Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor in Supergirl season 2
Little One
Asena noticed the change in demeanor right away, Ellie started panting a little more so she squeezed her hand and brushed the hair off her face. “It’s going to be okay, I’m here” she said softly, suddenly pulling herself together. “No, no.Let’s just go. I’ll deal with the guards if I need to…” she pulled at her hand leading her towards the door and grabbing her bag on the way out. “Don’t worry about the name just yet? Maybe you’ll think of a name when you see her for the first time?” she suggested as they walked out of the room and down the hallway.
Ellie was frightened a little. Here she was, in labor and a slave. She had no true way to provide for her child except by hoping her owner will be kind to help her raise her daughter. She had no family except for Asena, who couldn’t have children of her own. Her daughter would never know her own father. All Ellie could do is breathe and pray it will all turn out right in the end. “Okay,” she said softly, nodding her head as she took a deep breath. She held onto Asena’s hand, squeezing it a bit as the walked down the halls of the castle. “I hope so. All I know is that she’s going to be an O’Hara. She’s not getting his last name. Not when he doesn’t want her.”
Little One
Asena watched Ellie carefully, she was huge. It was as if she was seeing her like this for the first time, like all the months of pregnancy had suddenly crept up on her. She was panicking, didn’t know quite what to do or what to say. When Ellie buckled in the pain of her contraction, Asena felt her stomach churn in worry and grabbed hold of her friend’s shoulders to steady her. Ellie was the strong one now, telling her to breath. “It’s over?” she asked, releasing the grip on Ellie’s shoulders. “Right call the OB” she screwed her eyes shut for a second, thinking fast. “Let’s get in a taxi. and call him on the way there, right?” At least then, they’d waste less time, and be on their way to the hospital. “Of course we can get out…you’re having a damn baby! What are they going to do? Make you stay here in this emergency? Come on” she took hold of Ellie’s hand in an attempt to get her out of her room. In her mind, she was hoping the new King hadn’t put some kind of curfew in place preventing people from leaving the castle.
“Yes,” she sighed, looking up at Asena. She could already feel herself sweating a little, panting a little more. Her hair probably looked like a mess from her tossing and turning and Ellie was pretty sure she resembled some sort of whale at this current moment. Using the arm of the couch, Ellie pushed off on it when she took Asena’s hand, grateful for the help with getting up. “That should be fine. Do we need to call anyone else,” she asked, waddling besides Asena. “I haven’t been here in months and now there’s a new ruler. I don’t even know what my role is anymore, not that I’ll be able to do much.” Ellie just hoped this new king wouldn’t mind a baby in the castle. She hoped he would be a little compassionate towards her. Was he to be her new owner now that the Queen was gone? “Asena... I don’t have a name for her yet.”
Little One
Asena quickly put the knife in the drawer of the small table next to the door as soon as she heard Ellie’s voice and opened the door just as quickly. “Ellie. Fuck” she spat out, her eyes raking over the girl. She ran her hands through her hair. “Fuck. Fuck. What are we going to do?” she asked. Ellie wasn’t in a position to make desicions and it was on her but she, for the first time was at a loss at what to do. “Dammit” she took the bag from Ellie’s hands and grabbed hold of her wrist. “Come in, come in” she ushered her inside and guided her over to the couch. “Sit” her mind was whirring with activity. “Okay” she said, thinking about what they should do. “Okay, so. Contractions right? We need to time them….have you had any yet?” but she had no idea of how far apart they were were to be coming before the birth was imminent. “Ellie, what shall we do? Call the castle physician? Get you to the hospital…yes, we should get you out of here. Get you to someone that knows what they are doing. Yeah, that’s it.” she nodded, hands raking through her hair once again.
It was really strange to see Asena in this sort of state. She always knew what to do, but it seemed that Ellie was now throwing her something new. Annis told Ellie that she would need to have a bag ready and that when her water broke, she had to be prepared to go somewhere to have the baby. The doctor in the hospital told her that as well before she had ran away. Ellie’s green eyes widened a bit when Asena ushered her inside, but she kept her tongue, knowing that she needed her friend to freak out now rather than later. “I had my first one about ten minutes ago. I don’t think-- ow!” Ellie growled a little, gripping the arm of the couch when her second contraction hit her and it felt even worse than the first one. “Love, shhh. Deep breath in, deep breath out,” she instructed Asena. So that was what the deep breathing was for! Not for Ellie, but for everyone else involved. When her contraction seemed to end, she let out a sigh, looking up at Asena. “We need to call my OB at the hospital to let him know she is coming so he can meet us there. I don’t have much of a plan other than that. I don’t even have her name picked out yet, and contractions hurt! We’ll be able to get out of here, right?”

