him to remember that day, eats away at him without mercy.
Kalpas tries to avoid you whenever possible and you do the same to him, leaving him feeling an odd mixture of both contentedness and annoyance. While you are preoccupied with the trials of the other Flame-chasers, he watches you from afar, along with Sakura.
Even when every data of his simulation fully recognizes you as a Herrscher of the Current Era, it doesn't stop him from falling into the same trap the others were ensnared in: He still saw shadows of the previous (Your/Name) in you.
"...Your technique is too flashy. If I hadn't stepped in, you would have been injured. Go in for the kill next time... Huh? You think I've been watching you this entire time? Don't be absurd. Why would I do that? You trying to pick a fight?!"
And, that was the events that led up to Kalpas being placed in the "naughty boys and girls corner" by Kevin, Elysia, Aponia, and Sakura.
Su [VII] - Bodhi
"...Hm? You... I see... Have you been trapped in this samsara of tragedy, (Your/Name)?"
Su is difficult to read, whether it was intentional on his end or not. A part of you believes that he feels a little melancholic when he "sees" you while the other half wonders if he shared the same relationship to your previous self like his fellow MANTIS.
Su spends much of his time meditating, making it difficult to approach him. He is usually the one who initiates the conversation, which usually ends with you having to sit down to listen to his 3-hour-long spiels.
It is only through Elysia's tutorage, you slowly learn how to read the enlightened individual and realize he does care. It is also through Elysia that you tragically learn Su was the doctor who extensively tried everything he could to save your predecessor, only to end up being the only one there to hold their hand as they passed away.
"...(Your/Name)? Is there something you need- Oh." Su was taken aback when you hugged him out of the blue and didn't quite understand until you whispered a soft, "Thank you for trying until the very end." "...Thank you."
Sakura [VIII] - Setsuna
"A Herrscher? Wait, no. You're..."
After your predecessor's death, the real Sakura never synced with her simulation, leaving the latter blissfully unaware of the tragic fate that befell the PE (Your/Name). When she learns the truth, Sakura is distraught and in shambles. Thankfully, your presence and words are a tremendous help in her recovery, and it doesn't take long for her to bounce back and pick up the pieces on the ground.
Sakura is a gentle, loving soul and frequently goes out of her way to make your stay at the Elysian Realm is the best it can be, which meant she will usually butt heads with Kalpas to a certain extent and Mobius.
Much like Kalpas, Sakura watches over you from afar as you effortlessly cleave through the hordes of Honkai beasts standing in your way. And, also like with Kalpas, there's a small iota of older sibling's pride blooming in her chest when she sees your strength.
"Even though you're not the (your/Name) I knew, I can't help but feel content with knowing you've grown into a capable warrior... I... I only wish Rin was here to see you too."
Kosma [IX] and Griseo [XI] - Daybreak and Stars
"(Y-Your/Name)?" Kosma muttered, his harmonica falling to the floor as so did Griseo's brush.
By now, you believed you were more than accustomed to the reactions of the Flame-chasers upon seeing your face. Soon, you were proven wrong when you felt Griseo's little arms try to wrap around your waist as she bawled loudly while Kosma held back, instead choosing to gawk at you from afar.
Every moment you spent in the Elysian Realm from that point onward was with Griseo and Kosma trailing behind you like two baby ducklings following their mother, which you didn't mind. Of course, everyone knew they were thousands of years older than you, but that didn't stop the giggles and laughs from the onlookers.
The painting world Griseo frequented was vibrant and humming with life whenever you visited and the tunes coming from Kosma's harmonica sounded more cheerful as he listened to you paint together.
"...Stay safe."
"Come over again tomorrow...please."
Mobius [X] - Infinity
"Hmph. When I saw Elysia disable herself for an entire day, I knew something was wrong."
Much like Kalpas, Mobius knows you're not the PE (Your/Name) and isn't so welcoming like the other Flame-chasers, so expect to be met with hostility and venom as she lives up to the Honkai beast she infused herself with.
The portals leading to her domain are extremely rare to come across, which, to her annoyance, meant you would take it every time to visit her laboratory. Her dislike for you is crystal clear but your curiosity for how she felt about your predecessor spurred you on to remain by her side.
Mobius does a well enough job to hide her feelings and it takes you a longer time to decipher her true feelings. It is only thanks to the pieces of information you gathered from conversations with the other Flame-chasers and Klein do you finally can say you can began to understand Mobius with confidence.
"Hm? Oh, it's you... 'Do I miss the previous (Your/Name)?' How foolish. What makes you think... Oh, I see now. Klein and others fed you this foolish notion that I missed them, haven't they? If you wish to pass my trials, then you'd best learn to filter out the false lies from the riffraff." Mobius tells you with a smile that doesn't quite reach her eyes, where you can see the tiniest fragments of sadness locked behind the vault of her simulation programming.
Hua [XII] - Vicissitude
"The Honkai... It has already taken so much from me, including the person who shares the same face as you. Tell me, or you an enemy or a friend?"
Hua tries to put up a tough exterior, but the cracks of her mask make themselves known before she could even finish her question as you slowly bring her into a small hug like you did with Su.
There were some moments that Hua chose to forget via Fenghuang Down but the moments she spent with the PE (Your/Name), from the first meeting to their death, remained with her all these years. Therefore, it is imperative to let her take her time in getting used to seeing your face again.
Back in the Previous Era, besides the other Flame-chasers, Hua wasn't too experienced with making friends and that made your friendship all the more special to her. Hua follows you around the Elysian Realm like with Kosma and Griseo, but unlike them, knows when to give you space, specifically when you underwent a trial.
Hua is ashamed to admit that she is jealous of the real her once she learns that she is alive thanks to you. She wishes to fly high and experience the fresh air of the Current Era, but doesn't mind listening to your stores and seeing it through your lenses.
