“No. It is not.”
. Solas looks down his nose at the bound creature, slitting his eyes in suspicion. No man or monster was ever bound and leashed without reason. Whether that reason was in itself reasonable was the true question. He sniffs. “Why are you here?”
Yue’s own eyes narrow in annoyance. He’s doesn’t like the attitude he’s receiving from the other elf. Doesn’t like the arrogance he’s certain he’s getting from him.
“I don’t see why that should matter, but if you must know I wandering into the wrong place at the wrong time.” He huffs.
“Last I remember a few of your scouts were ambushed by some mages. I imagines this is simply a case of mistaken imprisonment, but this is...awfully unappreciative for someone simply trying to help.”
❝ if you free me, perhaps we can work together. ❞ @dragonagedmage
"I have made such promises myself."
"----Rarely have I kept them."
“That was either a yes or no question.” He frowns a moment later.
“At least untie me so I can find my own way out of this mess.”

Tobi gripped his weapons. When Yue reacted, he knew that they were in danger. Damnit, it had to have been a trap! It better not be red templars. If it was, they might blow his cover. He was supposed to be spying on the Inquisition, but the truth was… he’d not been spying for a long time. He didn’t care.
He didn’t care about the war, he didn’t care about the red templars or Corypheus, and he didn’t care about the Inquisitor. He just wanted to survive, no matter the cost. But if Yue found that out… then he’d likely tell someone and then he’d be put in prison.
When he heard the armour, the heavy footsteps, it was too late. He went to grab Yue, but he saw them, clad in their red lyrium dress. Tobi gritted his fangs, taking a step back. For him, the red stuff wasn’t bad. They’d tried to drown him in it, but Rage meant he was apparently immune, and the deformity never happened. The demon had cleansed him of it. But Yue? He was a mage, he’d be susceptible to it.
“Get back,” he ordered Yue. “Let me handle this. You’ll be infected.” He, of course, had no idea that Yue was far more powerful than he looked.
“Well, well,” said one of the templars. “Fancy running into you, wolf.”
Tobi growled. “What do you want?” he asked, hoping to get out of this alive and without Yue finding out where he’d really come from.
“Who is your friend?” The templars moved forward.
“He’s no one. Just some elf,” Tobi said. “So be on your way and leave us be. The Inquisitor wants to know what’s in here, and we’ll get that information for them.”
It was unnerving, he had to admit, seeing Red Templars up close. He might have fought templars before, the rogue ones. But these ones...they were different. Surrounded in a sickening aura of wrong. Even their appearance, as subtle as some of their differences were, were also just a shade wrong.
He never took the regular lyrium even to help with his magic stores. If this is what the red version did to people, he wanted nothing to do with it himself. Who knew what would happen to him if he were exposed to it.
He didn’t want to hazard a guess or find out from experience.
He obeyed Tobi’s order, but shot a look at him nonetheless.
Let him handle this?
And how exactly was he going to handle this? He was in just as much danger with the red lyrium as Yue was. Certainly, Tobi had a demon inside him that granted him several useful, and admittedly terrifying abilities, but that didn’t make him invincible.
And what was with that strangely familiar tone they had with the werewolf?
He can feel his hackles rise as the red templars draw closer to them. He bares his teeth at the one that draw too close to them, a warning hiss sounding from him.
“I don’t think you want to know what ‘just some elf’ is capable of if you decide against stepping aside.”
How do you feel about cheese. Specficallyyyyyyyy Orlesian cheese
Ask my character "How do you feel about ______?" Can be an idea, person(s), place, or thing, and they'll have to answer honestly.

"That depends. Is it that Olesian cheese that smells like feet and with the blue spots and tastes just as terrible. Then I find it revolting. Fancy cheese or not, they can keep it." A pause.
"But...if its that really nice, creamy cheese that melts that they put over potatoes and vegetable. Please. Give me all of it. I just want to swim in melted cheese and eat it."

"I find him quite nice and easy to be around. I'll admit, I initially found it a bit intimidating to be around another Dalish elf when it's been so long since I've been around one. But its nice. I rather like hearing him talk about different things."

"Ras! Would you like to help taste test something for me? I finially figure out the correct consistency. It only too me...8 times to get it right this time." @dragonagedmage aka Yue is trying to make ice cream and may or may not be failing
"Yue, I'm going to be honest. If it turns me into a toad or something we are breaking up and I'm finding a way to end you."
He looks startled by the accusation. “W-what? No of course not. That...happened the first time, but that was only temporary. I don’t even know how that happened...But I promise! Nothing terrible will happen.”

