Update: Things Come and Gone
Yikes. It's been entirely too long since I've updated this thing. I suppose I was in a rut. Okay. I was absolutely mired in a bottomless pit of despair for a while. But I'm out. For now. And it's time to get cracking on some new shit.
First things first: the music page has been updated with a new, FREE, Buster Wolf EP called "This Is How You Lose Her (The Break Up EP). Yes, that is a direct reference to my man Junot Diaz. Yes, I will likely be sued. That is the risk that comes with being an unoriginal title thief. Questionable titles aside, the EP is a short collection of songs I made following a pretty rough break up with my partner and best friend of nearly five years. If I didn't release those songs in some form, I may have never climbed out of the aforementioned pit. It was a catharsis, plain and simple.

If I can speak candidly here (and no one reads this, so why not?), I don't think I had ever felt so abandoned and alone in my life. I wasn't sleeping or eating much. Hell, I lost 20 lbs. the only thing that kept me going was music. Working on new material and playing shows. I tried to maintain some semblance of a friendship with this person only to realize I was practically begging them to remain a part of my life. That's not normal. I finally decided our dance had come to an end. We shared five great years together, which I will always look back on happily, but if someone just doesn't want you in their life anymore. you have to accept it and move on with some dignity. People change. Everything is impermanent. It doesn't mean you failed. Or that you are a bad person or that you are an unlovable ogre.
Anyway, the EP is kind of my way of letting go. Getting it all out of my system so I can move forward free of tethers. Even though I will always care about this person, and I'll always be there should they need me, it's time to put some of that energy back into my own happiness. Which leads us to our second topic. TEMPLE OF YOG!
TEMPLE OF YOG has finally been released on the Nintendo eShop in the US, Europe and Australia. I'm really excited to have played a small role in the creation of this game, and hearing people's reactions to it has been awesome. Vice even gave us a pretty damn spot on review. I'm looking forward to hearing what people think about the next few content updates, especially the PvP. If you have a Wii U and like retro games, do yourself a solid and pick it up for six bucks.
Okay, one last update. My DJ and partner in crime Ryan (AKA: Chip Chunk) are in the very early planning stages of a new project. One that we think will be really well received. I don't want to give away too much, but I will say it is going to be a concept album based on some characters that we both love dearly. This project will pretty much be my primary focus for 2016, so I may not be playing as many shows or doing much of anything else really. I really want to give it the attention it deserves. And.... here's a little hint:
