Even though the name is tongue in cheek and can make people react when hearing about it, once you experience it you know exactly where the spirit of the name comes from. The heart of not taking yourself too seriously while still seeing the simple truth. I meet a lot of new people and create even stronger bounds with the people I know when I put on this type of event.

So after Draw,Bitch the art is not always finished. Sometimes its best to walk away from pieces that were made in the moment...but Draw,Bitch 4 was so dope Pedram and myself returned a couple days later to finish what we started. It was a good time and I'm glad I was smart enough to document it.
Enjoy!

More moments! What I really love about Draw,Bitch is the way everyone is working together. I went with the large paper so it would be about covering the walls. I didn't want people sitting and disappearing into their own line of vision. I want creators to move and be dynamic. On top of, underneath, side by side...hell, its like the Kama Sutra of live art experiences. Constantly evolving. As people leave and people arrive the walls are shifting....well, people pretty much stay the whole time...ha!
The room is mixed with pros, amateurs and fans who are old to young, male to female and or many different ethnic backgrounds. But one thing is common amongst them all... The fun they are having!
This video was a beta test for other projects I had in the mix. I will be evolving this into a Draw,Bitch video series. Where I will be collaborating on many levels with many different types of artists... Stay tuned!

Don't let the name fool ya, the only thing aggressive about this event is the way we create together. But all the passion is positive not negative. I came up with the name Draw,Bitch from my personal history. One of my teachers would always tell me, there's no secret just Draw,Bitch...and he was right. It's all about the act of creating.
I'm planning out new venues for future Draw,Bitch collaborations. In the meantime I hope you get inspired by the images and videos I have posted!

Personally this was my favorite Draw, Bitch! the 4th one...4 is the Apache sacred number. For instance, when giving a gift they would hand the gift four times before letting go in order to show intention. I was taught this method by my friend It'Sa who is an Mescalero Apache who walked with the medicine men and warrior tribes. He is much younger then me in age, but far beyond me in spirit.
So Draw,Bitch 4 was the forth time it was offered. Meaning, it was intentional. And the people really responded!
