Soho, New York. Homemade Tacos! Simmered chicken in Mexican spices, pulled and stuffed into freshy fried tortillas. Garnished with crisp lettuce, pico de gallo salsa, avocado, and a side of limes of course! Simplicity is the key. Gotta party, but also gotta keep it classy, so a glass of Rioja wine it is! Mexican food goes great with Spanish wine, I really love it. Btw, Soho stands for "South of Houston" street and it's pronounced house-ton. And they also say it like New Yuck. Trying to blend in with the locals. Anyway, Soho is where all the expensive stores are in Manhattan, a very chic place. And it's even better when you stay in a loft in the middle of it all and cook when you don't have to! Unrelated, but Tribeca stands for "triangle below Canal" street. Cinnamon Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting. This is not some fancy shop, I made these! Had to get all pro with the pastry bag and try to get the perfect swirl. It's harder than it seems, but I just ate the messed up looking ones. The cream cheese frosting recipe was from Thomas Keller's Bouchon Bakery Cookbook. Ha! So these were fancy after all! Don't worry about the calories everyone, I made these small and cute. The Ritz, Paris. Yes, this is the bathroom. With gold swan faucets on the sink! Total and complete luxury inside and out. We had stopped by this famous hotel for a drink and the experience was worth it. In other words, it will hurt your wallet. It was $20-30 a drink, so good thing he was paying. That's right beat up his wallet, not mine. ❤️ So the legendary hotel where Chanel and Hemingway lived is located in this place called the Velodrome, which is a massive courtyard that is too big for its own good with a spire in the middle. The Ritz doesn't even look like it's there. But you'll find it if you look for all the luxury cars. And they are so nice there. The bar is in the back of the hotel, which requires you to take a long walk through the narrow corridors adorned with beautiful dark wood and red carpet. You can feel the history squish underneath your feet. Everything was magical here. Even the toilet paper is better than the rest of France! Ensenada, Mexico. We had wine and charcuterie at this little wine boutique near the port of Ensenada. Mexican wine with local cheeses, so delicious. Now before we all start getting snooty about French wines and Napa Valley, I think it's good visit places and just experience the taste of the land. You'd be suprised how well it goes with local cuisine. And that's what travel is about, experiencing different cultures and new things. And I'm going to keep it real, this was taken while we were on a booze cruise. We had just been to Hussong's Cantina nearby, which is supposedly the creators of the margarita. And they serve them in these small glasses that look totally unimpressive like the cups were once used for table water. Best margaritas ever. It tastes like fresh lemonade, so I order a few more because it's such a good deal, and the tequila says, buenos dias, señorita. Good times. Christian Louboutin, Pigalle Foilles Stilettos. These shoes are so hot and sexy, and they are named after the Parisian neighborhood. You know, they bring a new definition to red bottoms. It's business upfront, red in the back, and sexy all over. I heard these shoes were dipped in the blood of haters and that super gloss is made from pure straight jelly. Just kidding. I also want to cross my arms with these stilettos on, make him crawl and beg on the ground, and say all sorts of bad things to him. Not kidding. Bastille Market, Paris. Radishes, fresh from the farmer's market. People should eat more radishes. They fun and crunchy with so little calories. I like to eat mine with a squeeze of lime. Simple and healthy, but don't let them fool you. Radishes are served ultra thinly sliced on some of the world's most expensive dishes. Whether it's haute cuisine or at your local taqueria, radishes are ready to throw down. Personally, I like to imagine Marylin Monroe chowing down on some street tacos with a big side of radishes, but that's just me. And also I hear that purple foods are really good for you. Ted Baker, Luuciee dress. I love this. It's like a party in a dress. It's made out of a stretchy material so it's super comfortable. I don't know about you, but when I'm at a cocktail party, it's so hard to resist their hors d'oeuvres. Especially those cheesy puff pastries that are so good, but they're really tiny, and you're like, ok what's one more?! Then the appetizers and drinks expand in your tummy, and you're gonna wish for this stretchy yet sexy comfort. Luuciee's got you covered. Also comes in black. Tartine Manufactory, San Francisco. A place known for their legendary bread. This is Tartin's bigger location because the original bakery can only produce about 300 loaves of bread per day. And it sells out before morning. That's how good the bread is. It had a crunchy deep brown crust, and the inside is moist and almost custardy. With this location, there is bread for all. About $6 for a boulder sized loaf. It's heavy and dense and delicious. This place is huge and it's inside a former laundry factory or something. It has a cafe with snazzy items like this burrata with fresh figs and shiso leaves. Fresh figs taste light and fruity. Not like Fig Newtons.
