Elwood needs to be the one driving or else he gets nauseous. When he isn’t in control of the vehicle, he can’t really focus and his stomach starts to feel funky. That’s because it’s one of the few things he knows his brother trusts him with and one of the few things he has always been allowed. Not being the one driving is like a punishment and has been used as such from the people around him.
