Hello! I'm Morgan (I'm not writing my middle names) Brucetus.
From the moment I could set my parents' curtains on fire with a spell, I've been taught and learning magic. My primary school is alteration and a bit of destruction. I was worthless at illusion until a certain book....
UNWILLING servant of Hermaeus Mora by the way. I do NOT like it.
Basic stuff about me
- I'm a breton and whatever age is equivalent to 30. Used to live in Cyrodiil in my childhood but for the past 10 or more years I've been living in Skyrim, Winterhold
- I have a cat named Juniper!
- Archmage at the College of Winterhold
- who I am as a person... people call me snarky. Maybe easily frustrated? Bad habit of lying. I'd like to think I'm a good person.
Picrew is made by: Crowesn, tiefling maker
Basic description (edit because I forgot)
She's in her late 20's. Shorter than average breton with arcane tattos scattered on her body. Some are missing because of burn scars on her right forearm and right side abdomen(from Helgen, Alduin’s fault).
Grew up in the Imperial city, her mother a mage and her father a scholar/researcher. Despite growing up in Cyrodiil and having no contact with her family in High Rock, she still gets reminded of her noble family despite it.
She moved to Skyrim when she was 16-17 to study at the college of Winterhold and to get away from her family. She got caught in the ambush when she was an archmage.
I caved and also procrastinating writing. I'm currently writing a fanfic with Morgan, it's not finished but soon...
Any asks are fine, the ones I don't like I just won't answer.
For those interested (heads up, it's not very good. It's mostly practice and for fun)
Morgan felt Alduin's eyes in the back of her neck. She tried to make herself smaller in her hiding spot and calm herself enough to muster up a spell or a shout. Her shaking hands prevented her from concentrating on a spell as she tried to focus on stop shaking.
Most of the draugr were dead, it was just her, Morokei, and Alduin. She's defeated both of them before, she could defeat them again. But not when both are here. She had at least one card up her sleeve. She held both of her hands as she focused on the name.
Vul Kaal Dez.
Morgan hoped Eivine would be able to hear, even from here.
Surreptitiously in the peaks above, Morokei lifts a hand at the signal. Magicka responds. A spell settles over the valley. No one shall be leaving by magic means.
"Hi daal het nuz fent ni bovul nol het."
The quartet are suddenly blasted by blue winds streaming down as though they come from the mountaintops themselves. The voice comes with a customary drain of magicka much like when Morokei spoke before the gathered dragonborn's own battles with him.
(With a deafening shout, pieces of the cliff fall from the earth that held them. The maze's exit is blocked. Draugr start to appear from the shadows, each wielding weapons of jagged bone.)
Spaan Dein Suleyk.
(The draugr grows stronger with the shout, each one linked to and protected by Alduin's mighty life force. The dovah himself remains landed, just far enough away from the fight to be unreachable as his army fights.)
Thagan smiles widely under his mask, the crackle of his magic still remaining quite strong even as his magica is being drained- it's as if his well is constantly being restored. He looks to the draugr for a moment before Donvir walks slowly towards the closest ones, not quite caring if he doesn't have much magica, as he's more physical.
"We're perfectly fine. There's a reason we wanted to come to deal with this one specifically."
At that, he pulls his twined Dawnbreakers out, looking dead at them as he does.
Svea took advantage of the fleeting moment of confusion to bring herself to her feet and sprint away from the other three to avoid getting caught in the crossfire. She spotted an opening between the fewer draugr that came from the left and weaved through them swiftly before one could get a hit in on her.
The only thing that this draugr horde understood that they were to do was attack. Indiscriminately. So, Svea had to be clever enough to minimise her priority as a threat. Luckily, as her retreating form disappeared around the corner of the outer maze wall, none of the draugr chose to pursue, keeping their focus on the three still boxed in with the word wall.
Morokei notices Svea escaping. Quickly, he shouts to cover her disappearance from draugr and dragonborn. A blizzard envelops the dovahkiine. The ice storm will distract his enemies whereas the draugr are resistant. It is like Svea's fabricated story has come true.
Morgan took cover behind the closest wall she could find and crouched down. Alduin and Morokei who can drain her magicka. Why did she choose to go on this one? Pettiness? Probably.
She crouched down and kept concentrating on her spell. Morokei also uses magic, shouts are sort of like magic. A lighting storm should affect the both of them.
Donvir makes a face as he hears his shout repeated, but cares not for such things completely. Thagan will heal him if needed, after all. Immediately after, the bosmer rushes towards a portion of the many draugr and flurries slices after slices at them with his Dawnbreakers.
Elsewhere, Thagan can feel Morgan's spell being prepared, and so he starts to prepare a bit of normal chain lighting, aimed towards the rest of the horrid risen. The moment she releases hers he would do just the same with his own.
The draugr that surrounded the trio were mostly comprised of Scourge lords, Death lords and Death overlords; something to match them in strength, and, quite hopefully, overwhelm them.
