wait its that bad in india????
as of 22nd April 2021 we have about 16.3M new cases and a death toll of 187K . Only about 1.4% of the population has been fully vaccinated yet.
on top of that, weāve been facing a major shortage in oxygen supply (to the point where the govt has decided to airlift oxygen from other nations), a shortage in hospital beds and services. The numbers keep rising and with the spread of the new strain, the scenario has transformed into something deadlier than ever.
our infrastructures are falling apart and we need all the help possible at this very moment so the nation can be atleast saved when thereās still a chance. Iāve already lost two of my friends, a teacher and family to the second wave and I can only imagine how much worse it can get. so i would like to take this opportunity to link in some donation posts belowā

Getting the word out at this time of crisis matters.
Please reblog and help
345k+ new cases of covid today in india!! in a single day!! twitter and instagram are our healthcare system rn!! we're short on icu beds, oxygen cylinders, covid vaccines and drugs!! we have no slots in incremation grounds to respectfully do the last rites needed for our dead!! patients are dying outside hospitals because there are!! no!! beds!! patients are dying inside ambulances!! and the states that are claiming to have enough resources rn are on their way to have a shortage of the same!! healthcare workers are being stretched thin!! we're all facing an acute mental health crisis rn!! meanwhile our central govt is doing too little too late!! after spending months doing election rallies and giving a green light to religious festivals (with hundreds of thousands of attendees) up until last week, they've finally decided to wake up and start paying attention to the covid crisis and it!! is!! not!! enough!!
if you would like to help, check out this publicly sourced document that is collating and constantly updating mutual aid fundraisers. please please amplify and donate to even any one of these causes!! especially people outside of india: your money matters! as of 24th april, 2021, 1 USD = 75 Indian rupees, 1 euro = 90 INR so your money is extremely valuable and it will save lives!

Great scene, and based on an actual historical incident in medieval Germany:
When King Conrad III defeated the Duke of Welf (in the year 1140) and placed Weinsberg under siege, the wives of the besieged castle negotiated a surrender which granted them the right to leave with whatever they could carry on their shoulders. The king allowed them that much. Leaving everything else aside, each woman took her own husband on her shoulders and carried him out. When the kingās people saw what was happening, many of them said that that was not what had been meant and wanted to put a stop to it. But the king laughed and accepted the womenās clever trick. āA kingā he said, āshould always stand by his word.ā
Medieval women were BAMFs.
We stan both the wives and the king
