My first ever game is complete!!!!

Lovely Sweet Dream, an entry to the Yume Nikki Dream Diary Jam 5! I’m so glad it’s over but I’m also so proud of the final result! I really wanna add more at a later date but for now I’m gonna enjoy not working on it XD

Saturn world concept

A white desert kind of world (though with more colour)

Poniko (and everything) is in the simple style

World partner is Monoe

Travel with Monoe to try and find Monoko in the dream

A pretty looking world, very perfect

Worlds main transport is trains

Npcs all resemble Monoe in a scary way

Everything is like a pretty little town

A factory is always seen in the distance

A perfect world made by Monoko. She doesn't want to leave but it has a terrible effect on the real world

Snows often

Events: dress-up in clothes shop, visiting cafe, entering the factory

Moon world concept

A pristine and pretty world

Can be visited anytime but is most important at the end

Poniko’s world outfit would be an intricate robe like a princess

An enormous sea with a castle at the centre (take a boat perhaps)

Wooden walkways and gates

Gardeners roam the water. They protect those precious to Poniko

Maiko and Geisha roam the walkways. Bow to Poniko

Moon residents are girls with crescent horns and rabbits

A pastel colour scheme

Flowers and petals in the water along with tall lanterns

The Queen resides in the castle. She is a mirage of Poniko’s mother. Elusive since she’s left Poniko’s life

Everything is an exaggeration of Poniko’s view of her mother. The world is perfect

Mars world concepts

A rocky and barren world (will be similar to Mars from YN)

Poniko’s world outfit is a white caped outfit. Simple and like a teruteru-bozu doll

A pristine white settlement in the wasteland surrounded with fortifications. Holds the martian species

A confusing place where everything looks very similar

Everything seems in order and well but that may not be the case

World might be based on a hospital. One in the real world Poniko visited to see Monoko and Shitai-san

Shitai-san may appear or be a cameo

Martians are browns and greys. Skinny creatures with multiple arms. Look a bit like ants. Most taller than Poniko

Some wear white clothes like Poniko’s world outfit

Settlement seems to be run by a green creature called the librarian (it might want to eat the residents)

Perhaps a weapon can be found in the wasteland outside

White architecture will be like Masada-sensei’s spaceship

Is it a bit boring?

Jupiter world concepts

A yokai/Japanese festival themed world

Poniko is joined by Kamakurako

A gentle world, not too much story

Poniko’s world outfit is a blue kimono and oni mask

Kamakurako’s world outfit is a red casual kimono and white kitsune mask (you only see her in this outfit in this world)

Npcs are yokai/japanese mythical creatures

The world is based off Poniko’s fascination with Japanese culture and mythology since she’s a foreigner

The city is bright like a city at night

Places of interest are festival stalls, hotels, restaurants, performance houses and a hot springs at the top of a mountain by the city

Effects or costumes can be masks or outfits for Poniko

Events: goldfish scoop, eating at a restaurant, taking a dip at the hot springs, watching a live performance

Thinking about having a discord group for yume heya progress, would anyone be interested?

Dug up some old yn drawings to upload as stickers to sell on redbubble and it got me kinda nostalgic.. Then like a fool I fell into watching fdjkkdjf playing yume 2kki again which is the most relaxing playthrough ever...

And so that ended me up at looking at the difficult yume heya... here are some things that were never shared. The idea of continuing the game is still up in the air for me... ive changed a lot since i last dropped it so i think id be better organising it now but... i dunno...

I'll be working on yume heya again on rpg maker mv once i get home from holiday. I had a lil look before i left but i wasn't sure how to tackle organising the tileset sheets, cause all of mine are still in rpg maker 2003 . If anyone can help or lead me to a guide to how to lay out mv tilesets, please contact! ^^

Concepts for the planets of Mars and Ceres (sorry they're so hard to see, I'm using my phone camera...)

Notes:

Mars:

Mountainous, architecture is smooth like it's from Ceres (like Masada-sensei's ship), white and silver.

Martians, a slow and docile race. They're like pensioners.

The inside is like an old people's home. The outside will be like the og wilderness

Ceres:

Ceresians: white skin, black hair, black suits. They're farmers

A mix of traditional Japanese with sci-fi. Stilt houses, white and smooth, no doors just doorways. Windows are teal (could be multi coloured)

Time for quite an important update!

I got rpgmaker mv! (it just went on sale so i was like GO, GET IT NOW!) Which means I’ll have to compile all of Yume Heya again BUT mv works on mac so it’s FAR easier for me (and less stressful) now! So that’s really exciting!

But I’m also going on holiday for two weeks so don’t expect any big updates at all for a little while! I’m really excited to work on Yume Heya again properly though! ^^

Virtual machine hunt is looking depressingly dire. It seems my options are either to get mv or buy a laptop which both cost MONEYYYY which I do not want to do thank you.

If anyone knows a good virtual machine that a) works on mac (os catalina, 10.15.6) and b) can run rpgmaker 2003, please please, god, tell me...

I’ve completely given up on the virtual machine I was trying to use because whatever I try to do it always runs like shit

AND even more shitty, tried to look up the fabled Wine virtual machine and it won't run on my Mac because its too late of a version :)))))))) im basically fucked right now
