The Human Nature" I have had a collection of dreams recently that has made me question the nobility and candor of the human mind and soul. These dreams, which depicted scenarios of the present, have forced me to make known these enduring questions that have me hesitant about my verdict of humans and the so called “Human Nature”. There is one that has yet to elude my thoughts as of yet and it has caused me to question specifically the human behavior in a generalistic manner. What is it about a subtle difference that makes us fear or despise? Such as one’s accent or color of skin, like in the days of segregation? Surely it does not matter anymore, because those dark days are over are they not? I for one do not think that is so. I believe that the days of segregation are still looming above us forcing us to abhor another unfortunate target. Of course due to the horrifying devastation that was 9/11, we’ve no choice but to do so, but even though our reasoning is justified…. isn’t it being distorted? Isn’t it only becoming another tool used against an entire people who are unfortunately being tainted by a select few? What is it about humans that make us compelled to destroy one another either on the battlefield or something more simplistic as an office building? Friendly competition…fighting for justice? For what is “right”? What is “right” but a simple point of view set by one and learned by another? Why must we as humans try to selfishly better ourselves instead of bettering the society in which we live in? Is it possible for humans to become the very source of the problem that they are trying so desperately to solve? If so, what then? What do we do when we find ourselves as a species at the brink of lunacy and chaos? Will we simply continue and forcibly eliminate ourselves off of this earth? At our last hours look to something better in hope that we can receive the liberation we our desperately searching for? Or would we stop this madness sooner rather than later, in order to avoid our legacies from being tainted by OUR mistakes and misgivings? So that they may have their fair chance in living in this wondrous world? I do not doubt or question out of spite or despondency, but rather in hope…hope that these Rantings will be seen and heard by many others in our near and far future, so that they may learn and one day overcome the many obstacles that hinder our Unity as a species. As it has once been said, “An eye for an eye leaves the world blind”.

The ranting of a desolated man What makes a man miserable? Is it simply just an imbalance of chemicals inside the mind and system? Something that can be resolved with a simple prescription? Or is something more? Something deep down inside the soul that beckons to be heard, seen and felt? Is it something that, without feeling or sense of presence, makes man wither away into nothingness? This feeling…. is it something so small that it can go undetected even under the eyes of a trained individual? Or is it something so big…. so gigantic, that everyone seems to ignore it to see something else, that…. “Broader Horizon”. I ask, “What is it? What makes man like this?”, only the sound of silence reaches my ears. Can it simply be that questions such as these are never meant to be answered? Or is it that only a very select few have the wisdom to do so? This feeling of desolation…. Is it never-ending? Or does it eventually come to a close? Is it so powerful a feeling that it makes men commit unspeakable acts? Or is it so insignificant yet so piercing that it racks the mind to the point of near insanity? What is this feeling? Is it something that is needed in order to view the “big picture”? Something that, without it, makes life simple and plain? Something that is used in order better one’s self? Or is it just something that the very few and the very unfortunate experience in order to test their resolve? The Scriptures tell us that there is something more out there…something to alleviate this feeling of desolation. If so, where is this source of Redemption? Of Purity? Can it be found only through a single book? Can it only be seen in a building of the Cross? Can it be felt in the hearts and minds of the many people we walk by everyday? The ones we talk to about daily events? Or is it none of the above? Something else so…Grand and Majestic that human comprehension ceases to reach? Will it ever be discovered, the intent of this feeling? Will man ever see the day that it is? Or is it just a thing of adversity?