"This necklace... It... It belonged to the previous you. I know it is unfair of me to ask this, but... Can I ask you to take care of it for me?"
Pardofelis [XIII] - Reverie
"...Huh? Huh? Huh?! (Your/Name), is that you?! Oh, I knew all these years of throwing coins in the fountain would pay off!"
It takes a lot of effort to get out of the bear hug she ensnared you in but eventually, you manage to sit her down and explain who you were, earning a soft "...Oh."
Surprisingly, she doesn't dwell too long on her mistake and bounces back to her usual happy-go-lucky self. She treats you no different than she would if you were the Previous (Your/Name) while also acknowledging you were your own person which was a nice change of pace.
Purchasing items from her shop still costs you money—don't get it twisted. But, at least they were all between 50% to 100% off, so there's nothing complain about...right?
Pardofelis and, by extension, Can always greet you with a cheerful smile and hug you tightly. It sorta reminded you when you were younger and had look after two of your neighbor's cats. Heck, they even purr when you scratch them under the chin.
"Hey, (Your/Name)! I got some new things in the shop today! Whaddaya say to these bad boys I nabbed from Big Sis Snake's room?...Huh? She's looking for m-me? Uh... A-Actually, I have a favor! Can you return these for me, h-hahaha..."

Please may I have a Oshi no ko headcanon of Ai hoshino with a male S/O who was kinda still under anesthesia after a enamel tooth repair surgery and S/O didn't really recognise his wife (Ai hoshino) under a whack load of anesthetic and asked who the pretty woman was sitting by the bed..and Ai replied that she was his wife and S/O said something along the lines of that he couldn't believe how he has a beautiful angel as a wife and it was a dream come true..and all that.
S/O was absolutely mortified afterwards and apologised sincerely to his wife if he said something to offend her after the anesthesia wore off completely and he was himself again.

Lying had always been one of their many abilities, even so to the point they can keep their entire life under wraps. Not even their own boss, Strawberry Productions' president, know a whole lot about them other than what's said on their résumé.
Was it to protect themself? Was it to convince people to like them? They weren't sure anymore. They had kept up this act for as long as they remembered, and so long that they forgot what they were doing this for. It goes to show just how much effort (Name) had put into their lies, building excuses and reasons on top of each other, only for it to come crashing down because of another liar. And that liar happened to Ai Hoshino, the very idol herself.
At first glance, you wouldn't expect a star sensation like Ai becoming close friends with nearly faceless NPC. But life loves to deceive and bend standard societial 'rules'.
Almost every single day, Ai and (Name) are stuck by each other's metaphorical hips. "Promise me, (Name). You won't tell this to anybody." The president, Ichigo, begged and grasped their shoulders. But (Name) quickly pushed his hands away, muttering curses underneath their breath.
"I promised like... What? fifteen times? I'm not some lousy mole rat that's going to snitch on their bestest friend." (Name) rolled their eyes, eyes glancing through the door's small window. Though it was frosted glass, they could clearly see Ai relaxing in her bed and caressing her belly.
"But still..." Ichigo bit his bottom lip. "Fine, I trust you. But you better not break this trust or else."
"I know, boss." (Name) merely mumbled. They turned away and held the door handle, readying themself to meet Ai's ever so starry gaze. "I know."
And when you stepped inside, Ai suddenly went into labor.
It's been years ever since Ai gave birth to the twins, Aquamarine and Ruby. And being Ai's best friend comes with a cost, and that was becoming her kids' babysitter. (Name) had little to no complaints about this, knowing full well how hard parenting is (I mean, look how they turned out—their mother completely gave up on them), but their co-babysitter, Miyako had some.
But it was nothing that couldn't be fix with a little bit of elbow gease and a lot of convincing. The four of them managed to pull it off fairly well and not a single peep about Ai's kids came out to the public.
Speaking of the kids...
"Aqua, Ruby. it's time to sleep." (Name) groaned for the seventh time, rubbing their numbing face. Though they called out for the blonde-haired babs, they wouldn't get away from the TV and continued to watching their dazzling mother perform on stage. "You know this is recorded and you can watch it tomorrow, right?"
Ruby whined. "But watching it live is so much better!! It feels like you're actually there!"
"Still though... Your mom's gonna be mad at me if she finds out that I've been letting you two stay up past your bedtime." (Name) shook your head.
"Just one more! And we promise we will sleep!" Ruby pleaded whilst Aqua didn't bother looking away from the screen, too mesmerized by the flashing colors on screen.
"... Fine. But you two better sleep or I swear—"
"We will!"
They, in fact, did not sleep after that. And rather Ai, it was Miyako scolding (Name) for letting the kids be awake at such hours. But at least, the pop sensation found the entire situation amusing rather than being angry at them.
Through it all, (Name) had been with Ai. Never as friends, but not quite like lovers either. They both know that it wouldn't end well for them, but there's a scratching hand in the back of their mind— a whisper, a dream of a time where they could kiss each other on the lips as free as they'd like without the public caring. But they knew it'll never happen.
The closest thing (Name) and Ai ever had to a romantic interaction was a simple brush of a hand; a hug that lasted far too long to be seen as platonic; the longing looks they gave each other when the other was sleeping. And it was never more than that.
And there will come a time where they'll regret about it all. A time where we'll regret keeping those feelings to themselves, no matter how confusing it is, the shame and sorrow of not being able to truly be honest to yourself will eat you up til your last, dying breath.
Ai sat there, clutching Aqua in her bloodied hands and feeling her pulse slipping from her grasps. "Aqua, Ruby... I love you." She whispered, loud enough for the twins to hear as she pressed her head on the door.
"Finally... I got to say it. I'm... I'm so happy." The idol cried out, forcing a smile to etch her features. The blood bled heavily and through her clothes, her eyes glossy and dazed from the tears and soreness.
