a big part of the rpc depends on honesty. we all trust each other on here in an ooc sense to be honest about the age, gender, pronouns, nationality, name/alias we share, etc. this isn't some snobby whim, it's a necessity in order for the rpc to feel like a safe space in the craziness that is the internet. i am thirty years old, i have no desire to interact with anyone below the legal age for reasons that should be common sense. i am puerto rican, i have no business pretending to be anything else and hijacking the experience of someone else's culture. i am a cis woman, which for some, allows a comfort and trust that wouldn't be there if i were a cis man. my name is tiana, and i choose to use my name because i feel like it, just like i could use an alias, however i have never claimed another name, i have always remained consistent with it because that is my true identity.
the moment you lie and give yourself a fake anything to manipulate others into thinking they are interacting with someone different, you are being disrespectful, dishonest, and taking away the safety and trust we're meant to have as a community.