“Failure is foreign to me. I’ve never been felled in battle. No one has shown me defeat, so I’ll slaughter ‘em all like cattle”
“…Should I be concerned? Is this an Avaar things that I should know about?” A pause before he looks starstruck.
“Did someone throw a sheep at you and now you must battle them for dominance? Can I watch?”
“Only if you plan to stand in my way.” Raserei replied flatly.
It was a cold response, but it was an honest one. Valor was roiling inside him, wanting out, rage getting dangerously close to consuming the spirit. So many years and this was it. Everything was coming to this point. The larger problems of the world be damned in this moment.
“A tossed sheep would have been less of an offense.”
Josephine burst in as Raserei finished painting the last of vitaar on his chest.
“Raserei, please reconsider this. I understand your anger, but there are other ways we can solve this!”
Pale eyes fall on the Antivan woman, “No, there isn’t. Now step aside.”
Oh.
This was serious.
Yue can only remember a handful of times where he’s gotten such a cold response. None of them had been good. Exciting, yes, but not necessarily good.
Especially if it involved vitaar like what Ras was currently painting on himself. Worried as he was about this, he can’t help but be morbidly curious on what this might be about. Though before he can ask, Josephine is rushing in. He steps closer to the ambassador, placing an hand on her shoulder and attempting to pull her back.
“Lady Josephine I don’t think there will be any stopping him at this point...”
“Failure is foreign to me. I’ve never been felled in battle. No one has shown me defeat, so I’ll slaughter ‘em all like cattle”

“Did someone throw a sheep at you and now you must battle them for dominance? Can I watch?”
"...So Josephine is sending me off on a diplomacy mission for a few weeks. And by that I mean she's wanting me to be out of Skyhold while a visiting noble is here because I may or may not have punched him last time he was here. For insulting elves. And she doesn't want a repeat. Which is understandable...so...see you in three weeks?" -Yue @dragonagedmage
Raserei was listening intently but everything went out the window with one part.
"Wait," Raserei's eyes narrowed, "You get to punch nobles and you just get sent away but I can't even look at them wrong without it being an 'international scandal'?! I want to punch a noble!"
Perhaps Raserei should be more concerned about Yue being gone for a while or the insult, but the Avvar was very upset over the restraints he'd felt himself under in recent time.
@dragonagedmage
Yue smiles sheepishly.
“I wouldn’t say that I got to punch nobles. Just the one. And it was sort of...unintentional.” Only sort of.
“One minute he was just blowing hot air out of his mouth about elves and some other...beings he might have seen around Skyhold. And the next thing you know, there he is, sprawled on the ground bleeding from his nose.” He shrugs.
“It just couldn’t be helped.” He could have, of course, but Yue had let his anger get the best of him. Oh well.

The sound of the door opening startles him as he’s preparing for bed. Shirt off and his glove halfway down his arm, he hastily tugs it back up to cover the rest of his arm as he whirls to see who’s coming in.
Yue’s should slump in relief when Raserei’s large form fills the space of his door.
“Oh Raserei.” He grins at him.
“To what do I owe the pleasure of this visit?” He shivered at the draft produced by the previously opened door, grabbing the fur blanket nearby and draping it around him before approaching the Avvar.

Every sound seemed to ricochet off each other, and Yue was right, it was disorientating. Frustrating. Somehow, Tobi got the feeling that they weren’t supposed to be here. He’d already considered it might be a trap, or maybe it was just a bandit hideout. If it was the red templars, he should have known. Then again, he’d not reported back to Samson in what felt like weeks, it could have even been months.
They’d be pissed if they did happen to run into him. He was supposed to let them know what the Inquisition was doing, but to be real honest, he couldn’t give a shit about the red templars. He didn’t care about Corypheus either, not that he cared about the Inquisition when their Inquisitor was a cunt of a man.
Tobi strained his ears, trying to listen. “I can’t tell,” he whispered, the hairs on the back of his neck prickling. Rage did not like his uncertainty, and he could feel the demon pressing at the surface, wanting to change. He kept his cool, though. So long as he was calm, the demon didn’t have any sway.
Moving, he unsheathed his sword. “Just in case…” He moved his head to motion for Yue to continue at his side as they took a few more steps. “Be on guard.”
The mage didn’t need to be told twice to be on guard.
Yue echoed Tobi movements, pulling his staff from his back and cautiously taking stock of their surroundings. He didn’t need his staff to be dangerous, magic or otherwise, but there was just something comforting about having having something solid and familiar in his grasp in the midst of such uncertainty.
He focuses once more, closing his eyes and listening. He tries to concentrate more on what he’s hearing now that they’re not really moving and...
There!
He hears them.
Footsteps.
Heavy, armored footsteps.
So he had been right, but this sounded less like bandits like he’d originally thought. Bandits he’d been prepared to handle with just the two of them like last time. But heavily armored warriors? That was a whole different story.
The footsteps close in on them fast and Yue barely has time to think and let out a curse in elven before the group is on them.
Shit.
