I really like your art, it's so cute and it was kind of cool to scroll through your account and watch the way you improved. I also wonder if you could draw Dream and Nightmare or other characters as humans? Its always interesting to watch how people imagine they would look. And i saw post about brothers as magical girls(boys), i think you should look into Madoka Magica. Dream really has that suffering magical girl vibe
Take care of yourself 🌹
Hello! Thank you so much for your kind words☺️
It’s definitely an interesting idea, but I don’t have plans to draw them as humans. I really like the fact that they aren’t human, and more than anything, I don’t want the way I imagine them to become fixed into a different form. Once I sit down and design and draw it myself, that image tends to stick quite strongly for a while. That said, I do enjoy looking at other people’s designs—like you mentioned, it’s always fun to see everyone’s different interpretations and tastes.
Still, I do like the idea that Nightmare used to take care of Dream’s hair when they were younger. Even now that they’ve grown apart, I imagine Dream would still be a bit clumsy with handling his hair, while Nightmare would be quite skilled at it. Although, I feel like Dream would be the one who cares more about his outward appearance as a guardian, haha.
Oh, of course. I don’t watch a lot of magical girl series, but I have seen that one with a friend who really likes it. It’s a great work. I also think it’s interesting to associate Dream with it—since Madoka Magica explores the idea of loving someone who sacrifices themselves for the world so much that you want to stop that sacrifice. But Dream is in a position where he’s both willing to sacrifice himself for the world, and at the same time, someone who loves a person destroying it so much that he wants to stop and reclaim them. That’s why I find him such a complex and fascinating character.
When it comes to stories that weigh the world against an individual, it can seem like there’s an obvious “correct” answer at first glance. But as people, we can’t assign equal value to everyone. Emotions inevitably place more weight on someone. In truth, right and wrong don’t always play the most important role in a person’s choices. No matter what you choose, there’s always something you end up regretting, and it’s impossible to always make the “right” decision. That’s why it’s so interesting to see what a character believes is right, and where they place their values. Those choices reflect the life they’ve lived and the values they’ve built—and that’s why I enjoy watching them at those crossroads.
Thank you for the ask, and I hope you have a wonderful day!💕
Actually, the idea of humanizing them from this ask never really left the back of my mind after all... 🙄🙄💦
But the more I started thinking about the settings and designs little by little, the more fun it became, so I eventually ended up drawing them anyway... It’s very late, but I hope this somehow reaches you, haha.
I know humanization designs aren’t everyone’s thing, so I’ll put this under a read more cut just in case ☺️

Hii! I absolutely love your cat and skele-dog AUs, but if you had to choose, which is your favorite?
Hello! Ah, thank you so much for liking those IFs 😚
Hmm, I really don’t think there’s much of a difference between them for me. I had so much fun drawing and imagining both of them, and so many people enjoyed them together with me, so they both became really fond memories. That’s why it’s genuinely hard to choose just one.
With the Cat Dream IF or Cat Night IFs, I really love the fact that the twins care for each other so deeply. In canon, they’re in a situation where they can never truly coexist peacefully, so the idea of them openly caring for each other like that is something that can only really exist within an IF setting.
I also really enjoy thinking about ideas for the other characters too. Not just the twins, but imagining what kinds of cats—or even what kinds of people—the others would be is really fun to me. Since it’s closer to a modern setting, it can be a little difficult to decide where the boundaries of the setting are, but at the same time, that familiarity makes a lot of ideas come naturally.
The Cat IFs are overall fairly peaceful settings, so I also like that most of them are in relatively calm and comfortable situations there. The multiverse is such a chaotic place, so peaceful everyday life feels precious.
Of course, the Skeledoggy IF isn’t exactly all that harsh either! After all, if there are cats over there, there are dogs over here too.
The Skeledoggies are still living in the chaotic multiverse, being raised by Nightmare, who loves negativity. But Nightmare doesn’t really expect anything special from them—he simply prefers managing them. (And for the record, making them bite Dream is basically just a dog version of playtime and a walk combined. Ah, poor Dream 🫠)
Nightmare tends to choose the kind of response that best suits the individual in front of him. He ignores Killer’s antics, acknowledges Dust’s wariness, turns a blind eye to Horror’s kindness, and calms Cross’s confusion. Since he treats them as possessions to manage, he values efficiency and always responds in whatever way is necessary.
And, well, the Skeledoggies are dogs, and dogs constantly and shamelessly seek affection. Nightmare understands that affection is something dogs need in order to stay emotionally stable, so awkwardly enough, he lets them stay by his side and pets them from time to time.
In some ways, it goes a bit beyond simple “management” at times, but Nightmare is fundamentally a diligent person. Even back when he lived beneath the tree, he preferred staying there and focusing on his duty as a guardian rather than giving in to his curiosity about the outside world.
