What is Deltarune Dragon Tamer

Deltarune: Dragon Tamer is a Deltarune AU writ before the release of Deltarune Chapter 5 The concept follows the Idea of Susie forming a Dark Fountain by her lonesome in her home Based on the non descript room we see in chapter 3. Susie comes home and finds her father passed out at home, seemingly not to worried when or if she'll come back. Not even being wanted there, she decides she wants to change that, Grabbing a dulled kitchen Knife She thrusts the blade into the earth. The Dark Worlds helped her grow and become better, Why can't they help her father?

But with a dulled edge and Dark World Not part of the prophecy how will the darkness cling and take form? What sorts of FRIENDS will Susie meet in the Wastes she formed?

What happened to her?

* You've got a good mother.

* ... it'd be a shame to make her bury her child. But it'd be even more of a shame to have a kid watch her own mother be buried.

Meet Selien, Hypothetical mother to Susie and general irresponsible parent. As fun as half human Susie is I didn't feel like taking that route for this AU, to complicated and muddied the story.

ANYWAY Selien was rambunctious and hot headed willing to start shit with anyone and everyone. Her and Brutus's first meeting was actually in a Wcdonalds where they got in a fight due to his tail bumping her. Selien as one would hope of a mother had a big old heart for her family, they never had much but they made what they did have work, roughhousing and playing with little baby Susie whenever they could.

Sadly though, Like in all stories, dragon must be banished. Freak Monster Truck Rally Accident? Slow Sickness? Human Robbers? An Overdose of something she shouldn't have taken? Lung failure? Flew away never to be seen? In the end it doesn't matter, she's gone a mother and wife taken far to soon, leaving two heart broken dragons to cope. With only one Adult in the household Brutus had to move frequently failing to keep jobs in his emotionally shaken state, quick to lash out. He's lucky he was able to find a cheap apartment in home town. Anyway that's enough gloom and angst, look at the silly dragon laugh!

What is a Photograph

Laying deep below the Dragon plateau lies an old photograph. In the dark the photo takes form of the person it was a picture of. However unlike the Old Man in Deltarune Chapter 4, this Photo has no dust to cling to. No memory. No personhood. It wears a face of someone it never knew. This Darkner acts as the Extra Boss of the chapter. If you knock that face right off her she drops the Silver ring, a ring type weapon for Noelle that greatly boosts attack at the cost of magic. +14 ATK - 5 MAG If Susie shows compassion and care the Monochrome Copy she'd receive the Worn Ribbon. A red ribbon that greatly increases defense and magic at the cost of attack. Susie is willing to equip this Ribbon with the flavor text "...Miss you" -1 ATK +5 MAG +5 DEF

Snap Trap

One of the most ferocious Darkners roaming the Waste World is the Trapp Mauser

A gargantuan beast of of Plywood and metal, It produces cheese to act as a trap to lure in prey before...

SNAP

It bares its fangs and brings its collar up to snap the fingers of anyone who reached for its cheese. This beast is known for causing cheese based trust issues in those who are unfortunate enough to fall for its trap. Trapp Mauser serves as a Midboss of sorts like Clover, blocking the parties path at the base of Dragon Plateau.

it's so powerful in the dark world because Susie remembers getting her finger bit by a mousetrap before also as per deltarune law its hurt sprite is silly

The Wasteworld

Unlike past dark worlds the Waste World Susie's hand formed is quite baren, an empty room doesn't give a dark fountain much to shape around. All that remains in this vast barren is the table now taking the form of the dragons plateau with has the Great river pouring from it. all through out the Waste World are hands, taking and taking, and eyes staring down, staring, judging. aside from judging eyes, and thieving some darkners have made a small ramshackle encampment next to the grand river from odds and ends that have found their way into the possession of the dragons.

