Well, it’s certainly been a while since the last time I posted on this blog. How have you all been? Has it been pleasant in the fandom? Do you particularly enjoy your time spent there? Will you be muse skipping or have you found your musemate? While it certainly fills me with joy to see less confessions of brutal nature swimming into this blog, we should always circulate our thoughts and feelings in a more precise manner. If you have negative thoughts you would like to avoid having placed on your dash, send them here; if you have positive thoughts pertaining to a mun, send it here. This is for the DR RP community!

As a talentswap mun myself, I'd like to say something. I'm sticking to my muse in this community. I've worked my hardest to keep them close to canon while incorporating my talentswap. I don't care what people think--I have people who love my muse anyway. This muse means too much to me to just abandon them, even with the slight anxiety this has given me. I'm staying in this community and I'm working on making my muse even better portrayal wise. Good luck trying to drive me away.

Lately this fandom has made me so sad. I've seen so much bullying and picking on others because of how or what they roleplay and it's honestly made me depressed to be a part of this fandom. When did it become such common practice to pick on one another? I've watched people leave their blogs over this and it's so sad. I don't understand why we can't be more accepting and kind to each other.

At all the anons bashing talentswaps || betas || AUs.

Suddenly you all think it’s fine to bash these people for developing these characters? There are muns WHO HAD THEM FOR YEARS. Of fucking course there is gonna be a change with the characters behavior. You think they didn’t have to be creative for these characters too? Well you’re fucking wrong.

Just because a canon character has started as an oc too, doesn’t mean those AU muses have not too. People are bored with what they work it! People can be insecure and change it to an AU or talentswap muse

Stop being such an unwelcoming fandom to “non-canon” canon muse, ffs. GET OVER IT. There are ENOUGH people who roleplay the muse in canon, go look for those. Don’t degrade someome because they’re not canon. People work hard to develop ocs, people work hard to develop au muses, people work hard to develop talentswaps, people work hard to develop betas. AGAIN, development over several years CAN and WILL change a characters behavior!!!

It's time to come clean, and admit that I hate how easily the word 'clique' is thrown around. Let people rp within their friend group, if someone wants to have an rp gang then just let them it does not concern you. It's also the same way how I feel about people following trends like edited icons or whatever it is now just do your own thing with your own friends if it bugs you that much.

This is the anon who made the previous submission. I apologize and wish to clarify. I have a lot of people DR rpers that follow me who it seem like they only want to do fluff whenever I want to plot, so I tend to turn them down. I give them plenty of warning about triggers, tag everything, tell them to read my rules, and it's as though despite all my warnings, they still keep coming and wanting non-despair fluff. No conflict between muses at all.

What I should have said was that I wish people who aren't able to deal with the subject matters that come up in DR to not follow me. And yet they do. I can take the horrible things that come up in DR..I've dealt with them in real life, and fiction is a different thing to me. Even if you tag something, there's still the chance people will probably see that it came up on Tumblr savior, isn't there? And they might call a witch hunt on you despite all the measures you've taken?

I want to do with DR characters-canon or oc-but I don't want to do an overglorified boarding school where nothing happens. And I fear that if I announced that I was looking to rp some dark stuff, I'd be fixed to help and back for it despite the fact that DR is a dark series to begin with no matter how much I tag and warn people to stay away. With the people I do to with, I feel like I'm walking on eggshells. I do nothing but fluff and I want a different variety, ya feel?
