Michael was acting strange.
Well, more strange than normal, at the very least. The German man’s eccentricities often threw Yoichi off, but he had long since grown to accept them as just part of being with him, and even grew to be a bit fond of them.
Or, at the very least, tolerate them. Because he loved Michael, and everything that came with him, even the aggravating, silly bits that often didn’t make much sense.
Like this. This whole situation was out of his scope of understanding and all Yoichi wanted to do was understand. But he couldn’t. Not really because it was all so absurd.
It had been over an hour since Nagi had left their home, determined to catch dinner with his teammates because his teammates owed him a free meal for winning some random bet. Over an hour since Michael had started icing him out and refused to make eye contact or talk to him or even touch him, his body shirking away to shrug Yoichi’s hands off whenever Yoichi tried to make amends.
Which honestly, he shouldn’t even have to do because he really didn’t feel like he had done anything wrong. He and Nagi were just friends and they had been friends for years. There was nothing more between them than that, and there never had been. If anything, Nagi was like an annoying older brother to him now, one that he loved dearly and would welcome into his home any time in the future just so they could spend a few hours together.
It was silly for Michael to be jealous over him, because there was nothing, absolutely nothing to be jealous of!
Well… okay, so maybe he shouldn’t have let Nagi sit that close to him when he came over. And maybe he shouldn’t have let Nagi lean so heavily on his arm either while they flipped through photos on their phones of their latest adventures. Nagi in England, Yoichi in Germany… A few pictures here and there of Reo and Chigiri and some of their other friends as they slipped through their new cities.
Yoichi really hadn’t realized how close they had gotten until Michael hastily stood up and stalked out of the room, saying he needed to make a phone call. Probably to Ness… and probably to complain about the overly friendly display… Nagi had respectfully slid away and removed his head for Yoichi’s shoulder. Keeping the distance.
It was a shame though that Michael hadn’t stayed because he missed the end of Nagi’s visit, and the very important detail that he shared before his departure.
Currently, Michael sat on the opposite end of their couch, arms tightly hugging a pillow with such force that Yoichi slightly worried that the stuffing might pop right out. He was typing away on his phone, again, probably to Ness, soundly ignoring Yoichi each time he tried to speak to him or engage him in anything other than his own misery.
Sticking out his foot for probably the tenth time, Yoichi pushed his toes against Michael’s hip, causing him to stiffen up and finally whip his face around towards him. He was upset and it showed on his face, blue eyes narrowed and eyebrows furrowed together in a mean frown.
“Would you stop it? Leave me alone?”
“What? You can’t really be jealous of Nagi. You know you don’t have anything to worry about.”
“I thought I knew that. But you appeared awfully chummy with that guy so I really don’t know anymore.” Michael huffed and turned his face away, looking back towards his phone.
Yoichi rolled his eyes, somewhat flattered that Michael would get in such a tizzy because of him, but fully over this display of jealousy that was really unbecoming of his boyfriend. Crawling across the couch until he was right at Michael’s side, Yoichi threw his arms over his shoulders, refusing to let him go when he squirmed. The only the Michael was successful in at this moment was avoiding his lips as he tried to plant a kiss on his cheek, but Michael was just that much stronger than him to avoid the sweet contact.
“Yoichi, I said stop. I’m not in the mood right now.” Michael continued his struggle, trying to lift a hand to push Yoichi away from him but squarely failing. “Why don’t you go spend some more time with Nagi if you want to do all that.”
“I don’t really think his boyfriend would like that,” Yoichi retorted as he put his whole weight into shoving back against Michael who had magically stopped struggling and finally tipped backwards, sliding down to lay beneath Yoichi on the couch. Yoichi proudly straddled his hips, sitting on top of him so that he really couldn’t escape again if he changed his mind.
Though, Michael was a weak man when it came to him. He was fairly confident that this marked the end of Michael’s attempts to disengage him. Michael was already deflating, the angry scowl on his face shifting into a look of amusement.
He was so easily appeased, it was almost cute. Almost.
“Boyfriend you say? Who did he trick into dating him?” Michael’s hands found his hips as he spoke, squeezing him tightly before sliding beneath the edge of his shirt.
“That Agi guy from ManCity…. You know him, and don’t get along with him, so I think we are fairly safe in saying that Nagi definitely does not have malicious intent with me.”
“Hmm…. I don’t know… maybe Agi sent him here deliberately to get into my head.” Michael grinned, not realizing with his own words he was playing himself.
“Well, then wouldn’t you say it worked?” Yoichi shook his head, now leaning away from Michael so that he could not get his way after acting like such a brat. He slid off of Michael’s hips, walking away slowly until he heard his boyfriend get off the couch to follow him. Yoichi looked over his shoulder, raising his eyebrow slightly, as if daring Michael to follow him. “You getting all jealous, acting like you really thought I would leave you for Nagi?”
“I wasn’t jealous.” Michael asserted, frowning again, even though they both know that jealous was still radiating out of every pore of his boyfriend’s body.
“Oh don’t you dare lie now…” Yoichi teased, turning away from him again and stalking off into their bedroom, pretending as if he was getting ready for bed now that their guest was long gone. Any excuse to take off his shirt, honestly, because at the end of the day, he was sure there were a few ways he could show Michael that he really didn’t have a single thing to worry about.
“I’m not lying… I know you better than anyone… And I know you were the one trying to make me jealous because you are the one who likes making up after a fight.”
“I didn’t know we were fighting,” Yoichi grinned, pretending at mischief even though he really had no intention to start a fight today, real or fake. Best to just let Michael believe what he wanted though because he also wasn’t fully wrong in his statements.
Michael rolled his eyes, reaching around Yoichi to grab the shirt he was trying to change into out of his hands and tossing it back onto the bed. Sliding his arms around Yoichi’s waist, he squeezed his stomach lightly, chin resting on his shoulder. Yoichi loved the feeling of Michael’s chest pressing against his bare back, his boyfriend placing just the right amount of weight against him. Yoichi was tempted to tease him more by angling his hips backwards, but he was also so curious to hear the end of Michael’s rational for his jealousy that he couldn’t risk rendering him speechless.
“If we’re not fighting, then I guess we don’t need to make up, hm?” Michael mused, squeezing Yoichi tightly again. “But if you just admit you were trying to make me jealous, we can.”
Yoichi pondered for a moment, trying to pick out the perfect response. So many options…. But only one correct one.
“I don’t think I tried to make you jealous. I think I successfully made you jealous, and you pouted like a little boy who didn’t get what he wanted.”
“Did not.” The pout was back in Michael’s voice, and Yoichi could only catch a glimpse of his pathetic expression out of the corner of his eye.
“Did so…” Yoichi turned around in Michael’s arms, sliding his hands around his boyfriend’s neck. “But that’s okay. You can have everything you want now.”
Michael grinned, hands sliding down over Yoichi’s hips to grip the back of his thighs, hoisting him in the air before dropping him down gracelessly on the bed. Now, rather than a petulant child, he was an entitled man once again, knowing without a doubt in his mind that he would get exactly what was his.
“Everything?” Michael questioned, though at this point, the question was just a formality, as he was already crawling over him, legs wrapped around his hips as Yoichi vowed to show Michael that really. There was nothing to worry about.
“Everything,” Yoichi confirmed holding his arms out so that Michael would lean down to finally accept a kiss. “As long as I can have everything, too.”

