Significant People.
I've been taking pictures with a 35mm film camera since I was 15. When I turned 18, my mother gifted me a Yashica T4 — a camera I have cherished and still use to this day. I have travelled with my T4 and attempted to develop my own style of photography, asking myself what the camera means to me, what I would like document, and why I am taking photos at all. Recently, in addition to taking photos on the street, I have used this powerful camera for portraits, taking advantage of its Carl Zeiss lens and autofocus capabilities. I have attempted to capture the personalities of significant people in my life, photographing them in moments where I think they are being their true selves.
I turned 27 on 19th May 2026 and celebrated my birthday in Copenhagen with extraordinary people, whose friendship has carried me through a difficult period in my life. Having spent a number of years without clear creative direction, I had the opportunity to reflect in Copenhagen, surrounded by people I love and care about. After a wonderful week, defined by creativity and connection, I decided to name the series of portraits I have created over the last few years. This series is called "Significant People" and will continue for as long as there are significant people in my life.
