These #campvibes pieces are fun, gonna make a few more for those who are interested... It's tough to capture the depth in these photos, each element is painted in a separate layer of resin to get the most depth.
Great work, super inspiring! Glad to have found you!
Thanks pal!✌️
Drew Mosley’s Dioramas.
These incredible dioramas by Drew Mosley are actually layer after layer of painted resin that create a three dimensional sculpture in the middle of the carved out bowls. The additional flora and fauna, among other items are also hand collected by Mosley who seems quite at one with nature. He’s certainly a natural at creating beauty.
Continue below for even more amazing pieces:

I stopped by the gallery this afternoon and I must say that sometimes it is bitter sweet being an artist and selling your work. These pieces take a very long time to make so I usually get pretty attached to them. I am very fortunate that the opening went exceedingly well, but I have to admit I always get sad to see the pieces go. At least I know that they are off to good homes with amazing people. Thank you to everyone that came out for the opening and to those who have continued to stop in to see it. This was the last piece finished, I still don't have photos for most of the pieces, working on that...
I made a giant nest for tonight's opening, hope to see you tonight for "Diorama" @ottawaartgallery
Show opens in a week! I foolishly thought it was a good idea to start 4 new pieces this close to the opening... Oh well. Here's a detail shot of "the egg thief".
Please join me at the reception for the opening of my all new body of works. Drew Mosley Diorama June 4 – July 25, 2015 Opening reception: June 4, 5:30 pm Drew Mosley brings the forest to life in a series of works that both invite and unnerve. Using a technique involving painting on layers of resin, and combining at times found objects, he creates three-dimensional illustrations that tell the stories of fantastic forest-dwelling creatures. Mosley describes his works as frozen “moments of peril or safety, [where] anthropomorphized beasts struggle to fend off the encroachments of their two-legged foes.” Diorama features both new and installation-based pieces from Mosley’s body of work. An artist and carpenter living in Ottawa, Mosley spends his days juggling an extensive studio practice and a range of building and woodworking projects. His works have been exhibited in Ottawa, Montreal, Vancouver and Greece. Artist website: www.drew-mosley.com Organized by Stephanie Germano, Manager, ART Rental and Sales.