Ai's smile flattered. If only she could say the same to (Name), If only they were here holding her dying body in their arms. But that would be too cruel of a wish, wouldn't it?
She chuckled, pushing herself up against the door with the little strength she had left, still cradling Aqua in her arms. As she said her final words, her body went limp. Her pulse slowly, painfully slipped away.
Nothing good happened after (Name) heard about Ai's death. With guilt, anger and remorse overwhelming their heart, they locked themself in their room for hours without end and buried themself under the blankets for a long time. All those years, they had grown accustomed to the blinding light of a computer screen and the smell of rot filling their room like Kudzu.
But they can't keep living like that forever, no, Miyako wouldn't let them. As well as the twins (although it's mostly Ruby would wants to help them, Aqua is still deep in murder mode). In the end, they pushed onwards for a better future. But they don't know if they could even call it a 'better future' when Ai isn't around anymore.
So if anyone asked (Name) if they knew who Ai Hoshino is, they'd instantly say no. Because if they did acknowledge whatever relationship they had with the late idol, they don't know if their heart could handle the emotional baggage all over again.

now, as you two are mantis', she is sometimes scared of what might follow if the two of you don't make it out alive one day. she tries her best to push those thoughts to the back of her mind, but sometimes when you're gone and she can't you, that exact fear bubbles in her chest and makes her anxious
it was a clear risk that came with being a mantis, and as pardo was more of a 'lucky accident', she wonders how you could take that risk upon you, willingly. it was a honorable choice to go through this, especially when the success rate was extremely low and even more honorable was the fact that you were aware of what was to come if you survived
sometimes, when the two of you sneak away to go and do your own thing, pardo openly admires you for being so strong and courageous. you are, in her eyes, already a star, the best person to exist in this world (right next to big sis elysia of course)
if you are ever self-conscious about yourself due to other people looking down on you, pardo is the epitome of your personal breathing serotonin. she will constantly remind you of how amazing you are and make fun of the people who has the nerve to insult you (or wait until eden's drunk enough to bring you one her expensive jewels as a gift; sharing is caring, right?)
because to her, as long as you two have each other in this world, there is nothing that could separate you. as long as she has you, the world always seems brighter in her eyes and you are the greatest treasure she doesn't want to let go of

now, mobius is a whole different story
mobius is well aware of the path you two are taking and in her eyes honestly? it's the only and best way for humanity in order to survive and she also makes sure that you, her s/o, knows of the responsibility coming with your newfound power
human evolution is the only way to true beauty and therefore, mobius would never judge you, regardless of whqt consequences follow after your mantis surgery
in fact, even if you became self-conscious about your new animal ears or any other new and weird ability, mobius would gently tease you about it, but not even in a mean way (or rather, as nice as mobius can be about it)
however, being with mobius, you also have to be aware that this woman has many particular interests and many of them involve having someone ontop of her surgery table and taking a 'closer look' at whatever piques her interest
after all, there aren't too many successful mantis' out there, so why not take a look at what makes then more special than the rest?
not that she would do something like that with her s/o, however you should be able to tell what mood she's in and not agree to something without questioning it first, especially when it comes from mobius (mobius would immediately giggle and compliment you for not being a dimwit)

but mobius also knows her boundaries (sometimes) and being a mantis herself, she would probably just leave it be at some point, declaring it unnecessary and not interesting at all even if you knew better. she doesn't want to push her s/o even if she is curious
you mantis' are often looked down upon by other people, considering they have genes of the very thing trying to eradicate them. mobius doesn't mind this, as they have no idea of what true beauty is and that their weakness lies in not believing in evolution beyond their human capacities
but if their words get to you and actually manage to get you in a bad mood, mobius would give you a constant reminder of what you are to humanity, but that you're far more worth in her eyes than in anyone else's. why care what some people down the street say when you're literally one of the major factors in defeating the honkai?
mobius would deny it if you ever mentioned her encouraging words to you in front of anyone else, especially in front of elysia, who's eyes are almost sparkling at, quote, "how sweet our dear mobius can truly be!", end quote
but in the end, you're beautiful and that's all that matters to mobius. you are one of the major factors humanity might have a slim chance at survival and she is clearly not trying to hide that fact from anyone
while her teasing words might sometimes sound a lot more evil than she might want to, you are well aware that beneath all that teasing and her attempts at pulling your leg, she's actually praising you.
however, mobius is would also never admit to this, but you don't mind

Despite holding the title of "Kanve," Arlecchino was by no means a dishonest or unethical woman.
You might even disagree. She came across as more of a rather dignified and respectable woman, ignoring the fact that you've only had a few encounters with her throughout your shifts at the orphanage. Her words are always firm and proper, spoken with the clarity of a commander who has been leading troops on the front lines for many years.
You could even say you privately admired her.
"Good evening [First Name]."
You bow down, baffled to have encountered her given that the majority of the employees have already gone back to their headquarters to retired for the night. She was standing across from you, her white hair appearing to glow despite the hallway's darkness. Her body was clothed in her work uniform, indicating that she had most likely just returned to the orphanage.
"There's no need to bow down here, the orphanage does not need to be obsessed with such a hierarchy of power."
She motioned for you to stand up as she approached you, a soft smile inscribed on her crimson lips. Another fascinating point would be that Arlecchino is constantly the subject of rumours claiming that she was some sort of compulsive lunatic who only knew how to manipulate people. But she never made an effort to constrain you; instead, she simply treated you just like the other employees within the orphanage.
"I do apologize. Despite your earlier warnings, I appear to have forgotten."
"There is no need to apologise for a simple error. Come along and stroll with me."
