[Archive RP] The Contaminated Mew
Somewhere deep in the "Kalosian" woods, a blue-colored Mew was hiding deep within the cave. It's dark and damp. The Pokemon who inhabitants in the forest wanted to help the poor creature, but the Mew "growls" at the Pokemon and scare them away! It's face had a distorted and "sharp" face.. Almost like a angry cat from Wonderland! It's fur is ruffled from a lack of bath and a lack of external care. It smells bad, says one of the Skutanks. All of the Pokemon stayed away from the cave that the Mew resides in. If lucky, some of the Pachirisu would give the caved creature some berries so it wouldn't die from starvation. It's since been over a week since the mysterious Pokemon had caught a virus (thanks to his careless actions). There are no cure so far... At least not yet.
Back at the Team Neo Plasma Base, three of Toa's Pokemon: Chesnaught, Kirlia, and Meowstic had traveled by foot (or by Chesnaught's shell-slide power) to reach to Dark, the other Sages, and Colress himself.
"MEOWW!!! MYARRRAAA!!!" the feline cries. He wails his arms, tugging onto Dark's pants when they finally met him, and not to far was Colress (if he is present). It's basically saying "Help us!!". Kirlia then notices a computer... With a satellite detector. Maybe by imputing code that could find a Mew, Dark or any TNP member (including Colress) can find the deformed Mew, Toa...
Aiu: "Sir, I've picked a notification on Sage Toa's where abouts."
Colress: "The Sage tracking program finally working hm?"
Lifting his tablet in hand, he began to track the signal. Strangely enough it seemed to be coming from within the Frigate, something of an oddity to the innovator.
Colress: "Aiu, bring up the security system, and run a check for undocumented individuals."
Aiu: "Affirmative sir."
After running a check on the systems, it was obvious to see where the signal was coming from. A computer terminate with three unidentified Pokemon, a rather large Chesnaught, a Mewostic, and a Kirlia. Colress was surprised at the sight of these Pokemon because he knew exactly who they belonged to. Sage Toa. Tightening his grip on his tablet, he ran down to the area where these Pokemon where, on his way out of the bridge, he shouted for Aiu to keep adding in data models for project_genesis, Aiu responded with an "Affirmative" and picked up where Colress left off.
Seeing the Chestnaught made it obvious where they were, approaching them quickly, he lowered himself to Mewostic's level, asking where Sage Toa was and what has happened to him. Even though Sage Toa and Colress has had a bad history, because he was the younger brother to Sage Nia, he showed care and compassion to him anyway.
Colress: "Where is Sage Toa? Do you know?"
With Sage Dark having gone missing the Lucario that stayed behind had been in search for not only his trainer, but for the other boy that the Sage had been looking for. Using theory Lucario figured that perhaps if he found Toa he would be able to understand what happened to his trainer. Never in the time that he had been separated with the Sage had he come across what just happened. Lucario and Dark were linked through their Aura, and such strength meant that they were bound to each no matter the distance but a couple of days ago the trainer's signature just vanished. It alarmed the bipedal Pokemon so he had taking out to search.
In his days in the Moo Moo Farm Lucario had been searching through nature itself in search of Toa, giving Dark any clues before he had gone missing. Luckily for the bi-pedal Pokemon minutes before moving out to search three familiar Pokemon which Lucario recognized to be ones under the care of Toa approached him, mewing in its Pokemon tongue that Lucario clearly understood.
"If your asking for assistance then it's safe to assume our trainer is in danger," Lucario telephatically said by linking his aura with the Pokemon. Coincidentally enough that was when Colress himself came to approach, which brought Lucario's gaze to turn to the scientist. Connecting his Aura with the professor as well Lucario spoke, "..It seems that my trainer has gone missing as well. Allow me to help you with your search for Toa."
On the front gates of the Frigate... The ship-island opens it's slider doors, walking out the man in the lab coat. The Pokemon, mainly Kirlia was questioned by it. It was his first time meeting the scientist. Chesnaught puts down the two little Pokemon to the surface and have the Psychic feline walk over to the human male. Since Meowstic was a psychic type, there was a possibility that he can send "thoughts" to Colress's mind to communicate (since meowing won't help a thing)!
Meowstic reaches his paws, touching Colress's forehead so he can send the waves to his brain. For him, he can hear a little boy's voice.
"Forest... Satalune Forest..." said the frail voice. It was from the Meowstic.
Toa should not be too far from Satalune City on the Kalos Region. The Chesnaught then walks over, grunting in his own name, talking to the Lucario that was now behind Colress.
