So something I've noticed about different fandoms is the whole fandom has a personality as a gestalt entity. It comes out mostly in fan works, and since my preferred fan work medium is fanfiction, this is where I've noticed it the most.
So without further ado, a not at all comprehensive list of fandoms and their associated personalities:

Not as toxic a yuri as they think, but if you need to find the cattiest (heh) bitches in fandom spaces, walk into any group of lesbians and shout, "CATRA'S REDEMPTION ARC!" and wait for the chaos. There's three types of SPOP fans; Adora-kins, Catra-kins, and the handful of people that are neither.
There's two types of Arcane fan; the toxic gamer fanboy who will die on the dumbest, most arbitrary hill you've ever heard of and the transbien who used to be the toxic gamer fanboy who now throws bricks at cops and has "ACAB" tattooed somewhere on their body. (Don't tell them there's other types of Arcane fans, they're sensitive about that.)
The fandom of the movie about deep, dark secrets being hidden under a surface of perfect marketability produces...a bunch of fan works that have depths that rival the Marianas Trench that are billed as something light and fun. (Read the tags. I DON'T CARE IF YOU NEVER READ THE TAGS, READ THE TAGS FOR YOUR OWN SANITY!!! The dove isn't dead, it's a demon and it lives in Rumi's sword!)
There's only one version of Sailor Moon that's the real Sailor Moon. And if you think otherwise you'll be punished in the name of the Moon. Which one is the correct version? Duh, that's obvious!
Toxic Yuri champions. Content Warning: Ianthe Tridentarius. You will never find a yuri this toxic. No, just give up. Yes, the TLT fandom has that fetish. No, I don't think you get it. It has THAT fetish. That one too. Yes, that one, too. Stop guessing, we'll be here all night. You'll start out reading "Gideon the Ninth" a perfectly ordinary, perfectly functional citizen of [INSERT COUNTRY HERE], by the time you join the rest of us in the Alectopause you're defending Ianthe Tridentarius.