The woman's worn-out complexion captures your attention as you peek up in surprise. Her skin appears paler than usual, and the creases beneath her eyes implied that she hasn't slept in a while. Although she rarely exhibited it to others, her face retained a significant degree of softness to it. Without being able to put your fingers on it, you may sometimes suspect that the way she looks at you is a little bit different from the way she looks at the state officials who regularly visit the orphanage, ready to offer some sort of sick suggestions to deploy the children off to some life-threatening missions.
"But my lady, I am not a very interesting person. I am afraid that I may bore you."
Indeed, it is true. One would expect you to be fairly gregarious given that you deal with children on a regular basis, yet you hardly ever communicated with your colleagues outside of the obligatory exchanges.
"You are not required to converse with me; simply accompany me as I walk will do."
In her response, the woman held out her gloved hands for you to grasp. You tentatively press your knuckles onto her palm, and she tugs you behind her as she escorts you outside to the courtyard of the orphanage.
The scent of beautiful flowers permeated the air as the two of you strolled around the garden under the moonlight. Even though the walk was relatively calm, you were unsettled by the stillness as you silently peered into the woman's white hair as she marched forward. Sure, you've met several people with bright red hair or hair that was a sombre shade of blue, but you've never come across someone with such white hair.
While her hair was an odd colour, it prompted you to think of the snow that engulfed most of Snezhnaya's land, making it rather cold but you thought it was quite fitting.
She abruptly came to a halt, and you crashed into her, flushing in shame as you rubbed your cheeks at the sudden pain.
"My apologies."
You stammered timidly before realising she had led you to the fountain within the garden. The woman sat down against the marble columns and watched as you cautiously dipped your fingers into the water. Goosebumps emerged on your forearm as a result of the water's coldness.
She suddenly leaned in and grasped your face in her palms while peering into your eyes. The red stripes in her irises appeared to captivate you as they suddenly turned ominous. You had always been curious about the provenance of her eyes since you had first met her, but you lacked the confidence to probe. Those who had ever enquired about her, according to some, invariably appeared to vanish the next morning.
The woman was now only a few inches away from your lips, her icy breaths fanning over them, seemingly contemplating over something.
No, she shouldn't be acting in this manner.
She swiftly dropped your face, and turned away, the coldness of her hands vanished from your skin. You could do nothing but gawk at her in disbelief and mild surprise at what had just unfolded, thoughts racing through your mind.
"I'm ashamed, I must have been out of my mind, for the sudden inappropriate behaviour."
Arlecchino stated, before rising to her feet. Although it wasn't immediately apparent, you could sense that she was nearly humiliated by the subtle red tinting her ears as she turned away.
"The clock is becoming late; hurry back to your chamber."
She didn't make an effort to reprimand you for your involuntary bow, seemingly still mortified of her previous behaviour. You turned around and approached the estate, but not before casting a brief peek back to see that the woman was still seated at the fountain.
Seemingly oblivious of your gaze, her dark eyes remained fixed on you as you entered the manor, escaping back into your chamber.
"That was wrong of me to do," Arlecchino suddenly sighs, her fingers running to push back her white bangs as she leans back against the fountain.
Although it may not be one of her main virtues, patience is essential, and Arlecchino was prepared to wait for you.
Eventually, the time will come. Even if it meant burning down the orphanage with her own hand. Even if it meant betraying the Tsaritsa and massacring everyone else, she'll gladly do it.
Just for you.
Perhaps her title of the 'Knave' did suit her then you originally thought.

Hello! Thank you for requesting Fu Hua content, it's very much needed honestly. Hope you enjoy!
Fu Hua walked in to your room to hear a glass shattering from in it and she quickly saw you hunched over your desk, clearly frustrated, some papers wrinkle under your hands as you crush them.
Did something go wrong in your meeting today? You seemed so excited for it as you worked hard on something entrusted to you by Otto himself as he saw something great potential in you.
You grit your teeth, remember how the meeting concluded upon seeing how your hard working mission went drown the drain.
You don't understand, you went through the trouble of getting the samples first hand despite not being a fighter, you had Hua to help you and the many tests you made, to be make sure everything went well. So why....why did everything go wrong when it was time to demonstrate.
'You have so much potential, Y/n. No doubt you're be with Dr. Tesla and Einstein in due time if you continue walking this path.'
You close your eyes upon remembering Otto's words of praise, not feeling how your hand was gripping some of the pieces of glasses, blood staining the papers that no longer held importance to you now.
"Y/n, are you alright?" You freeze, feeling Hua's hand on your shoulder, bringing you out of your thoughts as you let out a shaky breathe.
"..I'm fine." You muster up, lying through your teeth as you refuse to let her see the frustrated tears running down your face.
She stares at your back, taking a step back before sitting down on your bed as you step away from the table, refusing to face her.
"How did the meeting go?" She asks.
You pause and kneeled down to pick up the shattered glass with your bare hands, not caring if you cut yourself.
She gets up quickly making your stop and that's when she sees your tear strained face as you avoid her eyes.
She lifts her hand up to your face, caressing it softly as she tells you to go sit down while she brings the first aid kit.
No words are exchanged as she bandages up your hands, cleaning the wounds to make sure they didn't infect.
Afterwards, she puts it away before sitting beside you again and after a few moments, you speak words that made her frown.
"I'm a failure," you hair fall over your face as you look down, feeling defeated. "Months of research and a waste of your time for something that just went down the drain....I'm sorry." You mutter, tears swelling up in your eyes again, bags visible under your eyes as a sign that you dedicated yourself to this.
Hua rubs your back gently, "you're not a failure. You have missions where you'll fail and some you don't, Tesla and Einstein had their ups and downs to get where they're at. No one is perfect."
She says softly to as you lean your head on her shoulder, running her fingers through your hair as she comfort you.
"Get some proper rest for now," You close your eyes and doze off almost immediately at the sound of her voice.

You stand in front of a contain filled with liquid, eyes widen as you couldn't believe what you saw.
