Someone somewhere that wwas a Captor owwed me a lap dance I think.
Grumbles.
Between you and Davara I will never be at a loss for father figures.
As it should be.
#Me.#Rose you’re my favvorite.
You hear that Eridan? I’m the new golden child.
I alwways wwanted a daughter.
Pvt
Ugh why did he let his temper get the better of him. “It is not, actually.”
He pulls a hand through his hair, watching the other intently. Taking a pull of his tea, he shrugs non committally. “Do not know, rude to ask.” The last of the muff is nibbled, the paper shifted towards the edge of the table to be taken away.
"If would rather talk in private can be doing this. I am just worried, Ryker. Is not. Like you?"
That’s more of a question than anything else.
"You are good man."
That’s a statement of a wanted belief.
Ryker wasn't answering anymore. Honestly he was hardly even interested in the waitress himself; he was simply conversing. He knew it was rude to ask, and he had no intention of doing so. Doesn't mean he wasn't going to at least pretend to be watching her or otherwise.
"I never claimed to be a good kindred," and now he was looking back at Davara. A frown was on the blonde's features. "In fact I am not a good nor moral kindred." He was avoiding the term man; he was not such even if he wished to be.
In truth he was partly correct. He was fairly immoral yet he had his perks. The biggest of his down fall was the human munching--otherwise he could, perhaps, be considered decent. He didn't believe so.
Pvt
Davara raises a brow, a chill passing over the room. A quick flicker from brown to bright purple, the teeth chewing on his lip far sharper than they should be. Above all things, he is very much a lion hiding in the clothing of an overly friendly goat.
"This is true. If /I/ can find this, there will be many others. Making unclear is not goal."
He can be stubborn as much as he likes, you don’t leave behind the shadows all that easily. Especially when they’re making it clear they’re displeased. “Stopping is.”
Deep breath. Softening, he closes his eyes, rubbing at his temples. “Talk to me, Ryker.”
There was a snort at the mention of stopping. "Easy for you to say," and he was going to say no more on the matter. He would be baring sharp teeth yet he was not going to bother dropping part of his glamour to do so. Davara had set him on edge with that little threat now; this was not what he had come to meet up with his friend for. Nor was he really wanting to talk about this.
He was going to change the topic, eyes drifting," Our waitress isn't that bad looking. Wonder what type a kindred she is." Idle comments. He wasn't going to be revealing what was troubling him now.
Pvt
Edgy too. All right then. Davara sizes him up over small sips of coffee, picking at his muffin idly. He sets it in the middle so Ryker could take a piece if he wanted.”I know you have, which is what am worried about, kardes.”
Might as well be blunt.
"Many others could come to easy knowing of this as well. Is worry."
The muffin was paid little mind. He would glance down at the it once and then it wouldn't be looking at it anymore. None meats were not his favorite; it was all Davara's. But after the last comment he had a sinking feeling it might be part of a test. Well, what test really. Davara had called him out, and the draugr's lips were pressing into a thin line now. He didn't have any snark for that.
"I'll be fine or I won't," and he was going to be blunt back. He knew that he needed to lay off for awhile--stopping completely did not sit right with him. Humans ticked him off and he envied them too much not to nom every now and again. "Tellin' me just means that next time I go out I'll possibly take time to make it more unclear." He didn't say when that would be though. He needed to go home.
"Listen if you goin' to be goin' on about this then I'm walkin' out now."
Stubborn asshole.
Pvt
He notes the fidgeting, and wonders at it. Excess energy or nerves? There’s no way of telling. Well he could if he wanted to but he’d rather not push. This is delicate to begin with. He shrugs, folding the paper and stuffing it into his suitcase, which had hastily been grabbed from his office before appearing here.
"Worries make a man tired. Have many these days, especially about friends and family. Have been worried about you. Where have been? Have missed."
He just wanted his water. He could idly toy with the glass if that would just come. Sigh.
"I told you I've been doin' some things," he was turning his attention back towards the other now. "Out an' about. Stayin' in one place makes me restless. New York is awful."
He was grumbling at the end, the waitress finally coming to serve what he had ordered. Along with Davara too, but more importantly that water to sip at. Little sips, and another sigh.
Pvt
Davara is always formal, his suit a little rumpled around the middle from getting up and down during court. Today’s battles seem to be a bit wearing. Or perhaps it was the worry he carried for his friend. Squared off reading glasses perch on his nose, his ever present newspaper set to the side when Ryker sits down.
A barista comes to take their order and he simply asks for orange pekoe. Simple tastes today. There was a reason he chose a kindred establishment, no one would look twice at them for any discussions had therein. "Merhaba, brother, you look well. Thank you for meeting me. Please, order, am buying. Oh! And muffin please."
A glance up at the woman that had come to take their order. Ryker would pause, mulling it over before he would just cave and order a water. Just a water and nothing else for the blonde haired man. "Thanks," he was going to smile as the woman wandered off to fill their orders before he would turn his attention back towards his handsome friend.
"You're looking a little tired yourself. Long day at work?" A raise of the brow and nothing more. His hands idly toyed with each other while he waited. He was looking around. He was hella fidgety right now
Pvt
A good question, this.
Am knowing small cafe’ downtown, Kindred run.
(coords.txt)
Come meet me?
Yeah I guess so. See you there.
----
Ryker had an awful feeling but maybe that was just him. He had not been out to meet a friendly face in weeks. He's barely been seeing Eridan's either except for the occasional torture. Otherwise it was all quietly on the friendly front. The other ones--well not so much.
It wouldn't take him long to get there. He would look as handsome as ever, the gorging making it easier to maintain the glamour. He ditched the suit for casual wear, wandering into the little kindred shop and looking around the area for his friend. And upon finding him the draugr would wander over and settle in a seat acoss from Davara.
Cue a friendly smile,"Hey."
Pvt
I figure as much. Home sound lovely.
Would you be free for tea or coffee of a soon-nes?
I suppose.
You alright?
Pvt
