I feel like when people are like "oh I/Americans are so bad at geography because of the education system" they tend to act like every other country has like a month where they make everyone label the map and capitals of the world, and the US just needs to do that and the problem will be fixed but like, from every non-American I've talked to, no one does that in school. in fact the idea that americans learning geography would be solved by a sporcle quiz is telling of the problem, a lot of Americans I grew up with saw most other countries and their capitals as little more than trivia questions and not places where people live which might be more of an issue with general american attitude towards other countries than the education system itself actually learning about the history, people, and culture of countries does far more to make knowledge of geography stick than cramming to learn to label a map.
"kill them with kindness" FALSE! task manager🧮
tom nook is NOT a landlord!!! he is a construction worker! he SELLS you a WHOLE HOUSE! He is not CHARGING YOU however many bells a month to live there! You PURCHASE a HOME that he BUILDS FOR YOU and then you PAY HIM FOR HIS SERVICE. He charges no interest he sets no time limit it is a relationship built on trust. the only penalty you get for not paying off your home is that he won't build more home until you pay him for the first one. A guy that builds you a house wherever you want him to and then charges you for the cost of construction is not a landlord you own the fucking home
He is, however, in the mafia
