It had been so long since Wilhelmina had ventured to Diagon Alley, heck -- she couldn’t truly remember the last time she was here -- probably the last time she had walked on these cobblestones was before her final year at Hogwarts. She had always loved Diagon Alley, ever since she was a kid. She would clutch onto her older brothers hand, weaving her other through her twin sister’s so they could be linked at the elbows, and eventually not by her choice, but she would walk down the tight alleyway without her siblings, her brother taken away and her sister -- well her sister had changed ever since they lost their brother, but at least before her final year she could cling onto the fingers of her then boyfriend, tall, devious and irresistibly handsome Thomas Burke.
She mentally shook her head, clearing all thoughts of Thomas Burke, Mathias or Samara from her mind and in turn focusing her sight on the piece of parchment she had -- a shopping list. She had moved to France once she had graduated Hogwarts, she had been extended the opportunity to work in one of their newest hospitals, and though she had her eyes on St. Mungo’s, she knew it was probably for the best for her to go as far away as she could, not because she was running away but because she couldn’t let her past hold her back any longer. Not to mention, the French were quite welcoming to werewolves, something that took her years to accept about herself.
Valerian Root -- She was so focused on finding the potioneer’s store where she could get some that she didn’t realize she was going to walk into someone until it was too late. Her clumsiness hadn’t gotten any better with age and she found herself on the cobblestone that she had been previously admiring, her shopping strewn around her. “Oi -- I’m sorry bout that.” The words slipped out as she got to her knees, her hands attempting to pull all of her goods back to their respective bags. She wouldn’t have even bothered to look up until she heard his voice -- it had changed, slightly -- gotten deeper, colder maybe? But even though it had been four years since she had last heard it, it still made her stomach flip and the hair on the back of her neck stand up -- Thomas Burke, why did he have to look so good?
