Old Faces || Alma
Truthfully, Kanda just wanted to laugh. This was such a ridiculous situation. The person before him wasn’t Sousuke anymore, apparently. Now his name was Alma Karma? In any other moment he would have called him crazy. But now, standing there in the rain, he just felt so tired.
"Really? Is that supposed to make me feel better?" The Enforcer said with a cruel smile on his face. He shoved the other man to the ground roughly. He didn’t know what he really wanted to do at the moment. A part of him wanted to use the lethal eliminator, but he knew the Dominator was just a piece of junk against Alma.
"You tortured me for 24 hours." He growled. "You used hammers and knives and crowbars. You broke my bones and caused internal bleeding."
"And you know what happened after that? I became a latent criminal and my only way out of the Institution was to become a dog for the Sibyl System!" Kanda was screaming. For the first time in so long, he was finally releasing all the pent up anger and sadness he had inside.
"And just when I thought you had at least died, you fucking show up no worse for wear?! Why did I have to pay for what you did to me?!”
All those words that were thrown at him hurt more than the punch, than any kind of physical pain that could be inflicted upon him. He could feel his despair rising, the nightmares and terrors filling his mind again, as if another self was vying to take over.
He remembered the same thoughts that had filled him back then rising in his mind now.
He didn't make an attempt to rise from the ground. He lay there supported by his elbows, eyes darting from object to object before resting on the man in front of him. His mouth opened as if to say something, but no words emerged. What could he say? What could he say? Could he say anything? Did he have the right to say anything?
Then, words finally began forming at his lips, so naturally they sounded in the downpour that he barely had any idea what he said.
"You were suppose to die. We were suppose to die together." His body seemed to move on its own as it rose from its position on the ground. He cracked his neck and rubbed his face where a bruise was forming before taking a few tentative steps towards the other.
"Hey, Yuu," he said in a light tone, betraying his dangerous expression. "Let's die."
