BIO.
drew was the surprise third (and final) ohara, but the first and only to be born to his parents who had previously thought themselves unable to have biological children
grew up on aurora bay drive fairly well off monetarily if not a little lonely, their large age gap leaving a disconnect between him and his siblings that was only made worse by the constant comparisons to them
if asked though, drew would say that being so much younger had its perks, and he definitely took advantage of being given a leniency that meant he was able to just kind of ride the coattails of their found successes while never truly being held accountable to try and seek out any of his own
just average in school, not particularly interested in sports, picking up and dropping extracurriculars on whim, it wasn't until the 7th grade that drew first discovered his interest in music after messing around on the piano while serving detention in his school's band room
what was intended to be just a punishment actually managed to both capture and keep his interest in a way that nothing else had before, something that the band director took note of and helped foster by transferring him into the class that semester (shoutout mr. g, a real one)
for the first time, drew threw himself into learning, picking up multiple instruments (and school talent show wins, ayo) over the next several years
met the members of and joined radical silence as their keyboard player in high school and had no doubt in his mind that they were gonna make it big
his parents? had doubts.
so as a compromise, drew could stay in and focus on the band after he graduated, but only if he enrolled at aurora bay college...and if he wasn't making a livable wage off the band by the time he finished his degree, he'd go work at his dad's company full time like his brother
he was feeling pretty confident that he wouldn't have to hold up his end of the bargain (so confident that he just...stopped showing up to his classes at all) when radical silence started to receive recognition that landed them a record deal and a tour to promote it
when their drummer got into an accident right before they were about to leave, it was a no brainer that they would just hold off until he was able to play again...or at least it was to 4/5 of them
their lead singer ditching them to go solo? sucked.
his dad finding out that he was paying for classes that drew wasn't attending? also sucked!
was promptly #cutoff, but whether it was that youngest child leniency or just his dad taking pity on him after the band and his dreams fell apart, he didn't force drew to cash in on their deal (yet) in exchange for him simply getting a job and paying for his own shit
so he's continued to just fuck around aurora bay the last six years, picking up and quitting (and occasionally getting fired from) an array of jobs, the most recent and so far the longest sticking being his stint at sharky's
knows that he's kind of living on borrowed time and that if he doesn't figure something out soon, his dad will be coming to collect on drew going to work for him, so he finally re-enrolled in school this semester to try and bide his time for a little bit longer while he figures out just what the fuck he's doing with his life
HEADCANNONS.
is strictly drew to his friends and strangers and basically anyone who isn't his family, hearing anyone else call him by his full name always makes him feel like he's in trouble
has perfect pitch, which unfortunately doesn't get him any special recognition from his family but is a fun trick he likes to use to impress people at parties (well, that and his equally as impressive ability to kick open beer bottles)
knows how to play several different instruments, including piano, guitar, drums, the harmonica, the triangle, and one song on the tuba after a bet that he couldn't learn it by the end of the day (made 50 bucks)
can regularly be found doordashing and teaching one on one music lessons for extra cash
loves a theme park, his Youtube recommended is pretty much just rollercoaster POV's
has a list in his notes app ranking every onion ring he's ever had, the number one contender and the spot to beat being the all nighter with a near perfect score of 9.8/10