We made a good team. At least, I thought we did until it all fell apart.
And I was too stubborn to accept it when you did try to repair things.
Back when I thought I would be better off without you.
It took me too long to realize that I wasn’t. That I needed you. Wanted to be around you. I needed time to heal and find my way back to myself though, because I knew you didn’t deserve this. This damaged husk of a hero that was only good to kick a ball around a field but couldn’t save anyone.
Kunigami sees Chigiri years after Blue Lock, but its much too late.

Rin really had to wonder if a single sprinkle even made it on to his birthday cake, or if his son had really been so careless to spill them all over the floor for Seishiro to sweep up.
But Shidou is just trying to show Hiori that being lazy isn't a bad thing.
Hiori is just trying his best to let himself live and enjoy his time with his boyfriend, rather than letting the voices from his past overshadow everything.
The days of summer are full of changes. The days are getting warmer and longer to help new relationships bloom. Atsushi meets Kisaki Tetta through his best friend, and begins to wonder if things could be changing for him too.

The first week of classes had come and gone, and Yoichi and his friends decided to throw a costume party to celebrate their last first week of school.
Michael doesn't try very hard to come up with his costume though, because he knows he's going to be out of it as soon as Yoichi has had enough to drink.
Sometimes, Agi could not believe that this was his life. It was picture perfect, flawless, and he did not want to disturb the beauty of watching his husband and son interact.
Friendships and relationships did not come easily to Agi, so it was strange to him that Nagi would wait for a year after Blue Lock to reach out to him again. He wants to reject him, as Nagi rejected him, but the curiosity and possibility that things might be different than how they left them is stronger than the desire to leave Nagi in the past.
