others had received a driver. envy had promptly taken care of that issue.
they felt sick, an odd sensation for one immune to most ailments. they curled up in the back seat of the car that had been intended to take them ... wherever. too many thoughts buzzed angrily in their skull, like a thick swarm of bees. it was hard to focus on any one thing for too long. thus, the driver had met their untimely demise. prodding the homunculus was not wise.
a commotion had begun outside, but envy was not listening to the shouts and laughs. they stared unblinking at the back of the driver’s seat, trying to piece together their situation.
the car rocked and envy blinked. the driver’s door is hastily yanked open, giving way to a blonde woman dropping herself heavily behind the steering wheel.
leaning up on that elbow, they remained speechless, merely watching.
