want to get into dream smp? but the sheer amount of videos is overwhelming?

fear not! i have spent several days and a few all-nighters making this carrd that includes almost every plot-relevant stream i could remember, and organized them in chronological order by arc as clearly as possible!

it includes season one, season two, the current season, the spin-off tales from the smp, and even l'cast! and i also wrote a little bit of a background info about characters you’re expected to know about before they show up. and don’t worry, i update it fairly frequently. i also included some animatics if you like those ;]

PLEASE use it because i worked so hard on it!

Dream SMP Recap (January 27/2022) - Rampage

Hannah and Boomer have a meeting with Sam at the bank. 

George takes a trip around the server, speaking with some old friends.

- Hannah is at the crater where her house used to be. Boomer is standing there. He greets her awkwardly, asking if she got her wings back. Hannah is furious

- Hannah demands to know why Boomer set off the TNT while she was in her house. Boomer thought it would be funny. Hannah tells him that her wings painfully burnt off her body, at least saving her a canon life

- Boomer says that there must be some way to get her wings back, but Hannah doesn’t think there is

- They have to get back to work. Boomer was supposed to meet Sam. Hannah got the message too, but she says someone might have to replace Boomer. She can’t work with him after this

- Sam comes over to them at the bank. Hannah tells him she wants Boomer replaced, but Sam doesn’t agree

- Connor comes over while they’re arguing, asking if the bank is open yet. He’s been looking into investing, he heard that there’s a program for those recently released from prison. They tell him they’re in the middle of something

- Sam doesn’t care about Hannah’s wings getting lost. Connor asks what happened, and Hannah explains that they were burnt off because of Boomer

- Sam and Hannah try to get Connor on their side

- Sam gives Connor some diamonds, saying it’s part of the program. Boomer wonders if Connor could take Hannah’s job, but Connor has become a better person and now knows about the wage gap, so he would never take Hannah’s job

- Boomer says that Connor can take his position instead

- Connor places down a piece of TNT, but it’s quickly destroyed

- The three decide that Connor can become the janitor of the bank. Connor leaves

- Sam speaks with Boomer and Hannah. Boomer hasn’t done anything to help the bank, while Hannah has collected plenty of blocks

- Sam says that Boomer is the corporation’s number 2, while Hannah is number 3 in the hierarchy. Both of them haven’t done enough work on the bank. Hannah is in disbelief that Sam doesn’t care 

- Hannah says that she thought that since the beginning, she and Sam were best friends. And now he doesn’t care about her. Sam says he hears her, and he still doesn’t care to be honest

- Sam tells Boomer that if he doesn’t do any work, Boomer is getting fired. The two of them need to do more work. He’s the boss

- Sam goes to leave, telling them that after they’ve fixed the mess, they should gather some smooth stone. He leaves. Boomer says he needs to go check up on his house

- Hannah tells Boomer that they’re not done here. They’re going to figure out how to get her wings back, no matter how long it takes

- George logs on and wanders around, lamenting that no one is around anymore. He walks down the Prime Path in the direction of the prison. He makes brown dye and dyes all the signs he finds brown

- At the prison, he kills a few of the fish. He goes towards the entrance, noticing a flame arrow land in front of it. Dream steps out. They notice each other and ask what the other is doing here

- Dream asks if George missed him in prison. George thought Dream would be smart enough to break himself out. Dream had a plan, but it didn’t work out

- George asks if Dream has anything to give him, but Dream doesn’t. George asks why Sapnap told him Dream was threatening Kinoko. Dream pauses, then asks where Kinoko is. George refuses to show him. Dream tries to offer a tour of the prison in exchange, but he can’t actually get in

Dream: “Why didn’t you come to visit me George?”

George: “I – didn’t know how! I didn’t even know I could! How – I – look at it!”

…

Dream: “There was a visiting system.”

George: “…There was?”

Dream: “Yeah.”

George: “Oh…I guess…I just assumed you wouldn’t, like – look at it! Would you think they’d let me in here to see you?”

Dream: “But you didn’t even ask…”

- There’s a long pause. Dream says all is forgiven if George shows him Kinoko. George gestures in the direction. Dream asks how much he likes it, and George likes it quite a bit – but now there’s no one here, everything is empty

Dream: “Look if there’s no one there, what if you joined me, and we burn it all down?”

- Dream tells George that Sapnap has his armor, and if they burn Kinoko and get the armor back, Dream can give George his current set. George questions the logic of this plan

- Dream starts to attack, saying he’ll destroy Kinoko either way. Dream tosses George an extra shield, saying they can destroy Kinoko together

Dream: “Me and you. Look, we can be a team, just like old times.”

Dream: “If you’re not with me, you’re against me George.”