More Darkners

To be honest I don't think I could write a daily post about ever Darkner so, here's a buncha of Darkners from the wasteland

Forshaken A soda can that was shaken up and exploded. It scours the greta river for victims to shake up like it was shaken. (Based on the freaky hand slug things)

Chrono An old man who thinks he knows what's best for everyone around him, all ways telling people where to be and when. He rings out a piercing bell chime before attacking delinquents and those running late with his clock hand

Robbick A cute small bundle of dust taking the appearance of a crow, don't let its cute appearance fool you however, this Darkner loves stealing items so blow them away before you even think about checking your item menu

Toasted Guardians

The Toastsquire is another of the many Darkners roaming the Waste World, they seek vengeance against the Dragon Thief who had stolen their black crumbs

Fearsome Darkner

As or Party ventures into the Wasteworld the first Darkner they meet that'll say anything to them is this fearsome beast, The Suzilla

This little Darkner is Suzilla, a small timid Darkner that wears a scary costume to try and match the fearsome Dragon King. It speant all its life trying to be as scary as the waste world around it isolating it from all the other Darkners in the land. In the Light World its Susie's Monster Movie Poster. In battle it attacks with Bullets of the word Roar homing right in. Or attacking the battle box with large fangs similar to Lemon Bread

Under its monster mask it looks strangely familiar.

Dragon King

Susie's other "Ally" Through the Dark World is her father, the one she's trying to use the dark world to better. In the Waste World Brutus dubs himself the Dragon King after mocking Susie's title of "Axe of Justice". "Sweetheart PLEASE, We both know this world doesn't have Justice. To survive we got to be bigger and badder than anyone else. Like a Dragon."

Through out the waste world darkeners encounter by the Party all cower in fear as the mere sight of the Dragon King. Many recalling the destructive outbursts and aggression he took out on them in the Light World.

Much like how Susie appeared in Deltarunes first chapter, The Dragon King is on a bit of a power trip. Hacking and slashing at anything, that dares show an ounce of opposition to him. Unlike in chapter 2 however, Warning enemies seems futile, Friend wont help save Darkners unnecessary to the prophecy and you need two people to warn so sparing enemies is a race against their HP.

And unlike in chapter 1 if Susie lets two much TP build The dragon King has a Fearsome CRUEL BUSTER waiting in store if that TP ever reaches above 60

Last time back in the Card Kingdom It was So EASY to get Susie to change her ways after warming up to a Darkner who showed her that she could be a role model, a friend. What Darkners are there to help Brutus around here when they all give him respect and fear?

A Friend in the dark

With Kris gone aiding whatever promise they made with the caller on the phone, and Ralsei busy making rooms in preparation for the Dark Sanctuary Darkners, Susie's familiar party won't be with her as She travels through the Waste World. The first of her party here is a close F R I E N D

Soon after the world takes form, Brutus (See prev post) is nowhere to be found, as Susie searches for him in the dark she is Quickly approached by a beast acting far to friendly seeking to stick by Susie's side Naturally, Susie is untrusting and dismissive of the beast, but with it presenting it's taken hold of something VERY valuable that Kris left lying around at home. Susie has little choice but to listen

The F R I E N D seeks the closure of the DARK FOUNTAIN as this was was never part of the Prophecy. While Susie would gladly defy the Prophecy she would quickly see that in a world forged by dull blade, little joy can be found. F R I E N D acts as an ally in battles with an attack and magic stat so unnaturally high that it makes Susie look like chapter 1 Ralsei by comparison, but that extra power is more then necessary to put a dent into some of he strange darkners roaming around. As our uneasy alliance treks up the great river towards the fountain.

Speaking of that father

This big blue mean son of a gun is Brutus, a large armed and large bodied lizard, a hypothetical father for Susie he's even rougher around the edges than she is.

As you can probably tell just from looking at him he's not exactly the most agreeable sort, living in so many human societies he often faced ridicule for his monstrous appearance, frequently he's had to find new jobs due to 'Disagreements' with management, causing him and Susie to move around a lot. He's quick to lash out but he still has a heart somewhere below all that belly fat, i mean, he's been trying to keep a roof over Susie's head, and keeping her in school. Long ago he was a lot better, back when he had his wifey to help raise the worlds most sassy dragon. Makes sense why Susie would want to take him into the Dark World, bring back the adventitious jokey father she once knew

Long long ago In a far off human city, Two dragon monsters met and fell in love, soon a happy family of three fearsome dragons called that City home. What do you think happened to that happy family?