"Please. Help us. What the little guy send telepathically to weird-hair guy should give you the answers." said the big-shell Pokemon with fur. The Kirlia remains behind, still shy from both Colress and Lucario.
Lucario's gaze shifted in deep thought. "...I've been trying to track that boy's aura down for days now but I still cannot find it. Something may be blocking it - I understand that he has powers that can interfere with my readings." He spoke mainly to himself before looking over to Chesnaught and the rest.
"Take me to his location and I will bring him here. Sir Dark is unable to attend but once I recover the the boy I will bring him to his home." He turned over to Colress, "My apologies. As much as I believe you are attuned with your science experiments I personally want to watch this boy's act first-hand. If he is truly infected bringing him upon your home would only endanger everyone else. Like this we can keep the things contained while I observe it. Chesnaught, Kirlia, Meowstic - will you take me to your trainer's location?"
The big Chesnaught nods to the agreement. "Yes. I will guide you to him... That is if we can find him." said the male Spiky Chessnut Pokemon.
The trio Pokemon begin to leave Corless's sight, as if they see him as a person hard to trust after what happened... Or at least they prefer to have Pokemon allies on their side compare to humans. Toa is fine with them since they know he's a Pokemon in blood as well. The Kirlia spots a small rocket ship that can be used to teleport faster. Since Toa is back at the Kalos Region, it would be slightly easy to find since the land is not as clustered as Unova or any other regions.
Back at the Satalune Forest, Toa's conditions are getting worse and various trainers and Pokemon alike are moving fast and staying away from the bothersome cave... Dare to enter and it could mean death!
Taking guidance from Toa's Pokemon the bipedal Pokemon left the scientist's side and the safety of their home to Santalune Forest via rocket ship. During that time Lucario's gaze was distant, his eyes now seemingly tired. I don't have much time.. He thought to himself before looking towards the trio of Pokemon. For them to seek out any human for assistance they must be desperate. More so since Lucario knew that the infected boy was still hated among most TNP grunts due to his previous attack on the frigate with Hoopa. Sage or not...he caused harm to important and fellow figured. The fact that he was now a Sage made him untrusthworthy, but Lucario held no qualms of distrust. Not if it was what his trainer woudl have sought.
Santalune Forest was horribly dark when they arrived. There was a sense of doom and gloom and the Pokemon that they would pass all seemed to shy away from their presence, excited cries or wings distrubing the air as Lucario would continue to be led into the forest. They were warning them of a danger. Even Lucario could feel tendrils of malevolence leak out of the trees like ghost - waiting to grasp at anything nearby. Some trainers were even running, desperate to get out and not even turning their head to work the four Pokemon venturing to turn back.
"It looks like your trainer is in quite some danger. What has brought this infectio upon?" Lucario asked the three, hoping that at least one would have the answer.
Thanks to their high speed ship, the Pokemon (who as intelligent than humans) land themselves to the entryway to the forest. Everything got dark. The virus either have spread or that the Pokemon is not making their home it's natural state thanks to Toa. With Meowstic's bond to his trainer, he can sense where Toa is at, but it was a toxic hazard at this point.
"Toa's here... But the disease...." said the small cat, speaking in telepathic waves. "Disese is stronger..."
The Kirlia can feel it as well, and he was not happy about it. "How are we going to take Toa on without getting us sick...?" the emotion-Pokemon asks.
Lucario was calm, his gaze transfixed to the surroundings and listened to nature's natural hum. Closing his eyes he could feel the energy of life revebrate from underneath his paws, feel it tingle upwards towards his spine. It pulsed within him, fed him the energy he needed to prolong his state. None of the Pokemon would know but he did not have much time...he would have to hurry this up if he was too save the young idol.
"You need not worry about that," He spoke to the Pokemon and lowered himself to the ground. The earth..it moans from the corruption that is feeling this forest. Is Toa's infection so strong that it causes the forest to cry?
"Just take me to where he is. I will handle the rest. The three of you just need to remain far enough to keep from putting yourselfs in danger. Once he is capable of being handled you will take him to Sir Dark's farm. The other Pokemon will be waiting to accept him."
The three Pokemon look at each other. The virus has no ability to spread the disease to plants or the environment, but Toa behavior would cause a disruption on the Pokemons home. Since the two had to hold on to Toa's valuables, the one with most psychic experience will have to guide Lucario to Toa's hiding spot.
"Sure. I will guide them while the two Pokemon friends will guard the enterance. I hope Officer Jenny doesn't come here, or it would be danger." said the Meowstic in mind speech. Meowstic went ahead of Lucario and begin to use his ears to guide the bipedal jackal to Toa's resting place.
