The day we met… Was the day everything changed..
There was still the blood, the ripping of hearts and intestines. There was still the screams.. Oh, how I loved the screams.
Bodies strewn about everywhere in the room, broken glass, furniture, and me standing at the middle, full of pride from my work of art all around me, covered in blood. And although I cannot smile physically, I smiled wickedly internally to myself. The killing was always the fun part of every mission.
There I was, about to turn and leave the scene, and then…
I saw you..
My fallen angel. Such a dangerous beauty, unlike any I’ve ever seen before. If I could breathe, you would’ve taken my breath away. Was this love?
No, impossible. I cannot love. I don’t have a beating heart… It’s not possible for a demon like me to fall in love… Is it?
No matter, from that day on, you followed me everywhere, despite my wishes for you to leave me be. You were a stubborn skin suit, I’ll give you that, but.. I honestly thought it was… Cute.
Ah, but alas… You made me fall in love with you anyway… How? I’m a disgusting monster, a simulacrum for gods sake! And as if you read my mind, you looked up at me and said in the softest voice..
“You and I are not so different, Rev..” You pause and smile sweetly at me, “We are monsters, are we not? And as such, we have each other.” With that, you stood on the tips of your toes to kiss my cold, metal cheek. “Don’t go thinking I’ll leave you any time soon.. I’m yours, always.” You say as you nuzzle into my cold, hard chest.
With those words, I no longer felt alone, and finally felt like I belonged somewhere other than off killing those who I felt were so deserving… In fact, from that moment, I knew I’d make this woman my wife.
