Day 1: Super Kowalski Bros

This is modern!au (or not so modern, 90th, I think), Halloween, and little Kowalski brothers prepare to celebrate it. Kids have cheap costumes and paper mustaches, but they're still having fun. Older brother says Jacob he can't imagine him with a mustache, because he looks so stupid with it. And Jacob thinks, yes, I'll never have a mustache, it's so stupid. Hehe.

Halloween aesthetic "Haunted House", dark!Newt/Jacob

Newt is a dark master of his haunted house who required a victim once a year. Jacob is his naïve boyfriend who doesn’t know about the dark in Newt’s soul. On Halloween, Newt invites Jacob in his house and shows his true entity. Maybe he’ll not share his boyfriend with the house. Maybe Newt will want to keep this pretty thing for himself. Forever.

(Fantastic Beasts rambling time again)

they should pay me to go back in time and fix fantastic beasts 1 It is so fixable - it would be a fun movie looking at 1920s wizarding America, some Cool Animals and be about friendship. Instead of the half-fun-half-meh frustrating movie it is.

This isn't even Jacob/Newt propaganda - I think if you just merged the two women into one character, tone back the already barely-there romance subplot and focus HARD on Jacob and Newts friendship that'd be most the work done already. Simplify the main cast from 4 characters to 3 and focus on what should be the emotional core of the movie:

America is very strictly segregated, that's riling up severe political issues - but despite being such different people from different places Newt and Jacob naturally hit it off and adore eachother. Even when Jacob has to lose that at the end - the imprint they left on eachother remains and has changed their lives for the better.

Why is there an American-Auror lady who ruined her job because she cared too much about the Muggles and stepped out of line and ALSO An American-Ministry worker who is a super strong legilimens who cares a lot about people because she can read their minds all the time, which freaks them out - and she falls in love with a muggle ??? Make them the one lady:

An American-Auror is a natural legilimens who finds herself caring too much about people because of it - and that lead her to stepping out of line to help a Muggle boy and it cost her her job. You could do something fun, like she finds Newt difficult to read but Jacob very easy, so she is trying to chase them based on Jacobs thoughts - but Newt is unpredictable as he takes Jacob around... And even knowing she is doing that, using Jacob, Newt doesn't drop Jacob because they are friendship. It doesn't even occur to him. Occurs to Jacob: "Why don't you leave me behind?" and Newt is like "???why would I do that??? I like you. I don't really like anyone as successfully as I like you..." (that basically happens in the movie anyway)

Something like that. Also cut all the weird fat jokes. They didn't land at all. You expect me to laugh just because you make Jacob roll around, get stuck and eat food? You want me to laugh at brave, intelligent, quick witted, strong, sweetheart Jacob? No.

I read a headcanon on twitter about Jakob’s older brother, (several people independently named him Jan Kowalski, and so did I, and I think this name sounds very well for him) who survived the war but was seriously injured. Unfortunately, I can’t find this account so I can’t add it as a proof. I like this character and this headcanon too, so I drew something on the topic. 

So Jacob introduces Newt to his older brother. Newt is a little nervous, but in vain, because he is already part of the family. 

Janek was a little surprised that Jacob was falling in love with a man. But for him the main thing is that the younger brother is happy and no matter with whom. Of course, Newt will immediately become his friend, because they are both wonderful.