Asena had gone to bed early that night and it seemed most nights recently. She’d been having terrible headaches that just didn’t go away. Since the Queen had been extracted from Hohenzollern, she’d been thinking a lot about what would happen. She had tried to contact Barana but he wasn’t responding to her, she hadn’t seen Viray for weeks and so, she had just gone into her shell, keeping away from everyone. She was confused, having strange flashbacks that she couldn’t make sense of and it was worrying her, she thought she was going mad. The things she was getting glimpses of in her …was it her memory, or parts of her memory returning? She wasn’t sure, so she just dulled her senses by drinking more. To stop…feeling.
She’d been fast asleep but for some reason, she’d just woken up. Getting up to get a glass of water, she sat in her warm room in front of the window watching the moon and heard a knock at the door. Who could that be at this hour? Taking her knife out from under her bed, she went to the door. “Who is it?” she called before opening it.
“Fuck,” she muttered under her breath when the first contraction hit her. The idea of doing deeps breaths seemed horrible when all she wanted to do was cry in pain, something she couldn’t do seeing that everyone in the castle was asleep. It took her a few moments to recover, wiping the tears that were on her cheek, breathing deeply through her nose. Taking a hesitant step, she let out a sigh feeling a little better now that the first contraction was over. She didn’t know how long she had until the next one, so Ellie began to walk a little faster so that she could get Asena sooner.
Knocking on the door, Ellie looked up and down the hallway, making sure no one else was wandering around at this time of night. With there being a new king, no one knew what was going to happen and she didn’t want to get into trouble. “Asena, it’s Ellie,” she whispered, leaning into the door a bit. “The baby is coming. My water broke,” she said, whimpering a little. Her baby she hadn’t even chosen a name for yet. Her little girl. Were they both going to be safe here? “I don’t mean to disturb you, but I don’t want to bother Annis.”

[Date: May 16th Time: 1:15 am]
Ellie couldn’t get herself comfortable. She spent most of her sleep tossing and turning, finding herself to be wide away. Huffing, she kicked her sheets off her her, moving to get out of her bed. Maybe a warm bath would help lull her to sleep and it wasn’t something she was restricted from doing. Grabbing her robe, she walked into her bathroom, feeling grateful that she had a proper place to clean herself again. She wasn’t happy she was back at the castle, but it was certainly better than living in the farmhouse outside of Paris. This way, when it was her baby’s time to come, she could get herself to a hospital without much worry.
Turning on the light for the bathroom, she set her robe down, making sure her bubble bath was somewhere she didn’t have to bend down for. As she was searching the shelves, Ellie felt something wet on her legs and she stopped moving, looking down. Did she wet herself? It wasn’t until she noticed the pool she was standing in that it wasn’t that at all. Breathing a little heavier, Ellie kept herself calm, trying to figure out what to do. She didn’t want to disturb Annis, not wanting him to worry, so she knew one person she had to wake. Asena. With that goal in mind, she left her bathroom, grabbing the little bag she packed at her door before making her way down towards the grooming chambers to find her friend.

“What exactly is that, Ellie?”
“The body’s way of preparing for labor. I might just be over-reacting a little.”
“Try not to worry. Everything is going to be alright. I am not going anywhere.”
“I’m trying not to, but I don’t think I’m having Braxton-Hicks contractions, sire.”
Ellie hadn’t want to come back to Hohenzollern. She wanted to stay as far away as she could and Paris happened to be really amazing. However, the stress due to not finding a place to raise her baby, or even to provide for her had gotten to Ellie, so when Asena and Annis had finally found her, they discovered that Ellie had been put on bedrest and she wasn’t exactly obeying that. Annis, being the man that he was, made Ellie come back, not that she would ever be able to say no to him. Of course, this now meant actually staying in bed and she was bored out of her mind with no one coming to visit her, not that anyone knew she was back. She happened to be moving to lean against her head board better when her door opened and she couldn’t help but smile at who was standing there. “Hey.”