"Hua?" You mutter, your eyes examine her body and spot a bullet hole on her forehead. The blood had long stopped due to the healing pod she was in.
The door opens behind you as you quickly look behind to see Otto standing there, "Oh, do this is where you were at, I was looking for you." You shiver upon seeing him smile at you, fear evident in your eyes as you see him put a golden gun on a table.
"What did you do?" You whisper as you connected the dots.
He smiles at you, "hm? What do you mean?"
"What did you do to Hua?!" You yell at him, "you shot her, didn't you!"
You run at him, not caring of what he can as Hua was already dead, there not much to live for now. You take a hold of his collar, lifting him as you glare at him, tears in your eyes.
"She got in the way." He says it so calm that it makes your blood boil.
"And you killed her!?"
He takes a hold of your hand, catching you off guard as he pushes you away, hitting the pod that held Hua's body.
Groaning due to the impact, you wince as you see him looking at you.
"I expect you to behave as you normally do, do let this interfere with your natural talent. You don't want to a failure now, don't you?"
You freeze up at his words as you push yourself off the pod, watching his movements before rushing to where he left the gun, aiming at him.
He looks back at you and a loud bang is heard, his body falls to ground, blood spilling onto the floor as you quickly run to where the controls are to get Hua out of the pod. Your face turns into a confused one but quickly push the button to get her out of there.
You didn't care if your clothes got wet due to the substance she was just in as you reach out for her wrist, while you reach for the ribbon in your hair and you quickly tie it on her. Before closing the pod again. You knew even if you set it to the heal, there would be no use as the gun shot killed her instantly.
You turn to leave the room to pack your things before anyone discovered Otto's dead body but glance at Hua. Forcing yourself to say goodbye to her as you run away, tears rolling down your face as your chest is filled with agony.
(5 months later)
You finally arrived at Kolosten, a day later after leaving the city where you worked at. Theresa had sent some people for you, wanting your help with something important since Tesla and Einstein were looking for some extra hands.
A boarding the hyperion, you're met with some familiar faces as they catch you up on the events happening.
"Y/n, it's nice to see you again." You look up to see Theresa as you smile at her.
"It had been a while," everyone else walks away, leaving you two catch up, walking to a more suitable place to speak.
"It was hard trying to locate you after you left," she starts off, "Kiana told me you helped her when she was in the city, I can't thank you enough."
You remember running into the girl and fully knowing who she was since Otto had filled you in on the details of her situation.
"Without her information about you, we wouldn't have been able to find you. I'm glad you accepted my request despite everything Otto has done."
You frown, pulling the black coat closer as you remember what led you to leave and the familiar feeling of sadness comes over you again.
"I have a score to set with Otto so if it means I could help defeating him, I'm willing to help you with anything." You two smile at each other before she guides you two where to where two familiar faces where at.
"Y/n? Is that you?" Tesla looks surprised upon seeing your changed appearance. You nod your head at her words, smiling slightly at her. She lights up a bit, "it's been a while, how've you been?" She shakes your hand as Einstein looks up from what ever they were working on.
"Leaving was difficult for me...but it had to done, sorry for not saying anything."
The blue haired simply shook her head, "it's fine, I heard from Kiana that you helped around the city."
"That's right, had to put my skills into something that actually helped people rather than working under Otto."
The three of you soon after gathered around, discussing what they were working on before you arrived.
Theresa quietly left the room in search of Kiana.

"...Kiana should be around here." You mutter as you look around the streets you're roaming. You don't notice the figure approaching you from behind.
"Y/n? Is that you?"
You freeze and slowly look back to see Fu Hua there. "Hua?" You mutter as tears start to build up in your eyes the longer you stare at her.
It wasn't until she smiles the smile you grew to miss all theses months, "Hua!" you ran to her, wrapping your arms around her as she sob, your hands gripping her clothes, afraid she would disappear again.
"You're alive.....am I dreaming?" You cup the side of her face, tears rolling down your face as you look at her as she continues to smile gently at you.
Your bottom lips trembles, "I....I saw what Otto did to you all those months ago, I-I left you there, I thought you were dead."
You go back to hugging her tightly, your sobs refusing to stop as she caresses your head, listening to your cries as a single tear rolls down her face as she buries her face in your hair.

Sorry if this was a bit short, I wrote this all today right after seeing the trailer, but I hope you enjoy this regardless!
The bitter howling winds of Snezhnaya chipped away at Arlecchino’s patience as she trudged her way through the freezing snow piled up in the countryside. The soft yet chilling powder reached up to her knees and seemed to stretch on for miles. Despite living for many years in this tundra-like land, the Harbinger found herself not gaining an ounce of love or affection for this nation throughout her stay here.
Not to mention, her fellow Harbingers were certainly not making things any easier for her with their wide range of personalities and quirks. Each day seemed to get longer the more she interacted with the most troublesome of the bunch.
There was only one thing keeping her here in Snezhnaya.
In the distance, Arlecchino could make out a sight that she had seen thousands of times already: smoke coming from the stone chimney of a familiar structure that she proudly called “home.” Even though it was much tinier and completely paled in comparison to the luxurious quarters of the Zapolyarny Palace, she enjoyed it far more than she could ever in the cold, desolate hallways of the Tsaritsa’s castle.
The golden rays peering through from the inside of the cabin lit up her features, the snow underneath her feet, and brought about a small smile on Arlecchino’s face - a gesture that was always only reserved for her private life. A fair distance away from the front door and in the front lawn was a set of three snow sculptures in the form of snowmen that each had a wonderous child-like flair to them from the wide smile made out of tiny pebbles and eyes made out of...sunny-side-up eggs?
Arlecchino merely shrugged it off and pushed the wooden door open, she was more than capable of buying more eggs if need be. Her stiff and tense body immediately relaxed at the first signs of warmth after what felt like hours of wading through the deep snow.
