Inspiration: Owen Davey - Influencer
Who in the hell are Owen Davey and that god damn festival you keep talking about?
Barcelona OFFF is an awesome design festival celebrating work by leading illustrators, photographers, bloggers and You Tubers. As part of my degree course, I had to attend the 2014 conference to develop my professional career and practice. This was where I was exposed to one crucial influencer for my career so far.
Owen Davey is a Brighton born illustrator who specializes in editorial work. His work ranging from the Realise medical cover to his well-drawn maps. Based on the website information, he has published a range of great illustrations for his music group,
What thing did your little brain of yours learn about your so-called influencer?
In terms of work ethics, I learned a great deal about how to pitch sketches to agencies or to the direct client. Many of sketches sent to his agent reveal the importance of showing a simple but strong concept,which is integral to making an effective pitch. Based on his sketchbook work, detail is great but simple stuff is easier for the client to understand and review.

Influenced me to carefully create a book that is useful to people
Incorporated his color schemes and textures into my style
Developed my own spin on these visuals components by using more stipple brush textures
