"Yes yes, no cream, no sugar, you're above all that and better than those of us who like a little sweetness." Selene teased playfully as she poured the simple black coffee for her brother and then another loaded with cream and sugar for herself.
Anders irritability in the mornings never phased her - after all she'd grown up following him around, hanging on his every word - he was her idol and she looked up to him like no other.
She set the mug down in front of him with a little smile and happily sipped her own. "A very dishevelled Prince left here this morning, I offered to make him breakfast but he politely declined, he's very charming." Selene smiled knowingly over the rim of her mug. "When were you planning on telling me that Mer Royalty was your latest fucktoy Endie-bear? That's holding out on me and you know I like the gossip."

While he was not trying to keep his relationship with the prince a secret, it did come a bit of shock that she had seen him, causing Anders to cough slightly on the hot coffee. "Ah," he said when he cleared the liquid out of his lungs and was able to speak again. "That explains where he ran off to this morning. If I had known I would have encouraged him to stay. Your eggs and toast are worth killing over."
It was a weak attempt at deflection of conversation and they both knew it. Tapping his gloveless fingers against the pure white marble countertop of his island, he was silent for a second not even touching his coffee as he thought about the words that were about to come out of his mouth. "Yes....we are fucking but--" it was that but that had hi struggling for words. He had never felt like this before. How was he to explain to his baby sister that while, yes he loved the sex between the prince and himself, it was the other moments he loved more. They way the boy sighed softly right before he fully wakes or how his eyes lit up whenever he was passionate about something. As much as he loved his sister he wanted to keep those moments to himself because it felt more.
So instead he did something that was unheard of for him; he stayed quiet.