- Dream tells him to make a decision right now. George doesn’t, and Dream kills him with the Warden’s Bow

- George wakes up in his bed at Spawn with none of his items. He goes back to pick up his stuff, and Dream is gone. Angry, George destroys the statue of himself, then goes to Tommy’s house and kills Shroud before burning down the hotel

- While George is running back down the path, Dream shouts his name. George turns to see Dream with Technoblade. Techno says Dream told him there was a government to destroy

- A fight breaks out. While George attacks, Techno shouts that George is too good at combat, and he only has one life. George kills him. Dream keeps fighting, but George kills him too

- Callahan comes walking up to him and George murders him before going through the dropped items. He finds a compass pointing to Techno’s house, then blows up a part of the Prime Path

- George returns to Bad and Skeppy’s mansion only to spot someone inside: it’s Manatreed, a Steve skin, who attacks George until he dies by Thorns

George: “Well, it was nice knowing you Dr – uh, what’s your name – Skeppy and BadBoyHalo’s house?”

- George blows up the mansion, then goes to Techno’s house to kill all of the pets. He kills Ranboo’s pets as well and blows up the house

- George continues to travel around the server, eventually reaching Las Nevadas. He finds an Ender Chest with his own head in it and puts it on briefly

- George runs into Quackity, who was just heading to Kinoko Kingdom since it’s very flammable. George points out that it’s raining. Cheerfully, Quackity asks how he’s doing. George tells him that it’s been the best and worst day – and that he runs this place now

- Quackity is confused, pulling out a weapon. 

George: (laughs) “Are you threatening me? You with your scar above your eye, your battle wounds. Yeah wow, maybe that implies you’ve come off well from a battle.”

- George smugly tells him that just a few minutes ago, George took on Dream and Technoblade on his own. Quackity doesn’t believe him, so George throws him Techno’s chestplate

George: “I know what happened with you last time!”

- Quackity is in shock. George throws him Techno’s pickaxe and compass and starts placing down TNT on the sign to demonstrate what he did to Techno’s house

- George tells him he will spare the sign if Quackity gives him one simple item: a single arrow. Quackity throws one. George draws his bow and aims at Quackity, who quickly backs away. Smiling, George turns and shoots the arrow, igniting the TNT

- Gleefully, George runs, placing TNT as Quackity chases after him. George doesn’t even ignite it when Quackity’s death message shows up in chat, his scream echoing out as the explosions sound

- George destroys the needle and leaves Las Nevadas. As he gets to the community portal hub, Karl shouts that it’s been enough. Karl, dressed in white, arrives, telling George to stop

- Karl tells George that he is a time traveler and that he’s friends with DreamXD. He has tried to stop George time and time again

Karl: “Do you know what this is gonna to lead to? You’re playing god. We already have a god of this server, okay? DreamXD. I know DreamXD, and he is not gonna just put up with this, okay? Do you understand that? You’re playing god. And if you keep this up, you’re gonna have to meet him, and battle it out, or – you’re just gonna lose!”

George: “Why would I lose?”

Karl: “Or, you kill him, and that’s even worse! Because you’re gonna be a lonely little dictator all by yourself, miserable. And you’re gonna be the god of this world with nobody around.”

- Karl tells him that if George continues, nobody he cares about will be left, and he’ll be all alone in this world. George tells him that will happen in the next ten minutes, and it sounds wonderful

- George murders Karl, who drops heaps of Ender Dragon heads and TNT. George destroys the Community House next. 

- He goes to Eret’s castle and sits on the throne, then explodes it. He burns the Lemon Tree but the rain comes back to stop it

- George is disappointed when he notices Callahan is there again. Callahan starts running from him. George chases him down and asks for flint. Callahan gives it over

- George takes Callahan to the museum. He noticed Callahan had Eyes of Ender, and he wants them. He kills Callahan and takes the Eyes

- With Dream dead, there aren’t any rules anymore. George throws an Eye and travels to the Stronghold. It can be the George SMP now

- George enters the Stronghold, and DreamXD appears. He asks what George his doing, his voice even more distorted than usual. This place is off-limits

- George says he’s simply cleaning up the silverfish infestation

DreamXD: “THERE’S NO INFESTATION WITH ALL THE PROTECTORS.”

George: “The ‘protectors?’ These are not protectors, these are rodents! And they need to be destroyed.”

…

George: “Do you even know what’s happened in the last hour?”

DreamXD: “I DON’T CARE WHAT’S HAPPENED IN THE LAST HOUR, BUT YES, I KNOW EVERYTHING.”

George: “You know everything?”

DreamXD: “YES. I AM GOD.”

- George runs around looking for the portal room

DreamXD: “YOU SHOULD BE AFRAID!”

George: “Why am I afraid? of what?”

DreamXD: “BECAUSE I CAN KILL YOU INSTANTLY.”

George: “But you’re not going to, are you?”

- George reaches the portal room and DreamXD is there, threatening to kill him. George doesn’t think he would

DreamXD: “OH, I’D LOVE TO.”