Because of that, whenever Nightmare has something he considers his possession, and that possession openly seeks and expresses affection toward him, the atmosphere of the IF tends to become softer than you might expect. In that sense, he gets along better with people who express themselves honestly rather than hiding what they feel.
Anyway, since both IFs revolve around animal themes, the core emotions behind them become the purity, honesty, and attachment animals naturally have. That’s why both settings feel soft in their own ways, while still having very different charms because of their different backgrounds.
So in the end... choosing just one is impossible for me! I actually ended up organizing my thoughts while writing this, but the more I sorted them out, the harder it became to pick. I’m deeply attached to both of them, and since I love animals so much, they’re all just too adorable to me 🥺
At this point, it’s starting to feel a little like asking me to choose between cats and dogs... and whenever I had to choose between two things as a child, I was always the greedy kid who wanted both anyway, haha.
Thank you for the ask, and I hope you have a wonderful day 💕

Now we need them to both be cats and have kittens and be happy forever💔
Hello! Oh, haha. If they were both cats, then of course the twins probably wouldn’t want to be apart from each other at all.
I’ve actually talked before about imagining the two of them as cats. There were other ideas involved too, but in the end, I always felt that if they had been born as cats, they would both be extremely attached to each other and almost never separate.
I think one of the interesting things is that Dream tends to get dragged into strange situations and help others whenever he gets the chance, but he’s not really the type to directly bring people into his territory. Dream clearly enjoys interacting with other animals, but at home, he always wants it to be just him and Nightmare together. Almost like outside matters belong outside, and their territory belongs only to them.
Dream would become noticeably uncomfortable if someone invaded their territory. He’s naturally kind and gentle, but he’s extremely protective when it comes to Nightmare. Nightmare dislikes the presence of strangers, and Dream wants him to feel completely safe within their territory. Because of that, Dream draws very strict boundaries between inside and outside spaces, and he becomes surprisingly sensitive about intrusion.
Normally, Dream rarely shows his teeth at anyone, but when it comes to protecting Nightmare, he growls very easily. Nightmare has already been severely hurt by others once before, and Dream carries a great deal of guilt over the fact that he failed to protect him. He has no intention of ever making the same mistake again, and no matter how much he may trust or care about someone, whether or not that person could potentially harm Nightmare is treated as an entirely separate matter in his mind. Just because someone is kind to Dream does not mean they will be kind to Nightmare too.
As for Nightmare, he tends to behave in a very isolated way. Even before the injury, most of his attention was focused almost entirely on Dream. He mostly tried to hide unpleasant things from the outside world and wanted to preserve Dream’s natural kindness and innocence. Nightmare very obviously spoiled Dream, and Dream absolutely adored his brother’s overprotectiveness. Around Nightmare especially, Dream tended to become much more clingy and affectionate, and Nightmare would only cherish him more for it, always trying to show him only good things.
But after the injury, Dream suffered as though his own dependence had been the thing that hurt Nightmare. They were twins, yet it felt to him as though Nightmare had sacrificed everything for him simply because he was the older brother. But Nightmare never viewed it as a sacrifice. Those were all choices he willingly made because he cared about Dream, and if anything, he may have overprotected Dream so much that Dream never truly learned how dangerous the world could be.
And simply put, Nightmare liked protecting Dream. Seeing Dream smile made him feel proud, as though everything he did was right. Dream affirmed every part of him, and Nightmare loved that. He wanted to protect it. That’s why, after the injury, Nightmare dislikes the fact that Dream consciously became more mature and started showing sharpness toward others in order to protect him. Neither of them could really help it, but even so, Nightmare still feels as though he failed to protect Dream’s innocence.
Because they care about each other too much, both of them carry guilt toward the other. Even back when they were spirits living beneath the Tree of Feelings, the twins had their own territory together. Cats are territorial animals, so I think if both of them were cats, their emotional dynamic would actually remain fairly similar as long as they stayed together. And since they would be creatures that rely heavily on instinct, expressing those protective instincts would probably become much easier and more intense too.
Tiny cats obsessively protecting and caring for each other would definitely be adorable. Honestly, surprisingly enough, I think Nightmare might actually be the one who first allows another animal into their territory someday. In the end, Dream protects their territory for Nightmare’s sake, so if Nightmare personally decided he was comfortable with someone, Dream probably wouldn’t outright reject them either.
Though he would absolutely glare at them suspiciously, monitor them constantly, and probably behave like a grumpy little brat for quite a while first. After all, Dream was essentially Nightmare’s only family. Sometimes when an only child suddenly gets a younger sibling, they end up acting a little jealous too 😌
Thank you for the ask! Hope you have a lovely day 💕
