Hello Tumblr! Been a while. Figured if I'm getting around to putting art here again I might as well do so in an organized fashion. Hence: new pinned post!

My name is Kip, i go by they/he pronouns, here on the interwebs I am also happy to answer to Dragon. I am a College Student which means my art output is severely limited by homework unless school is on break. On my blog you can expect to see OC art, shenanigans, grievous violence, bad jokes, an odd comic or two and even the occasional dragon.

I'm using tumblr to have a more organized and tagged system for my art, because I'm tired of digging around 10 different discord servers every time I want to find an Image I've made. that said even though this is going to be mostly archival feel free to come by say hi leave a comment send an ask. do a silly dance in my dms. idc. strangers mutuals all are welcome

4: if you could do anything at all today, what would it be?

I would be ringing in the new year by playing catan or monopoly with some friends, maybe have some drinks. I've always wanted to have a board game marathon till midnight on new year's eve, but I've never had enough friends lmao. or at least not enough that liked board games.

14: if you could give a TED talk on anything, what would you talk about?

I am torn between my love of character design and my hatred of advertising. But in the end I probably have more concrete thoughts about why advertising sucks. so. i would probably go onstage and espouse my conspiracy theory that being surrounded by videos and images trying to cultivate a desire for Products. is not great for one's sense of worth and contentment in life.

Artfight attack of @ohpsshaw's horrible old man, Xav This is attack two of two done in this style.

Okay. You can't just compliment the way I draw arms in a piece and then expect me *not* to take that as an invitation to flex when I've already threatened you with more art. Rendering his fuzzy chest and his wrinkly old man face was so fun, but the part of this I'm happiest with is definitely that glass he's holding.

Trying to get the shading on this just right really tapped into whatever part of my brain was going crazy with nothing but pencils to render with in gradeschool. I will definitely be looking for excuses to do more art like this. Might even try it out on some of my own ocs (what a concept, lmao)

Artfight attack of @biteghost's scary old man Eustal This is attack one of two done in this style.

Scary Old Men are a favorite of mine to draw, so when I wanted to fall back on my comfort zone later in the fight to avoid burnout Eustal was a natural choice. The swirls of smoke in the background and the textures in the shading were probably my favorite things to work on for this piece (Well. That and the fun of drawing a guy built to take other guys apart with his bare hands).

I say attack one of two, but this drawing was actually completed After the one of Xav (which is queued to post after this one), in spite of being the first one uploaded to the site.

A pair of artfight attacks i did for @ohpsshaw, who made the mistake of cultivating a blog full of incredibly engaging characters and expressive art that could be stumbled upon by any unfortunate passerby when I was first exploring tumblr and consequently ended up being one of the artists whose work lives rent free in my brain.

These guys were all so, SO fun to draw. Working on these was genuinely one of the highlights of my artfight experience (and netting a ton of points for indulging my ideas and piling on the characters was a nice bonus)

The only characters not native to Marissa's work are in the second attack: my gal Marci, and my buddy corpsehouse's beautiful masked menace of a woman, Salt

Second batch of Artfight Attacks! These were done in a style based on some old icons I made for my OCs that I wanted to revisit. I had a lot of fun with the shading in particular here, as you can probably tell

First batch post of attacks from Artfight this year! These were all a little more experimental than what I usually do- artfight is my favorite time of year to play around and experiment with poses, compositions, or rendering styles I wouldn't usually try.

This year's artfight turned out to be INCREDIBLY fruitful, personal best by a LONG shot for me. Usually I rarely get through more than 4 attacks, and burn out in the first week. This year I managed 13 finished pieces, broke 1000 points (I doubled my point count this artfight!!), and revenged every attack I received (okay that last one isnt that impressive when i got like 3 attacks but STILL).

Thank you to everyone who drew one of my bastards! Always a treat when I get an attack since it happens so rarely- but the Real joy I find in artfight these days is getting to read the comments of people freaking out because I drew them cool stuff.

Overall a great time, a lot of fun. Still didn't get around to attacking everyone I wanted to but that just means I'll have to look forward to doing this again next year!