The Frigate was now docked at the Plasmatic Network. Colress was within the labs of the ship with Dr. Fennel still fiddling with the virus, in hopes of forming a vaccine, or a temporary fix for what has been spreading throughout the Pokemon world. After speaking to Toa's and Dark's Pokemon is put him at ease that they were attempting to do something to save the life of one of his Sages. He knew that them doing this was risky, but, it was better than not doing anything at all. Still, he wanted to at least see what was going on...to get a glimpse of Sage Toa's condition.
Pulling out his tablet, he activated on of the Neo Plasma Drones from the Frigate deck, this done was a small robotic creature, created for the sole purpose of investigation and diagnostic of certain situations. It would only take moments to reach the Forest where Toa was at.
Lucario followed close behind the Meowstic. His Aura Reading abilities alone would have been enough to track down Toa from here on out. Back at the frigate his ability to sense the young Sage was out of his control because of the many infected that had polluted the world. It had been far too difficult, but not impossible. It would have taken him longer and by that time things could have been too late. At least now...they will get to the genetically altered boy much quicker.
While they walked Lucario was able to hear the hum of one of Sir Colress's drones. Being made of mechanics Lucario could not sense it as stronger. The gears and electricity were weak. One would sneak up on him and he probably wouldn't even notice but his keen sense of hearing was still up there.
"It seems like Colress has come to join us. We should hurry this up, Meowstic. The longer we take the more danger your trainer is in."
"Right..." said the little Meowstic. Kirlia was also nervous traveling from behind, but he had an equal good amount of Psychic and is made as a better defender/blocker than Meowstic. The two Pokemon had intended to re-learn new moves using the TMs Toa collects.
"Here's a funny thing that I think can rescue Toa easier... You know his sister, right? Master Toa told me a story that his foster mother Moimoi implemented a anti-virus for Nia-chan wouldn't get sick.. It may be a myth, but if she is Mewtwo in our lens, then she can maybe save and comfort the poor Master Toa."
They are close to where Toa's dwellings is at. They can hear the faint cries of a suffering Mew.. Or so they think. Toa can easily act out like he was vulnerable when the next time can bite anyone with his (sharp) jaws!
Lucario only knew of Nia by name and nothing more so his response was nothing but silence once they asked him of the former Sage. Before he understood that his trainer, Dark, was infatuated with the girl. He always wanted to protect her and he was sure that he stil does. And Lucario knew the reason why. No one else knew but his trainer was a heart throb for singers. They soothed him...that and despise her removing herself as a Sage she was still one of the first people he had met.
He would do what he could to protect her. And so would Lucario; that included this suffering boy.
"So are you saying that we should locate and bring Ms. Nia after we capture Mr. Toa?" Lucario asked after hearing the mewlings of the boy. Even without reading the Aura in the atmopshere Lucario could sense the boy's pain and hostility. So rather than letting the three Pokemon behid him advance he extended a hand to signal them to stay back.
"Let me handle this. Mr. Toa cannot infect me as he can with you so it would be fool hardy to let the three of you go. Keep at a distance, and if it seems that I cannot take care of the boy alone do what you must to neutralize him from a distance; but do not get close!" He added sternly before his paws beat the ground in a sprint.
He had little time. If he was going to act he would have to do it now. Following the Aura, the sounds, Lucario was quick to approach the boy only, and stopped from a safe distance, believing that the boy was struggling with. "Mr. Toa. I'm Lucario, a Pokemon of your Sir Dark. Allow me to help.." He said,approaching, "Everyone is--"
Had he gotten too close?! Before he knew it the boy had lunged at him, deadly jaws threatening to tear him apart. Both Lucario and Toa were similar in size but being a steel-type he had power in his arms as he tried to fight the male idol back, pushing its paws to his neck and cheek to keep from biting him.
"Yes... Sounds like a fairy tale, but if miracles can happen, then we need Master Nia back to the Frigate." said the Meowstic. As they got closer, his ears herd something sensitive that only psychic Pokemon like himself would hear. It was distorted and glitchy. It was like a digital horror soundtrack with nothing but glitches and computer sounds.
"Nyara... H-He's here..." said the Meowstic.
Following Lucario's instructions, the two psychic Pokemon hid behind the bushes so they wouldn't get caught and get contaminated by the disease. "Y-Yes.. Be careful. S-Since he is a Pokemon KOing should not be a problem..." said the Meowstic, giving the Lucario a hint to stop the beast. When the aura jakal got close to the cave, he can see the glowing red eyes and the snarling sharp jaws of a strange colored Mew! Since Mew had a shape like a feline, the appearance looks more than just a cute Pokemon! It was a beast that was close to attacking and wanting to bite off whoever gets close to him! Toa in his beast form is standing in fours, growling at the Lucario.