Svea could feel the electricity in the air from the build-up of the dual lightning spells, even as she reached the caved-in entrance and turned on her heel quickly to go through a side door in her left that led up, to one of the elevated walkways that lined both sides of the open chamber.
She wasn't at all in a panic over the possibility of any of the offensive spells reaching Alduin or Morokei, the ward Morokei had placed over the chamber prevented any sort of magic from getting out, and that included transportation or teleporting spells, and the both of them were safely on the other side of the ward.
As Morgan was priming her spell, one of the draugr scourge lords lumbered up behind her, greataxe raised up high over its head and ready to strike.
Morokei floats in closer to the battle, though remaining on his side of the ward. Normally, he liked to start battles with summoning an atronach but he would need a moment to do so after casting the ward, even after having alternated between the thu'um and conventional magics.
(From where he is perched, he summons a storm of meteors from the tempest above, each one aimed at the dovahkiine. He watches them in horrific satisfaction, the depth of his eyes betraying the loathing he holds for these three, for mortality, for Akatosh. He will not rest until he has his victory, until his rage is heard and listened to by all the realms.)
Morgan was far too focused on her spell to notice the draugr right behind her. It was until one her instincts screamed at her to move. She got up and spun around, getting a minor cut from the draugr.
When Alduin summoned his meteors she sighed heavy and threw her lighting storm towards Morokei until it stop right above him, lighting striking him or the area around him.
Morgan took several steps back and bombarded the one draugr with ice spikes. She ignored her bleeding shoulder.
Donvir decides to use the meteor plummeting down towards him to try and take out, or at least harm a large chunk of the draugr, dashing away with a swift whirlwind sprint shout. Of course that dragon wants to play with them like a child plays with their food. Heinous.
Thagan however decides to chain lightning any and all draugr he's near, right before side stepping a bit once he hears the noise of a falling meteor.
"Heeeeey giant LIZARD! Stop with that shit or I'll eat YOUR heart next! And Morokei-"
He just... flips the dragon priest off. All while wearing his mask.

It seemed that such bravado would be the death, or near death, of Thagan. One draugr just lucky enough to have been spared by his chain lightning, approached from his blindspot. It let out a rough, gurgled battlecry before it brought its weapon down onto his back, cleaving right through his shoulder blade in a vicious hit.
(Alduin is starting to feel drained from the effort of sustaining his army; not enough to make him a feasible target, but enough to cloud his focus ever so slightly. He shouts again, smoke flowing from his mouth.)
Laas Suleyk Haas
(The shout heals all the remaining draugr, giving them more than enough strength to continue fighting.)
Morgan charged herself up before she cast threw a fireball into a group of draugrs, the majority of them fell but the hardier still stood with their weapons high.
She glanced to Alduin as he shouted. Another attack on her arm forced her to pay attention to the draugr. The wound was deeper this time. Despite the screaming pain, she lifted up her arms to shoot down more draugr with ice spikes.
We need to get out of here. This is far too much than we had planned!
Her companions never respond. Morokei's storm atronach has appeared. It descends upon the Winterhold cotingent. The Daedra only adds to the whirlwind of ice and meteors with its own attacks. If any of the overwhelmed allies scream out, it is lost in the maelstrom. They are finally overcome by the onslaught of enemies.
Next to Morgan, bodies blacken. New corpses contort and then crumple to the ground. Electric energy has chained a new generation of college mages together in death. Their archmage is left out: the long bolts of lightning only just barely arc around her. It might be her small cover that sees her through, or perhaps fate or even sheer dumb luck. Whatever the reason the end conclusion is the same: Morgan Brucetus is all alone in the storm.
Morgan froze in place as she watched her fellow mages fall. She knew this would happen when they encountered Morokei. It has already happened before. Yet she had a false belief that things would be different, that despite becoming a better, more powerful mage than the first time she encountered Morokei her efforts was still in vain. She was responsible for them. She was responsible for their death.
As another lightening struck by her, she snapped out of her (almost) catatonic state. She could make it out of here, somehow. Just no teleporting or easy way out of here. She'd need to get rid off the storm atronach and Morokei. Alduin was stopping her though, he made it unpredictable. She remained hidden as she tried to think of an escape plan.
We had a picnic in the Rift. Small grove area, really nice. We mostly just talked and drank a bit of wine and I might be a bit tipsy from it. Either way, we just talked and it was nice and easy to talk. And we both were worried about it but it was fine. We held hands at one point.

I'll be honest I'm not... very good at this. I was really nervous before getting here. You know, common anxiety of you maybe not showing up or I've messed up something. But I feel better now.
That makes two of us. I've... never really gone on a date before now. I was feeling anxious about it, worried that I would somehow mess things up. But I also feel better, now.
I should probably start cleaning up... unless you want to spend more time of course. I have nothign else planned for today. We could go to Riften if you feel like getting robbed.
