No Pride in Prisons have finished our list of abolitionist demands! We present 50 demands, across 3 time scales, in the areas of policing, sentencing and incarceration, towards the abolition of the criminal injustice system in Aotearoa. The whole organisation has pulled together to painstakingly research each and every one of these demands, to make sure this radical argument for abolition is rigorously backed by objective fact. We feel this book represents a useful resource for others to read, consider, and use in their own political actions.

The book will be officially launched at the Social Movements, Resistance and Social Change conference in Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) on September 1, at 5:30 in CO122. The book’s editors, Ti, Sophie, and Emilie, will be speaking on why these demands were written and what we hope they can be used for.

Copies will be available for $40 to academics, with subsidised copies available for unwaged people and free copies available for previously incarcerated people.