George: “If you kill me, you’re gonna be the god over a world of nothing! There’s gonna be nothing left!”

DreamXD: “WHAT DO YOU MEAN.”

George: “I thought you knew everything? You didn’t see what I did?”

DreamXD: “OH, I’LL JUST RESTORE IT.”

- George places an Eye in a frame and DreamXD breaks it. George places the other Eyes in while XD laughs at him

DreamXD: “YOU PUNY LITTLE HUMAN.”

George: “I am not puny and I am not a human. I am god. I am god in this world.”

- DreamXD tells George to smite him down, then. He is invincible. DreamXD starts to attack, but George claims his trident can pass through XD’s protections. But when George tries to attack, it doesn’t work

- George tells XD that he must be scared to fight George on even terms. DreamXD says he is not scared, pulling out Netherite armor

DreamXD: “WATCH YOURSELF.”

- George taunts him, saying that he’s an idiot. DreamXD puts on the armor and attacks

DreamXD: “WE’RE EVEN NOW!”

- George fights back, now doing damage. DreamXD falls to his sword and George gains Creative Mode as the Ender Dragon death sound plays

- With his new powers, George repairs the portal and enters the End

- George notices that the End Crystals have already been destroyed. He starts to kill the Dragon

- Right as he’s about to slay the Ender Dragon, his vision blacks out. He wakes up in his bed at Spawn with his inventory just as it started 

- George is in disbelief. He runs around the server, but everything he destroyed is back. Sure enough, Shroud is still alive

- He sighs, gets up from his chair and leaves

Information we got about DreamXD from Foolish’s Stream (11/29-30/21)

XD is able to project his voice into the minds of people without physically manifesting to talk. He’s also able to do this to whomever he picks and choses. 

XD thinks BadBoyHalo is dense and an idiot.

XD got excited at the pitch of endereyes, he has an aesthetic. 

XD does not know what the color green was, and presumably other colors. He does know what grass is and learned grass is green. Whether this is because he’s only hung out with George (colorblind) or is because hes’ so detached from humanity that he doesn’t know is undetermined.

XD frequently gets bored and lonely. He spends most of his time watching people, and he enjoys the randomness of their everyday lives. He especially likes bloodshed and death, but only random bloodshed and death (such as wars, fights, etc). 

XD gets energy from ‘drinking souls’, but only souls of those who have died. Presumably why he enjoys death. He said it gave him energy but he also does it to “pass the time”.

XD hates being referred to as a person or a people of any kind. He views himself separate and above people. (Foolish had said he was talking to two people, and XD got mad and said he was not a people. When asked what he was, he said a God).

XD has no concept of time. He doesn’t know what a week is. He just told Foolish a random timeframe to get the statue done so that it keeps going along. He doesn’t understand the concept of hours or months or any timeframe.

XD doesn’t like most people. 

XD likes watching people lose.

XD definitely is NOT a poet what would give you that idea. (He hesitates on this question, silence is deafening and then he goes ‘nope’).

Foolish told XD you make friends by joking with people. XD had said someone once taught him  how to joke ‘a long time ago’ (again, no concept of time). When asked who, XD said a person. Foolish asked if he normally talked to people and XD said ‘only the ones that sleep the most’, implying George. Foolish said he knew a guy who slept a ton, wore goggles, and XD gave an amused hum. Foolish kept bringing up things about favorite humans, and humans XD liked the most and his answer always involved those who sleep the most without giving a name. 

XD can control and influence a person’s dreams. He can do this positively (implications he made about Bad’s Mother’s dreams) but he usually gives them nightmares. He says its entertaining, fun, and he also gets energy and feeds off of nightmares.

XD doesn’t like to talk about his age. He thinks its rude to ask. However; he stated he’ll live for an infinite amount of time. 

XD gets pure glee from the idea of giving people nightmares- and is especially excited when Foolish accidentally implies he can give Foolish a nightmare. They can ‘nightmare together’. He’s also excited when he eventually leaves to give Bad a nightmare as he senses he’d fallen asleep. 

XD uses up a lot of energy to present himself to people, but especially in his human form, and even more so if it’s physical and in person. He usually visits people in dreams because of this. 

XD’s human form is based on Dream because Dream was the first human he’d ever saw, and so he copied his looks. 

XD had stated ‘life isn’t fair’ to Foolish. Foolish asked if XD’s life was fair then, and XD stopped to say, “I AM Life.” Meaning that it was he who wasn’t fair.

Dream SMP Recap (November 28/2021) - JAILBREAK: SEASON FINALE

A day after Techno spots Ranboo being imprisoned by Sam, he gathers the Syndicate together to stage the prison break into Pandora’s Vault.

The escape doesn’t go exactly as planned, but Dream makes it out, now a free man.

Techno parts ways with Dream and goes searching for answers as the server deals with the repercussions, a manhunt ensuing. 

