gonna talk about Cicada Days by Will Wood as a misclick duo song in some more depth, bc oof. “god knows crying aint gonna change a thing” -marianas initial quiet shock of juanaflippa’s death “it just feels inhumane to lose this much” -charlie losing his daughter, getting her back, then losing his niece and as effect his daughters trust, and mariana losing his daughter twice (qcharlie doesnt know flippas dead again yet) and oh how i could go into a whole tangent here about mariana sobbing juanaflippas name as he roier and bobby get tf out of there. hit me like a fucking train the first time i saw the clip. “when you leave you take more then your love” -speaks for itself “the ground looks soft enough to bury this now” -something about the difference from charlie refusing to give flippa a funeral bc “shes not dead” and tilin getting a funeral bc it felt more real to everyone involved “let all my red flags fade to white, yea, i give up” -charlie not fighting for tilins death but instead exiling himself with the intent to find god “dont let me leave ill only take more then i gave” -honestly this hits me the same way charlie telling flippa he has nothing but love for her in his heart, and he hopes she never turns out like him “okay ill pack my stuff” -handing his backpack to flippa “my god what have i done” -is very charlie crouching over tilin’s body trying desperately to bring her back “christ now it feels damn inhumane to get all i dreamed of” -feeling bad about being able to get flippa back so easily
