neuromods:
Lie tried and failed.
M touches its face to imitate a thoughtful gesture courtesy of Morgan and was genuinely startled to feel stubble across a broad jaw. Somewhere along the way it had shifted form to resemble not the flesh and blood Morgan Yu but a what if of Morgan re-imagined as a man. A concept it had been toying with only to abandon when it had unsettled Alex.
It held up a hand to show it meant no harm. “Only a question. Your legs,” it pointed to the odd metallic boots that had been the initial draw. “They look artificial. I–” the syllable caught on its teeth, has to be forced out on a hard consonant, “–wanted to know if they were. That’s all.”
For added effect it shrugged, a jerky motion that still conveyed the nonchalant attitude it wanted.
"....”
Hanzo just stood silent for a few moments, a disgusted and annoyed expression forming on his face as soon as his ‘legs’ were mentioned.
“I would’ve preferred if you mugged me.”
"What does it matter to you? The state of my ‘legs’ are none of your business.”
There was still something very off and unsettling about this man, perhaps it was his intuition? Confronting someone who was stalking you while caught in the middle of an alleyway wasn’t exactly the most comforting situation.