Dream confronts some familiar faces as everyone meets a new Ranboo.

Boomer’s hat tells him something strange about the prisoner, Tommy prepares for what the future holds, Jack seeks out Niki for a conversation…

 …and Foolish has an idea for a possible new member of Las Nevadas.

Dream SMP Recap (November 27/2021) - LAS NEVADAS FINALE

Quackity teaches Slime some valuable lessons, and in turn learns some himself.

Quackity walks out of the prison. There’s a flashback to Quackity interrogating Dream about Techno’s escape.

LESSONS

3 MONTHS BEFORE THE PRISON VISIT

-

- Slime walks up the spiral stairs of the hotel, meeting Quackity there. The two sit down, and Quackity explains that he is going to be visiting some “friends” soon, and he could die. Slime reminds Quackity of himself when he first arrived on the server. He wants to teach Slime everything he knows so that if Quackity doesn’t come back, he needs Slime to be able to take over for him when he dies

WEEK 1: Humans are assholes and they are going to gatekeep at any chance they get

- Quackity shows Slime the ruins of L’manburg, reminiscing on how he was rejected from L’manburg because he wasn’t British

WEEK 2: Politics are the way to power

- Quackity tells Slime that he has to create relationships with people he doesn’t like and sieze power through politics, telling the story of SWAG2020 and the Manberg cabinet, how that’s the way to power

Slime: “Quackity from Las Nevadas…do I need to want power?”

Quackity flashes back to his memories of Schlatt’s administration, being confronted by Tubbo and Niki, both distraught

WEEK 5: Create no emotional attachments to anything. Everything gets destroyed

- Quackity recites to Slime the stories of Wilbur and Dream and their downfalls, then his own: he wanted to build a nation until his friends abandoned him

- Slime asks if Las Nevadas is going to be destroyed. Quackity tells him he has to love the country like he does

WEEK 6: Hold your ground against authority

- Quackity teaches Slime about Mexican L’manburg and how he stood against authority to protect it. Not against good authority though, only bad (Quackity does an impression of Dream, dressing up as him to teach Slime about “bad authority”)

Slime: “Maybe one day I’ll teach you something!”

Quackity: “…You have.”

WEEK 10: Trust nobody

- Quackity tells Slime about how George didn’t show up to the election, how his friends made a country without him. Everyone he’s trusted has turned against him

(There’s a flashback to Sam talking with Dream, hiding him in secret)

- Slime tells Quackity that he trusts him. Should he stop? Quackity tells him that the people Quackity really cares about are the people he keeps around him. Slime is the only person he’s kept around for so long

- Slime tells Quackity that he doesn’t actually have 300 bones

WEEK 11: Seek successful revenge because if you fail, the consequences are going to be bitter

- Quackity has a flashback to hunting down Technoblade with the Butcher Army, putting together plans –

Slime: “is it worth it?”

Quackity: “What?”

Slime: “I’ve been watching for a long time and one person lashes out, then the other does, until they’re both gone. From what I’ve seen, it feels like people don’t stop taking that revenge…is it ever worth it?”

Quackity: “No…no it’s not.”

FINAL WEEK: Legacy is all you leave behind in this world

- Quackity tells Slime that his legacy is Las Nevadas, and that’s why he cares for it so long. Legacy is what people leave behind

Slime: “Let’s leave behind a good one.”

- A page flips, and Purpled recites:

“I’ve not yet forgotten Quackity’s heinous crimes against my heritage. The UFO explosion is a crime which I will not, and cannot forgive. I’ve been trying to get closer to everyone in order to appear friendly. However, Slime seems to be Quackity’s new puppet. Disappointing. I notice the weekly pattern. This puts a dent in my plan to sieze power through friendly diplomacy. I have to change my strategy. I’ll have to strategize through Slime and try to squeeze him out of any valuable information. And when the time seems right, I’ll do whatever I have to do.”

- Quackity sees Slime in his bedroom. He wants to give one last piece of advice: he’s never been lucky, so he has to make his own luck. 

Quackity: “Remember one thing, Slime: The house always wins. And guess what? We are the house, so we will always win.”

LOOSE ENDS

2 DAYS BEFORE THE PRISON VISIT

-

- Sapnap is wandering around Las Nevadas, marveling at the place

- Quackity sees him and greets him gleefully, excited to finally reunite

- Sapnap asks if he’s heard of Kinoko, that he should come see it. Quackity quickly brings him around on a tour of the place. Sapnap asks him again if he’s seen Karl. Quackity hasn’t, but he’s seen George

- Quackity says Las Nevadas has been busy. They have the grand opening coming up, he doesn’t know if he can make a trip to Kinoko. Sapnap insists that they go

- As thunder booms, Quackity tells Sapnap that they left to make a country without him. Sapnap is confused – Karl sent out an invitation, but Quackity didn’t get one, and nobody forgets an invitation like that

