I Have Some News
Anyone who’s been following me on here for any real length of time knows that I’ve always wanted to be a writer. Well, that dream has come a little bit closer this week because I’ve officially signed with an agent! That means The Daffodil Project, my debut memoir/essay collection will be on your shelves at some point ✨ It’s a book about growing up disabled and what that means for your identity, what it’s like to navigate a world not built for a body like mine. But it’s also a book about family, pop culture, what it means to come of age in this hugely unstable world right now with social media in tow. i hope when the time comes, you guys will read my words and make Tumblr posts about them honestly.
My agent will also be hopefully getting me into TV/film writer’s rooms, having me in the media and doing paid speaking appearances as well. With all of that in mind, and with my ‘public profile’ only set to grow, it feels a bit odd to be maintaining a ‘fandom’ blog. Maybe posting about Taylor Swift/Harry Styles isn’t so cute when you’re going to be somewhat in the public eye. So, that means this blog will be disappearing. However, because I LOVE Tumblr and all of you so much, I’ve set up a new blog @hannahdiviney where you can follow along with all of the fun things I’m up to, get behind the scenes looks at the writing process, follow along with what’s inspiring/informing my work AND still get some sharp pop culture commentary. I really hope you guys will join me on this new adventure xxx
