basic rules:

kindness is key. there's enough hatred in this world; the roleplay community doesn't need more of it. i won't tolerate hatred of any kind toward anyone. if you can't be accepting or open - minded, this isn't a blog for you. furthermore, be forgiving. mistakes happen. people are here to be creative. don't hinder that.

this blog is low activity & mutuals only as a means to manage stress. i have a full time job with responsibilities that definitely run over my scheduled time ( education sucks, don't make a career of it ). you are always welcome to im me, remind me of things, send me anything you want . . . please just know that response time will never be consistent. same with following - i'm a turtle that needs time in all things.

portrayal. mel is a neurodivergent icon who i will do my best to honor. romantic shipping is not something that i feel fits her character and isn't something i'm likely to engage in. i look forward to exploring and headcanon-ing based on the source material as this blog develops, but that piece of my portrayal will remain consistent.

mel often walked into her shift empty - handed. the day's snacks were tucked into her backpack, her phone tucked into her pocket, her airpods nestled into her ears. in fact, it felt kind of odd not to have her hands free when she reached her locker. you see, today she'd stopped for tea. ( boba, to be specific. a treat, if you will. ) she wasn't really one for coffee, and she honestly found it a bit inconvenient to be tied to a drink that would just lose quality with time as her shift began, but ── well, it felt nice to have something. the problem? her drink had been made wrong, and she was now carrying both her properly made drink & the reject. she'd already rehearsed exactly what to say when she offered the extra plastic cup to anyone willing to listen ── which is exactly what she did upon approaching the board at the heart of the ED. " hey, they gave me an extra drink this morning. i didn't want it to go to waste, so ── do you want it? o - or do you know who might? "