- Sapnap tells him to come see Karl right now and find out the truth…

- Quackity and Sapnap enter Kinoko Kingdom. Quackity notes that the style is like the style he wanted for El Rapids

- Sapnap shows him around to the military building that he overseas. Quackity asks if they have any enemies – they might have some soon…

- He also shows Quackity Tina’s house, the newest member of the server and resident of Kinoko

- Sapnap tells him they’re welcome to new members, but Quackity is busy with Las Nevadas. They go over to the library and Quackity asks how long after they stopped talking did they start on this. Sapnap says it was decently soon after

- They run into Karl at the library. Karl’s eyes have turned yellow. Quackity points out things about Kinoko that remind him of stuff they had back in New L’manburg

- Karl was thinking of making a rollercoaster on his house. Quackity points out that he already did…

- Sapnap and Quackity ask if he remembers El Rapids, all their missions

- Karl suddenly pulls Sapnap aside, asking why he brought the guy who was the reason he died here. Quackity and Sapnap are shocked – this is Quackity!

- Sapnap and Quackity try to remind him that Karl’s death was a plan that all of them agreed on to legitimize Mexican L’manburg, but Karl doesn’t remember agreeing to it. Quackity snaps at Karl about not being invited to Kinoko

Karl: “I don’t know anything about you except you’re the reason I died!”

- They walk out of the house shouting at each other, Sapnap trying to shout that it’s just a joke

Quackity: “What, you’re just gonna ignore all the history we’ve had together Karl, you’re gonna be an asshole like that?!”

Karl: “WHAT HISTORY?”

- Quackity rants at Karl that he’s worked on everything alone, he’s never needed to work with anyone else, he’s only done it himself

- Karl runs away from Quackity in the rain. Quackity shouts that if Karl ever tries to come across him or Las Nevadas, there will be problems. Karl orders Sapnap to get Quackity out of here

- Quackity tells Sapnap that Sapnap is still welcome, but he doesn’t want Karl around him. Quackity leaves, enraged

There’s a flashback to the Mexican L’manburg protest and the all of them planning Karl’s death.

DAY OF THE VISIT

Quackity enters the prison and there’s another flashback to Techno’s escape and the chaos that ensued afterwards, as Quackity discovers that Dream is seemingly missing as well.

- Quackity is running through Las Nevadas, beckoning Slime over to him. He needs to find the others. Purpled comes running over to them. Purpled tells them that somebody left a chest…

- Quackity is suspicious of the chest, but Slime runs over to open it instead. They turn around and Purpled flips a lever, sending them tumbling down into a fall trap

- They’re on a platform above the lava, and Purpled confronts Quackity about the prison visit. He wants the revival book for himself

- Quackity tells Purpled that Dream and Techno are out of prison. Purpled puts on a suit of Netherite to kill Quackity for the book unless he gives up the book. The two begin to fight

Quackity: “Even if I did have the fucking book…I wouldn’t give it to you.”

- Purpled turns and hits Slime off the edge of the platform into the lava below. Quackity jumps in after him, trying to save Slime, but it’s not use

Slime: “Thank you for showing me what it’s like to be human…maybe I almost was.”

Slime perishes in the lava.

WEEKS LATER

-

There’s a shot of Quackity by some bookshelves. He goes down into Slime’s room. Slime is there, greener than before and unmoving, and Quackity’s brought him two books. He’s been researching slimes, hoping to help Slime walk and talk again. He doesn’t know if Slime even remembers him. He’s been writing down everything Slime ever did.

Quackity: “You’re more than slime, you’re human. So it’s gonna sounds silly, but I came up with a name for you. I came up with…Charlie. I kinda like it.”

- He notices that there’s one more book than normal in the chest…a book that Slime wrote, filled with random letters

- Quackity runs off to try and figure it out, going to the library Foolish

The two of them notice that certain letters are spaced apart from the others.

Legacy.

- Quackity runs back to tell Charlie he figured it out, but Charlie is already gone.

Dream SMP Recap (October 29/2021) - Boomer

After his previous visits, Boomer joins the SMP officially and gets his first pet.

- Eryn logs on, meeting Tommy near the prison

- Tommy leaves and Eryn listens to an audiobook

- Eryn then spends time at the spider spawner getting his gear enchanted. He creates Scrog and Mlem, his weapons

- Boomer logs on! He walks out of Spawn and Eryn runs up to greet him, immediately murdering him with Scrog. Purpled chases Eryn down and kills him

- Antfrost joins them and Boomer kills Purpled. He gives Eryn his things back

- Boomer gets iron armor and Purpled and Antfrost start walking him down the path

- Hannah shows Boomer the new Pickles that she’s built. Ponk meets them at the bank

- They go over to Hannah’s house and Boomer visits his grave

- They go into Ponk’s Sadness Cave, then the original Lemon Tree

- Boomer is baptized in Church Prime

- He steals some stuff from Tommy’s house and they all mine the beacon platform in the quarry