Closing the door behind her, Arlecchino stripped herself of the heavy winter jacket that helped her in her journey by warding off the chilling cold that was native to Snezhnaya. “Damn snow getting everywhere...” She muttered and hung her jacket on the coat rack, swiping off glittery snow that managed to cling onto the symbol of her position in the highest echelon of Snezhnaya’s military. When she was satisfied, Arlecchino slipped out of her soaked shoes and socks, picking them up with her right hand and bringing them along as she made her way to the living room.
Arlecchino took a moment to admire her house from the doorway connecting the living room to the foyer. Her strange-yet-oddly-charming eyes wandered about, from the fireplace in the middle of the opposite wall that basked the room in a fitting orange light, giving the room a comfy ambiance, to the numerous children books scattered across the floor, and finally to the doorway leading to the kitchen where she could smell a heavenly aroma wafting through the air and making her stomach growl.
Quietly gliding across the room and the wooden tiles, Arlecchino leaned against that very doorway with her arms crossed but she wasn’t feeling an ounce of anger or disapproval. In fact, she was watching a beautiful sight that never failed to invigorate her with a smile: the spectacle of simply being able to admire her (Hair/Color)-haired lover.
Just the mere sight of you was enough to ignite the passion in her heart and make her feel warmer than any Pyro Vision, Delusion, or even a Gnosis could ever hope to achieve. The happiness in her chest was multiplied tenfold with the little girl standing next to you, adorably standing on top of a stool to watch your lightning quick chops with the knife.
“Woah...” She said before looking up at you with stars in her eyes. “Can I try!?”
“Uh... Maybe, when you’re a bit older.” You replied nervously.
Even though you hadn’t heard the sound of the front door opening, you recognized the all too familiar sensation of someone watching. You looked over your shoulder and locked eyes with your wife, flashing her a smile.
“Welcome back, dear.” You welcomed Arlecchino back and she pushed herself off the doorway, only to catch the cannon hitting her in the stomach that was the little girl leaping at her, launching off the stool and knocking it to the ground.
“Momma!”
Arlecchino smiled and placed her daughter on the floor She crouched down and patted the little girl’s head, her red X pupils shining with pride.
“How were you today? Did you have fun?” She asked, pushing some loose stands of her daughter’s hair to the side.
“Mhm~! I did, momma! We were gonna cook dinner together and surprise you!” The little bundle of joy shouted with the utmost enthusiasm and excitement that Arlecchino had ever seen from anyone even though it was impossible to do the last part now.
“You’re too young to be learning that. How about we do something else?” Arlecchino asked, feeling a bit uneasy about letting her daughter anywhere near something that hurt her.
“Oh...” The look of disappointment on her daughter’s face almost made Arlecchino regret her words but the little girl quickly bounced back. “Okay! What should we do?“
“You can play in the snow together. How does that sound?” You offered as your daughter smiled brightly at you, unaware of the soft glare that Arlecchino was shooting at you.
“Okay!”
You and Arlecchino swore that the both of you could see an afterimage of your daughter in the room even after she had already dashed out to put on her snow clothes. Blinking twice, you two simply chuckle while she stood up.
“Leaving me behind to do all the work? How mean!” You raised an eyebrow with a playful smirk on your face as your lovely wife rolled her eyes and closed the distance between you two, giving you a peck on the cheek.
“How about making me go back outside? What do you have to say for yourself?”
“It’ll... make my food taste better?” You shrugged and Arlecchino scoffed, shaking her head and drinking your cup of hot cocoa. You giggle and pecked her on the forehead to which she hummed happily. “Dinner’s almost done. Just bear with the cold for another half hour, alright?”
“...Fine...”
“Thank you~!” You sung and turned around - only to be spun back around and feel a pair of lips press against yours. Surprised by the sudden display of affection, you freeze and just when you were about to reciprocate, your wife pulled away with a smirk.
You smile before wrapping your arms around her waist and returning to the favor, an offer that Arlecchino was more than to happy take up on.
At that moment, it was only you two. There was nothing to worry about. No Fatui. No Harbingers. No Tsaritsa. No Celestia. Absolutely nothing except each other and the crash of love and passion you two had for one another.
When you both were satisfied, you two pulled away and gazed lovingly into each other’s eyes, black and red X’s staring at (Eye/Color) and vice versa. Silently, Arlecchino leaned forward and touched foreheads with you and closed her eyes as you did the same, enjoying her presence as she did with you. Her thumb gently ran along the outline of your jaw while your hands wrapped around her waist.
“I love you, (Your/Name).”
“I love you too, Arlecchino.”
“Yuck!”
You and Arlecchino look at the doorway to see your daughter fully dressed in her winter clothing, gagging at the sight of you two being all “lovey-dovey” and ran away.
“That girl...” Arlecchino sighed and leaned her head against your shoulder, her warm breath tickling your neck. “How about the three of us go outside together?”
“You know, that doesn’t sound too bad.” Turning off the stove, you and Arlecchino walk out of the kitchen, hand-in-hand, to join your daughter in the snow, unaware of the snowballs that she had prepared to toss at the both of you.
But, until then, you and your wife spent those blissful moments before disaster, happy and glad for the peaceful, quaint life you two were blessed to share together...

Dr. Mei
On the surface, Dr. Mei wouldn’t show any emotions but underneath, her heart shatters into pieces that would never reform. The news of your death left her stunned and unresponsive for several hours, and by the time she came to, she excuses herself from the room. The moment she steps out and closes the door behind her, she slides down with her dull eyes staring at the ceiling. Her mind races as she wondered how she didn’t come up with contingency plan to protect you if humanity was to condemn you to death.
