whenever i get gen 1 vs gen 3 discourse on that clock app i remember that most of the people who are actively anti gen 3 mainly treat monster high as a movie and cartoon franchise. Like you do not see them talk about the newer dolls, and I mean NEW dolls, not the 2022 ones or even the fangvote. No they mainly talk about the nickelodeon show.

Like when i see people say "gen 3 has been cancelled" or "the new show is actually gen 4" (yes, i have seen the latter being said) I know their core memories of the franchise is the webisodes and the movies (which mine also are) but they are more causal fans.

I think most mascot horror devs forget that while most mascot horror can be traced back to Bioshock, the problem is that all of them are forgetting that Bioshock was made because Ken Levine had just some spite in his blood after reading Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand
