in axez’ pursuit to make his game perfect and marketable to newcomers he accidentally alienated his older fans and this isnt even a mean thing to say

like i love mo4 dont get me wrong. but i think axez needs to face the music and realize he should not polish everything before finishing the game. fans will get bored and leave. not saying he should only ever dedicate himself to story updates, but its been ~4 years since v4. and v5 was nice. yeah. but i dont think it was much of a concern to fans that there was potential plotholes.

im biased here and i love plotholes, honestly. what people assume is laziness or forgetfulness leaves a lot of creativity for fans to try and bridge the gaps to make it more coherent. i really enjoy that aspect. mo4 still has that, and v5 story still has tiny gaps, but i also believe introducing nyakicchi so late into the story was not a good idea since it looks like he’ll be playing a pretty important role. i can excuse machikas appearance because she Does show up prior to v5, that intrigue was created into her character, but makgeolli and nyakicchi ( moreso nyakicchi since makgeolli is a sidestory one off ) are a bit confusing