For that point on, her cold rationale but reasonable was replaced by dark scowls and irritation as her brilliant mind was frazzled by your death. She finds herself looking off into the distance more often and reaching over for your tiny hands, just to be reminded of what happened and trapping herself in a vicious cycle of grief and despair.
With a bitter smile while rubbing the purple lines on her neck, she looks to your cold body in the open coffin and whispers lowly with her slowly dulling purple eyes, “I’ll be there soon, (Your/Name). You won’t be alone anymore...”
Kevin [I] - Deliverance
It was unfair to the male. For the first time in what felt like eons, he felt a semblance of warmth in his cold heart - only for that too to be snuffed out by the harshness that is the reality of this world. Much like Mei, Kevin doesn’t show his emotions but the tiny fragment of happiness in his eyes is gone and so was all the mercy he had left.
The freezing aura surrounding him is multiplied tenfold along with his absolute hatred for the honkai. The flames of Shamash roar with his anger while his eyes glared at the enemy with disdain. He no longer cares for the survival of humanity and focuses his attention on thing alone: ending honkai once and for all.
“Humanity will never forget you, (Your/Name), nor will I, ever.“ Kevin mutters before placing the same flower crown you gave him from what felt like long ago on top of your head and pressed the button for the glass cover to close. He doesn’t look back but the crystals falling down his face speaks volumes of how much he cared about you...
Elysia [II] - True Self
Elysia’s eyes widen slightly when she heard the news before she maintains her smiling expression and tries to cheer everyone up. However, everyone could see the tremble of her lips and the tears she holds back through sheer willpower alone - she was the one taking the news the hardest. When she returns to her quarters, she breaks down and cries into her pillow, barely managing to stop herself from sobbing.
Even though she tries to keep her smile and upbeat personality, the others could see through her façade with ease as she lacked that same chirpiness they saw in the past. Her eyes were lacking the passionate flair and love she had before for she could no longer look at the world in the same way again - not when you were no longer by her side with that innocent beauty that no one would ever come close to matching. Not Eden. Not Griseo. Not even Elysia herself.
“Why... Why couldn’t it have been me? It should have been me...” Elysia thought of her grand plan to unite humanity together but now lacked the conviction to go through with it at the sight of your pale skin that used to radiate life, the eyes that shone with innocence now forever shut, and the smile on your lips gone along with your beautiful soul.
‘What was the point?’ Elysia thought to herself...
Aponia [III] - Discipline
Aponia thought it was ironic that she even told you come back safely when it was her “Discipline” that had, in her eyes, ultimately claimed your life. It always happened, she thought to herself, this merciless cycle of her trying to save someone’s life - only for them to meet their destiny all the same. She only wished that you would be the exception...
She wanted it to end. She wanted to dispel the “Discipline” she imposed on Kalpas that prevented him from harming the innocent. Yet, she wondered how that was even possible of preventing him from ending her life when she believed herself to be the most horrid sinner. She would gladly accept his blade to stab through her heart and for his flames of rage to purify her body and soul for they were the only things that could overpower the overwhelming despair eating away at her. She would accept the destiny that awaits all living things with open arms if it meant she could atone for your death and see even a glimmer of your clear soul.
“(Your/Name), sweet, beautiful child... I do not deserve your forgiveness, but, please, forgive me for my worst sin...”
Eden [IV] - Gold
Eden always saw the world with rich colors and valued the arts with her favorite art piece being a (Favorite/Color)-colored rose with a nice contrasting background and her least favorite artwork being that same flower being crushed underneath a purple and white boot - color scheme reminding her of the Honkai. How fitting, Eden thought to herself as she found herself alone and without you by her side.
She always fancied her wine as it reminded her of the past life she lived before undergoing the MANTIS surgery. However, now she drank to remember your face and the cherished moments spent with you. The only difference is that she found herself drinking more often than not, desperate to cling onto her memories with you.
“We never finished that duet we were writing to sing together in front of everyone else... It looks like I’ll have to write a requiem for you instead, my little star...”
Vii-V [V] - Helix
Having to deal with multiple personalities was difficult enough, though it was entertaining for Vii-V in more ways than one. However, to say that finding someone that could accept every single one of them was a rarity was a severe understatement. Now, it didn’t matter anymore - for how many personalities Vii-V had, there was none that could bring you back.
Vii-V’s usual drive to create gadgets and inventions meant to change the world of technology was gone. The only thing on her mind was the excited look on your face whenever you entered her workshop with an idea in mind and she would drop everything to help you with it, no matter what she was working on. However, like her drive, you were gone now.
“Hey, (Your/Name)... I finished that invention that you gave me the blueprints for. I was planning to surprise you with it for your birthday... But... I-I guess I won’t have that chance now...”
Kalpas [VI] - Decimation
Kalpas lost count of how many bodies he dumped at the feet of Aponia, screaming that he would have her head, and even more how many times he struggled against the Discipline imposed on him so he could tear her to pieces for what she had done.
The fire inside his soul was doused in the wake of your death and would only be rekindled when he saw Aponia or heard someone talking ill about you. Unlike the former where he was powerless to act upon his vengeful desires, the latter situation would end with him covering the halls with the blood of those who badmouthed you and the raging infernos of Kalpas. The only thing that he owned that wasn’t tainted was a small doll that he had stitched with his own hands, resembling you.
“You died not because you were weak, but, because I was. You died a dog’s death when you deserved a better one than I... I... I miss you, (Your/Name).”
Su [VII] - Bodhi
How many children did Su watch die from the Honkai and left him feeling helpless? Too many. How many children did Su watch die because he wasn’t strong enough. Just as many. Out of all of them, which one hurt him the most? You.
No one knows how Su’s mind works other than those who knew him on a personal level. No one would know the reason for why he always kept his eyes. However, now, they had a small inkling that perhaps it was the only way he could see you. Perhaps, they thought, he wouldn’t be able to handle seeing the image of you in that glass coffin whenever he closed his eyes and preferred what he had left of you in his consciousness...
