Ecstasy

Another day gone by. More pain inside. Suffering by the hour. I’m a dwindling flower. Dreams fading away. No longer here to stay. What did I expect? That I’d not be wrecked?

Substance turned to fantasy. Despair from ecstasy. The light fades within. Never to be seen therein. Riding on an empty path. Can’t comprehend the math. What have you done to me? Can’t you see?

Walked away, not pushed. Now feeling ambushed. I’ve done nothing but good. Next to me you once stood. You think we’re okay? Although you’ve led me astray? Was I just a game? You wanted to defame?

Sitting with a gap by my side. Feeling down and out. Desires to fill and complete, To combine and rise.

Nothing within. Nothing beside.

Nowhere to run Nowhere to hide

Sitting with you by my side, Feelings stirring up. Desires to hold and caress, To hold close for all of eternity. Yet something deep down Inside of me, Reaches through. A seemingly unstoppable force, Pushes you away.

You try to stay near, And overlook the great shove, Because you know, Where it really came from. It’s hard for me, And probably harder for you. Just please don’t leave; Let’s try to pull though!

The Great Machine

Alone I sat, Pondering the importance Of all the things I do. None could be found.

On the outside looking in, It could seem to be there. But in the end, Nothing is to be seen. If the mirage could come to a close, It would truly be nice; For then I could truly see.

I am but a part In an imperfect machine. But am designed To be placed perfectly.

Maybe one day, When the machine might break, Just maybe, I will be reused in the great machine.

That moment is all I desire. And maybe then, Just maybe, I can start to live.