- They take Boomer to L’manburg and the surrounding area. Boomer walks into Boomerville

- Sam takes Boomer through the Nether to his mountain base, where he offers Boomer one of George’s and Sapnap’s rooms to stay in

- Afterwards, they return to the main area and Sam shows Boomer Pandora’s Vault. Sam tells him that Dream’s in there since he’s a bad guy, and Boomer asks what kind of bad guy, as “bad guy” could mean many things

- Sam shows them his new megabase area and the World Eater

- Later, Sam takes Boomer to his three-spawner spider arm. Boomer gets a skeleton horse

- They play with the parrots at Antfrost’s animal sanctuary and then visit the actual jungle biome, where Boomer finds a little blue parrot he gets as a pet! Boomer names it Rio

- They go to the ocean monument Guardian farm. While Boomer goes AFK, Sam decides to play a prank on him with chat by pretending that Rio died, that Sam killed Rio by accident

- Sam tells Boomer that Rio died and they go back to the jungle biome, where Sam gives Boomer the feathers. Antfrost warns him that he can’t get too attached to anything on the server, because this is what happens. Boomer is heartbroken

- Boomer hears a parrot and goes digging, thinking Rio must be around somewhere. He finds Rio hidden in the ground, alive!

- Boomer spots another parrot up in the trees and names it Chika

- The three bring the parrots back to the mainland and put them in the animal sanctuary

Dream SMP Recap (October 18/2021) - Way Too Much Among Us

Foolish builds an Among Us bunker, Hannah pranks the SMP with giant Among Us statues, and Michael retrieves his items from his old house, wondering if he’ll ever get answers.

- Foolish does a 10-hour building stream working on the Among Us bunker

- Bad and Punz log on. Foolish goes looking for them. They say they’re at Snowchester and apologize to Foolish for a creeper explosion at the mansion

- Foolish meets them and they fix the damage. Punz logs off and Foolish leaves with Bad to show him the bunker

-  Later, Hannah pranks Foolish by building a giant Among Us character on his pyramid

- Foolish logs on and goes to the pyramid

- After that, she goes to the prison to build a giant pink Among Us character just outside of Pandora’s Vault

- Michael gets his armor from a chest in his room

- He goes out, now in a new built-up area with a fortress, ready to do the day’s task: mining out a tunnel in his bunker

- Michael has his first live blooper! The wrong pickaxe!

- He has to go back to L’manburg to grab all his items because he’s sick of having to return there. He has a lot of TNT

- He travels through the Nether talking to Alesa and chat

- Michael makes it back to his house near Spawn, taking everything of value from his storage

- He exits and wonders if YouTube is canon to Dream SMP

- Michael heads back through the Nether to his base. While he makes his new storage chests, he has a breakdown with Alesa over not being in character

- He talks to Alesa. He doesn’t think anybody heard or found their message, but they should always be ready for a visitor…

- Michael has heard many stories, like that of a Samsung Fridge. What he has never gotten a straight answer about, though, is what Dream did to deserve being locked up in prison. It seems like this town is a ghost town with no answers

- Frankly, his biggest question is, at what point does any of it matter? Does the fact that this guy is locked away for life matter? Because if no one is going to tell him the story of why, then he can’t form an opinion about Dream

- The only time he got close, Sam stopped him and told him that if Michael went back, Sam would kill him

- In its current state, Michael sees no reason to back to L’manburg. Too much politics, too many stories, too many sides. The more that he can stay away, the better

- A few people have been nice. He doesn’t think Bad is bad…maybe when he gets the chance, he can finally get the answers he seeks one day…but does he even want the answers?

- He gave out his coords…and he’s waiting for someone now

Quackity makes a visit to the two prisoners.

- Techno and Dream are still in the cell. Dream has been punching the obsidian for three months, and he is still at it. 

- Dream doesn’t know how to whistle and a dog has randomly appeared in the cell. They discuss dogs

- Quackity is at the front desk with Sam, asking that the prisoners are both there. He’s dressed in full Netherite holding an enchanted pair of shears, a Netherite axe in his hotbar

- As they walk through the precautions, Quackity reminds Sam that they want the revival book, and he wants Sam not to say anything. They reach the lava

- Techno notices Quackity and Sam’s nametags and urges Dream to stop mining. They act normal and ring the bell

- Quackity tells Sam that he hopes this will be the last time he has to come here, and that he can get what he needs. He sets his spawn

- Something goes wrong with the lava and it doesn’t fall right. Quackity is outraged that Sam would let them have a dog

- It falls for good this time. Sam tells Quackity to kill the dog as soon as he gets in there but Quackity doesn’t want to. It’s Sam’s security flaw

- Quackity reaches the cell and demands to know why the dog is there. Quackity names it Rat. Techno tries to punch Quackity off the edge into the lava. In his defense, it would have been funny

- Quackity tells Dream that he has to hand over the book, or Quackity will kill Techno

Techno: “Hear me out…does he really have any leverage? Because if he kills me, and my best friend is a necromancer, doesn’t that just kinda work out?”