They couldn’t be more wrong. Su was the one desperately trying to keep you alive but was also the first to learn of your fate...
“I always thought of the unending samsara as the natural course of the world... I thought that Herrschers were free from it, but, it seems that I was wrong... Why couldn’t I have been right...?” Su placed his hand on the smooth glass but didn’t dare open his eyes. He heard what people said and knew what they were saying to be true. The thought of your eyes never opening again was punishment enough for him...
Sakura [VIII] - Setsuna and Rin
Sakura freezes in place when the news hits her and she is unresponsive for several hours, too shocked by what she was hearing. And, when she does regain motor control, the hallways are filled with the sound of heels clicking and panicked pants of a young woman praying for all of this to be some kind of sick joke. It wasn’t.
Everything Sakura does lacks the motivation and is often half-assed as she couldn’t be bothered to give her 100%. Why should she when 50% of her will to keep on living was in an eternal slumber in a glass prison while the other 50% was next to her, crying and screaming for her best friend to wake up?
Sakura silently stands over your cold body and places a forget-me-not flower - a trademark signature of hers after a successful assassination mission. Was this any different? Herrschers were meant to be enemies of humanity, were they not? ‘This should be a good thing!’ is what the higher-ups said before Kalpas got his hands on their throats and silence their venomous words. Yet, Sakura felt not an ounce of ease or satisfaction at this so-called successful mission.
“Why couldn’t this mission be the one to fail in the end...?”
Kosma [IX] - Daybreak and Griseo [XI] - Stars
Kosma often pondered what was good or evil in this shithole of an era. He always thought you and Griseo to be unfortunate purities caught up in a storm of corruption and malice. He wanted to get stronger to protect you two. That was why he listened to Mobius, devoured every Honkai beast he found, and volunteered in more of her errands - just for him to fail once more when it mattered most.
Griseo liked bright colors as it made her think of everyone’s smiles and you. Now, her palette was filled with sad colors and her paintbrush remained untouched.
“...I miss (Your/Name). When will they come back?” Griseo asked, her voice quiet as always but there was an underlying hint of sadness in it as her eyes locked on the picture that you had drawn before... before you left them, forever.
“...Maybe, one day. Then, the three of us will be together again.” Kosma reassured Griseo with a sad smile.
However, both of them knew that he was lying but chose to believe it.
The world around them was usually a plethora of colors and brightness when you were here. Now, it was all black with hints of dark blue. The question boiled down to: “Whose sadness was causing the palette to darken? Kosma’s or Griseo’s?”
Mobius [X] - Infinity and Klein
Mobius knew that your death was imminent. You were a Herrscher: apostle of the Honkai and their natural enemy. So, why did the sight of your pale body leave her feeling...off?
At first, Mobius dismissed the notion that she cared at all for you. You were just another lab rat, a special one at that, for her to experiment on and find out how to make humans beautiful and how she could make herself immortal. But, did she really want that now? She didn’t know what to think anymore.
Mobius’s quality in lab experiments and general attitude around others began to rapidly dwindle as she began to grow more and more frustrated. She loathed your existence, was what she believed at first until Klein told her: “You miss (Your/Name), Dr. Mobius, like us. Just admit it.” The stubborn woman shook her head and tried to ignore the burning sensation in her chest after those words were said. Did she miss you?
Mobius doesn’t respond to Klein’s forwardness and takes some time off to reevaluate the relationship you two had. She notices a heartbroken Elysia, a depressed Aponia, and an addicted Eden to see that she was suffering as much as they were with the only difference being that she was the only one hiding it.
Then, realization begins to set in and the three words echo in her mind: “(Your/Name) is gone.”
“Fate is a funny thing.” Mobius said with her usual smirk as she approached your body but anyone could see the shakiness behind it and knew that the only thing keeping the millions pieces together was her sheer determination. “I always wondered what a beautiful human would look like, thought that all life was meaningless to me so long as it was for the greater good and also thought I was right. So, why...” Mobius places a hand on the glass as two drops of water hit the cover with a satisfying ‘plop’ and she looked down at you with a frustrated and vulnerable expression. “Why did you have to go and prove me wrong?”
Hua [XII] - Vicissitude
Hua never thought that she would experience anything as traumatizing as when she lost her captain, Himeko. Fate was a cruel being, she thought to herself as she locked herself in her room and cried herself to sleep.
Why did everyone she cared about have to die? First, her father in Bohai City. Second, Captain Himeko in Australia. And now, the latest, you bleeding out in her arms. In her dreams, Hua is haunted by dreams spent reliving that moment over and over until she woke up late at night, drenched in sweat and tears running down her face.
Hua doesn’t dare use Fenghuang Down to make herself forget the trauma as it would also require her to forget the good memories you two made - a fate worse than death, she argued.
“You still have the option of sending yourself in an endless paradise where Himeko and (Y/N) are still alive.” A voice in her head whispered to her.
“I know. But, to do such a thing would be the same as pretending they weren’t living people and are objects for my happiness. I could never dishonor them by forgetting...”
Pardofelis [XIII] - Reverie
Pardofelis always fancied squeezing out some extra coins from the unsuspecting and most of the time it involved your allowance. She could remember how many times she stole from you and fed into her money-loving addiction.
Now, if she could, she would give away everything she owned to see you again. To be able to see your pouts and tears of frustration as you realized that you were scammed by the shopkeeper once again. To hear your laughs and feel your hands playing with her feline additions. It was all she wanted now. No amount of money or riches could compare.
Whenever she wakes up, she finds herself sorely missing the comforting presence of you curled up next to her. When she opens her eyes, she hates the feeling of remembering that you aren’t a part of this world anymore. Then, when she’s finally awake, she despises the helpless feeling of having a hole in her chest, left by your death.
