ā¢ heās been hurt a lot in his past
ā¢ everyone used to know him as the happy virus
ā¢ he was never in a bad mood
ā¢ but that all changed over a summer break
ā¢ he ended the school year as happy as ever, but returned the following autumn with a completely different attitude
ā¢ no one knows exactly what happenedānot even his closest friends
ā¢ but whatever it was, itās caused his life to slowly but surely deteriorate
ā¢ he used to get straight aās and be kind to others
ā¢ but now he just kind of acts like a douche
ā¢ you never really talked to sanghyuk because from what you knew,
ā¢ he didnāt even look at girls
ā¢ it didnāt bother you though, because heās just one person
ā¢ he soon just stopped going to school
ā¢ he just basically stopped showing up because he didnāt see the point anymore
ā¢ you only heard rumors about him and although you wouldnāt like to admit it, the rumors made you curious
ā¢ who just goes from being a good human being to someone who doesnāt even give others the time of day?
ā¢ but in the end you always thought it was never your business to ask around about someone elseās life
ā¢ so one day, you decide to make a trip to the store to buy some snacks for you and your friend
ā¢ youāre just minding your business
ā¢ when you see a guy slip a bottle of liquor under his jacket
ā¢ you kind of watch for a second, not wanting to falsely accuse him of stealing
ā¢ you see him look around then beeline for the door
ā¢ āhey! you didnāt even pay for that!ā
ā¢ you shout, dropping the items in your arms to run after the guy
ā¢ just as you exit the store, you see him turn into an alley
ā¢ āgot you.ā you whisper to yourself as you full on sprint into the alley
ā¢ luckily, this guy doesnāt seem very smart.
ā¢ heās stopped against the brick wall of a building, opening the newly stolen alcohol
ā¢ you immediately bolt towards him and grab the bottle out of his hands
ā¢ āyou canāt just steal like that and expect to get away with itā
ā¢ āgive me my bottle back, little girlā the guy says angrily āor youāll regret itā
ā¢ this doesnāt scare you because
ā¢ whatās he gonna do? fight you?
ā¢ you bet he tries to fight you
ā¢ the man grabs both of your wrists and spins so your back is against the wall
ā¢ this causes you to drop the bottle, shattering it
ā¢ as sanghyuk turns out of a door in the dark alley, he hears the shattering glass
ā¢ he glances over to see the guy, manhandling you, and you struggling to get out of his grasp
ā¢ he stops for a second
ā¢ he canāt just let some girl get possibly seriously injured from some jerk
ā¢ heās not that bad of a person
ā¢ sanghyuk rolls his eyes before walking over to the situation
ā¢ he grabs the mans arm and yanks him backwards, away from you
ā¢ āi suggest you leave her aloneā he says with no emotion
ā¢ the guy chuckles before pushing sanghyuk back
ā¢ sanghyuk sighs before staring at the guy with an eerily calm facial expression
ā¢ and then you come out of nowhere and punch the guy in his face
ā¢ āthatās what you get, asshole! pay the price physically since you canāt just hand the cashier the money!ā
ā¢ you try to hit the man again, but you feel a force holding you back
ā¢ ālet me go!ā you yell, ready to pounce on the guy
ā¢ before sanghyuk can even speak, you guys hear a group of older men from the other end of the alley
ā¢ ādo we have a problem?ā on of them shouts as they begin to run towards you guys
ā¢ without another word, sanghyuk grabs your hand and sprints out of the alley
ā¢ it feels like you two are running forever
ā¢ you keep running hard with him until you canāt feel your legs anymore
ā¢ āi think we lost themā you say to him as you stop running, leaning down with your hands on your knees, trying to catch your breath
ā¢ he stops and takes a quick glance at you before looking away
ā¢ and he just starts to walk away
ā¢ āwhere are you going?ā you question him as you begin to follow him
ā¢ he answers with only one word āhome.ā
ā¢ you turn your head in confusion but continue to follow him
ā¢ it isnāt until heās halfway there that he notices that youāre still behind him
ā¢ āwhat are you doing?ā he asks without looking back at you, still walking
ā¢ you clear your throat awkwardly
ā¢ āwellā¦ i donāt know where we are.ā
ā¢ sanghyuk stops in his tracks
ā¢ āso youāre telling me that not only did i save you, but i also need to go out of my way to take you home?ā
ā¢ you scoff ādid i ask you to help me? i wouldāve been completely fine by myselfā you roll your eyes
ā¢ āi doubt you couldāve held your ground.ā sanghyuk shoots back, still not taking one look at you
ā¢ you cross your arms. āyouāre mean.ā
ā¢ he looks up at you, but only for a quick second. āwhat are you? five?ā
ā¢ āi may be acting childish, but at least iām not mean.ā you pout
ā¢ youāre really starting to get on her nerves
ā¢ āwhere do you live?ā he asks you
ā¢ you tell him and he groans
ā¢ āif you live on the other side of town, why the hell were you at that convenient store.ā
ā¢ ājust take me to my friends house. itās right by the storeā you tell him
ā¢ he doesnāt speak before turning around, walking opposite of the direction you came
ā¢ youāre beginning to get irritated
ā¢ āwe should take a different route, because they might be looking for usā he informs you
ā¢ youāre irritation begins to go away because you think for a second
ā¢ he must know a lot about this stuff
ā¢ maybe all the rumors about him are true
ā¢ eventually, you make it to your friends house, with the help of sanghyuk
ā¢ heās ready to just leave until you ask him to wait for a minute
ā¢ āuh, thanks a lot for helping me. that was really nice of you.ā you start to say
ā¢ he just stands awkwardly, not knowing exactly what to say
ā¢ āi want to pay you back in some wayā you smile at him not that heās looking at you
ā¢ still, sanghyuk is unsure of how to respond
ā¢ āmeet me outside of the store tomorrow at like 4pm and iāll pay you back for helping me today.ā you walk into your friends house, thinking about the recent events
ā¢ they happened pretty quickly, and out of nowhere, but youāre pretty sure that from how much he helped you today, that heās not a bad kid.
ā¢ thereās something about him & you want to find out what it is