- Techno and Dream have spent the last three months bonding after all. Dream also tells Quackity that if he gives Quackity the revive book, Quackity might as well be killing both him and Techno

- Quackity will just kill them both then. Techno remains calm, but Dream asks for more time. Quackity refuses

- Quackity snaps, running around and hitting Techno with the shears. Techno remarks that even though Dream can revive him, it still hurts. Dream shouts at Quackity to stop, then at Sam to stop Quackity

- With his health running low, Techno quickly says he has information. Finally, Sam calls out Quackity’s name and Quackity halts, asking what “information” this is. Techno spins a tale of his worldly travels

Quackity: “Technoblade, I’m gonna tell you one thing…One thing I went through was death. When you killed me, did you think I was just gonna forget about it? Did you think I was just gonna walk away, did you think I was just gonna walk away and forget about it?”

“I’ll - I’ll tell you something, Techno, I’ll tell you something…”

He pulls out a diamond pickaxe.

“I have a pickaxe, and I’LL PUT IT THROUGH YOUR FUCKING TEETH, TECHNO! I’LL PUT IT THROUGH YOUR FU-”

- Techno suddenly teleports, appearing at the Syndicate room

Phil: “…Did it work?”

- Shocked and furious, Quackity starts shouting at Dream and hitting him with the shears, demanding to know where Techno went while Dream insists he doesn’t know. Sam yells at Quackity to “make Dream talk”

- Meanwhile, back at the Syndicate room, Techno scolds Phil for leaving him there for three months. He thought Phil would only take a few days. Phil thought he said three months…but now realizes he actually said three days

- Techno tells Phil what happened, that Quackity is in line with the Warden and is plotting

- Quackity and Sam rush through the prison, Quackity freaking out and Sam thinking it must be some kind of trick

- Techno grabs things from his Ender Chest and travels through Phil’s secret tunnel to the Wither Vault while Quackity races through the halls of the prison in a shouting match with Sam

- Quackity and Sam make it back to the lava wall and as it falls, they don’t see Dream in the cell. Sam starts panicking 

- Back at the houses, Phil apologizes to Techno for leaving him at the prison and asks if Techno got any information. Techno has plenty:

- Sam activates the prison’s alarm and they run down the halls screaming

- Techno sees that Edward the Enderman has been reincarnated in his house!

- Quackity needs to go to Las Nevadas immediately. Dream took his country once, and Quackity will defend Las Nevadas to death

- Edward gives Phil a gentle dirt hug!

- Quackity needs to tell everyone in Las Nevadas what happened. He needs to protect it because it’s all he has left

- Techno goes down into the basement and trades some emeralds with villagers

- The alarm stops and Quackity makes his plans

Quackity: “This is it…this is it…”

The screen fades to black.

- Phil assures Techno that he can read

In Las Nevadas, a clock ticks…

BATTLE LOG - DAY 1

LAS NEVADAS HAS BECOME A PRIME TARGET …

DREAM HAS ESCAPED PRISON.

I HAVE GATHERED EVERY CITIZEN AND ARMED THEM WITH RESOURCES.

WE ARE AWAITING AN ATTACK VERY SOON.

- Techno sets off with Carl. There’s a place he needs to go. In the “information” book are written a single line of coordinates

- Techno reaches the place the coordinates mark: The mountain peak he and Dream first met during Techno’s time in Pogtopia

Techno: “Oh, even the block he was standing on, bro. This guy’s – this guy’s such a sentimentalist, bro. Look at this guy!”

There’s a chest there. Techno opens it to find it full of blueprints and a single signed book….

- Sam wanders through the prison, muttering to himself as he searches all over the prison for Dream

- He comes back to the main cell area and notices blocks of cobblestone at the base. The first thing he does when he crosses the bridge is kill the dog

- Sam looks through all of the books in the chest. They’re all blank (except one)

- Sam finally drops down into the toilet and sees Dream crouching there, instantly punching him to death by accident

- Dream, panicked, explains that they were digging, and that Sam can’t tell Quackity or he would kill him

- Sam asks Dream what he’s supposed to do. He can’t let Quackity think Dream escaped, but he’s relieved that Dream is still here

- Dream pleads with Sam not to tell Quackity. It’s Sam’s job to keep Dream in the prison alive, and he won’t be if Sam tells Quackity he’s there

- Sam asks why Dream won’t just give them the book

Dream: “Because then I’m dead…”

Sam: “I won’t kill you, Dream…I’ll let you stay in here.”

Dream: “You’re a liar.”

Sam: “I’m not a liar, Dream. I’m a lot of things, but a liar’s not one of them.”

