Looking for an indie singer-songwriter track to be the background to your indie romantic comedy film? Look no farther and take a listen to DRENCH FRIES’ newest track “Fruit bat” - from the moment I pressed play, I could already imagine a film like Juno using this in the soundtrack. I love that the percussions don’t kick in until about halfway through the track but it really separates the song into two sections that give it a nice kick. The vocals have that classic lo-fi mellow sound but it works well with the overall vibe.

When is ur new music coming out? I've been waiting, hanging by a thread. There's nothing in my life that will satisfy me until I can hear more. I sit down and look out a window, just waiting for your new ep to come out and it keeps saying weeks later?

Look, im flattered, but my music cant even satisfy hunger, let alone your existential void. But the reason its taking so long is im trying to do that thing frank ocean did where he built up hype by pushing back the release date further and further ya know? jk its really just because its taking me so f ing long to record and mix it and stuff and i got sick and couldnt record vocals and my computer ran out of space and idk its just taking forever. BUT all i have left is vocals and a little more mixing so it is really coming soon now!!

What's it like in Seattle?

hah im actaully not up there just yet (moving in a couple weeks) but from the time ive spent there already its cloudy and green and just very cool in every sense of the term. Im very stoked to live there soon