This has become an official Pokemon battle, and a risky one at that!
"I must end this as quickly as I can. My body cannot remain whole for much longer.." These were Lucario's thoughts. Little everyone would know was that after this was over he would leave Toa's care upon his own Pokemon. No one else among TNP, even his own trainer, knew that Lucario was active here. Because..the truth was..it would be impossible. Lucario had died some time ago!
Aura burned strongly within Lucario's crimson optics once Toa's body began to appear, the darkness being driven away as the lighting of the forest shone upon the male idol's body. Purely feral and hostile Lucario knew that there was no other way but to attack with the intent of hurting the Sage. After all the last thing Lucario would want is for the boy to wake up and attack his Pokemon.
"Forgive me, Mister Toa!" Lucario pleaded as he took into a quick offensive stance. Both of its paws bent at the sides. Its fur began to ruffle, the appendages at the back of its head rising as power surged invisible around him. A barrier of transculent light smothered the bipedal Pokemon and with a burst..Lucario stood in its Mega Form!
Was that possible? Mega Forms were only achieved when trainers were around. Unless they were powerful (usually psychic-types like Mewtwo) Pokemon. Yet Sage Ryo's Lucario achieved its Mega Form without a stone, or a trainer. This alone would note that something was off. But Lucario had no time to explain.
He decided to keep a distant. Both paws pressed together to accumulate a dark matter of energy around his arms, twisting and swirling endlessly with a charge until it exploded like a cannon towards Toa's direction. Dark Pulse - a technique that had a variety of ways to be unleashed. In this case the aural Pokemon launched it into cannon-style, easily twice the size of Toa's lithe body due to his Mega Form evolution.
The battle officially begun, and much to the two Psychic Pokemons' shock, the Lucario Mega Evolved without a need of a Mega Stone and Key Stone! They were shocked by his ability, but their task is to hide since the battle would be a brutal one! The good thing about Toa's moveset is that he only knows Metronome for the most part and the move itself is randomized by whatever moves it will pick! It uses it's first move, but Sleep Talk was the first thing it had to spit out, and the attempt to attack failed! A Dark Pulse casts its dark fireball move and since it's Dark alinment, Psychic Pokemon like Mew should be able to knock it out!
"H-He's gonna win!" said Meowstic. It's a hint for him that Toa is not much a battler, therefore his defenses is very low and that he can not dodge in time due to the furious disease he has!
"MMEEWWWW!!!" The child-like sound of the blue Pokemon pings back and lands to the dirt floor! It was not much of a battle per say, but the quicker the better for the Pokemon!
Lucario's mind had drifted away before its attack had launched. Almost instantly, after all the battles it had gone through, he knew how quickly this one would end. He wanted to take the time he had left to talk to his previous trainer but it seemed that he had no other option but this one. Lucario will always be within Sage Ryosuke, as will Charizard, but he would never know. Perhaps, one day, should the Sage continue his meditation, they could speak again through spirits.
With his attack landing on the male idol Lucario was quick to move in quickly with Extreme Speed the moment the boy hit the ground. Although the attack would be super effective the bipedal aural Pokemon wanted to be sure that the boy would stay unconscious. So one swift chop of its hand and he struck at the back of Toa's neck, the blow itself causing the boy to grow limp and immobile. After that Lucario would then turn towards Toa's Pokemon.
"It's safe now." The Pokemon implied, disabling its Mega Form with but will alone. What would come next would dictate to the Pokemon what Lucario meant when he said he was 'limited in time'.
Seconds after he blew his form away bits of his body began to whisk away in blue lights. His body...was burning away in tiny lights of blue. The Aura that he had used to sustain a physical form was now wasting away like embers to a dying fire. This would be the last time that anyone would see of the Pokemon.
"Take..care of your trainer." He requested as the lower half of his body had disappeared into a trail of lights, running to the upper half of his body now. Half of his arms were already missing.
Confused for the Meowstic, but the Kirlia was quick in his feet and uses Psychic to pick up the now-KOed Toa. The disease can only be passed on if Toa bites anyone. The fur remains normal and safe to touch. The Kirlia ran back to the Meowstic.
“M-Meowstic! We have to go!” said Kirlia.
“L-Lucario! What’s wrong with your body?! Don’t leave us!” said the worrying Meowstic!
From behind, the giant Chesnut Pokemon ran to his friends in hopes they are alright. Like Meowstic, he was shocked to see the Lucario now fading away! “H-Hey! What’s going on?!” said Chesnaught!
