Clearly I hate myself because I started this at about 2am. I can’t even tell if it’s any good because it’s so late now my critical thinking is compromised. And there’s so so many pens. I couldn’t fit them all on the same page so I had to improvise a bit for the photo. I’d have just waited to catch up the next day but I have other projects I wanna work on and I didn’t like the idea of needing to do two inktober pieces along with that. Ok so. I’ve never really felt the need to get one of those Beanie Boos. They’re not really my thing and their eyes more often than not bother me. But then today I found this Halloween themed spider one and it’s so cute??? So I couldn’t resist. And then I decided to doodle it for today’s inktober. I was gonna add color to match the real one but then I remembered my glitter pen does this really neat painterly style effect when I use it with this other pen so I decided to go with that instead. So I started watching Haunting of Hill House recently and when I saw the design for Mr Smiley I just knew I wanted to draw him, because clearly I hate myself. I spent hours today trying to come up with something to draw for #inktober to no avail. Then I managed to draw a really nice sketch but I don’t think it’d look good inked, it’s so pretty as a sketch that I decided to leave it. Sorry I’m late to upload this! I drew it yesterday but for some reason Instagram just would not let me post. It kept lagging if not completely freezing and it became impossible to create the post. I tried for well over two hours. :T Having said that, here it is now! I’ve given up on character variation, haha.
