I had such a vivid image in my mind for this collection of prompts: A traveller venturing across a desolate field bearing a lantern filled with lava. I pictured that, and immediately I wanted to know who this lantern-bearer was and where he was heading with and why. This adventure is my effort to answer that question!

easily my least "artsy" prompt of the first trio (and likely of the month if I'm to keep this up). As a rule, I try not to be too unnecessarily wordy, but I couldn't figure out a way to communicate all this through pictures. In fact, I feel like I had to leave out a bunch!

Probably the concept would have been better suited to a small zine or pdf than a 1PD in which I insist on including *some* amount of drawing, but I DID NOT HAVE THE TIME and so elected not to stress about it. :>

I'm participating in peachtober! Rather than a drawing a day, though, I'm grouping the prompts into sets of 3 + designing a wee 1-page dungeon/adventure around each set! For this very first entry, I interpreted "cowboy" as relating to the gold rush.