- Sam asks what he’s supposed to tell Quackity, then, if he’ll still be monitoring the prison. Dream says Sam can think he’s still somewhere here

- Sam asks what Dream and Techno talked about and starts mining the bell, but Dream keeps him from destroying it

- Sam suggests Dream tell him the secret then, so that if Quackity kills him, Sam can revive him. Dream doesn’t believe he would

- Besides, Dream can’t go around telling people about the book, because everyone might become too powerful. What if the wrong person obtains it?

Dream: “I’m the perfect person to know.”

Sam: “How are you the perfect person to know? You’re not the good guy, Dream. Don’t pretend like you’re the good guy. We both know that’s not true.”

Dream: “I don’t think that I’m the bad guy…”

Sam: “How are you not the bad guy?”

Dream: “Well I think there’s – you know, good people do bad things. Like, you know, it’s just–”

Sam: “Bad people do bad things.”

Dream: “–Good guys, bad guys…”

Sam: “So what you did to Tommy, you were just a good guy doin’ a bad thing? Makin’ a mistake?”

Dream: “…Look, just don’t tell Quackity.”

- Sam says he won’t tell Quackity, but he doesn’t have to feed Dream, as he still has some potatoes. He turns to leave but Dream asks for more, to go to the courtyard. Sam is annoyed that Dream would ask after the whole situation that just happened

- Sam tells Dream he sealed up the courtyard ceiling because it was a security flaw, and he was going to have cows for steak but then it was changed to just raw potatoes

Dream: “I didn’t know that I was gonna end up in here…”

Sam: “Right, right, so it was okay as long as someone else was the one eating the raw potatoes. Right? That’s when it was okay that way, right? But now that it’s you, it’s not as fun, right? Yeah. We can’t go to the courtyard, Dream, that’s a big security issue. A big security flaw.”

Dream: “Maybe – maybe you were right.”

Sam: “Think so?”

- Dream tells Sam to put it back the way Sam wanted it, then. Sam thinks this must be some kind of trick Dream and Techno are planning, as Dream never asked to see the courtyard before Techno magically disappeared. 

Sam: “Everything you hate about the prison was your idea. You should – you should ex– you know what? You know what I’m glad! I’m glad that you haven’t seen the light in a while. This was literally – this was literally the experience that you wanted for the prisoners. You – this is – you made this bed, literally. You – I – I may have built it, I may have engineered it, but it was – you were the one that wanted – do you know what you put Tommy through? This is – I mean I don’t even think this is as bad. I – you should be thankful! You wanted this to be for Tommy, Dream. You and me both know it. We both know, you told me to build this so you could put Tommy in here, didn’t you? That’s why you wanted people to be able to visit, that way you could flaunt Tommy who you’ve got stuck in a cell in front of everyone.”

- Maybe next time it won’t be Quackity who comes into the cell. Maybe it will be Sam

- Sam leaves Dream there. He’ll be back soon. As he goes, he tells Dream to write him a little book

- Foolish admires his interior design work. He even added a pool table

- He walks outside to find Quackity there. Quackity immediately starts asking about supplies, armor, weapons. Foolish shows him the pool table

- Quackity rushes Foolish to the top floor and breaks the windows to get wind noise to block out any potential bugging

- He assigns Foolish as his official Military Advisor and tells Foolish that Dream is no longer in prison…he’s escaped, and Las Nevadas will be a primary target

- Foolish shows Quackity their Netherite supplies. Quackity tells him to make the underground base a priority and to inform the other Las Nevadas residents

- Quackity leaves to go speak to other people

- Foolish thinks to himself. He hopes Quackity doesn’t think his own prison reak attempt had anything to do with this. He wonders if something he’s already been working on could possibly be used as a bunker…

- Foolish heads over to the Doozer HQ. Maybe this could work?

- He then goes over to Pandora’s Vault and checks on his tunnel to make sure it wasn’t used

- Foolish returns to the Summer Home and goes down into his basement to take count of his resources

- Finally, he travels back to Las Nevadas to look around some more

Transcript Masterpost p. 1: Exile Arc

I originally planned to do exile arc through to c!Tommy’s revival all in one setting, but since I broke my elbow; that would be done very far into the future.

So, I decided to post the first part: Exile Arc.

In the beginning, I just wanted to transcribe the most relevant scenes with c!Tommy and c!Dream, and then later (first actual exile stream) I decided to transcribe entire VODs to be able to bring as many forgotten scenes and lines to light.

When my arm is healed, I’ll be going back and transcribing the entire pre-exile vods and updating this post as well, don’t you worry.

My hope is this will be able to help make it easier to include the proper quotes and timestamps in analysis posts, to minimise hearsay and spreading quotes people are unable to find the context of.

I’ll be linking to a Google docs for each vod as well as one big Google folder that will eventually be updated to include transcripts from Bedrock Bros arc and onwards.
