Nathaniel chuckled gently. “And if you did that… something bad happened. Innocents could be hurt because they were too afraid to call me in…” He smiled softly and moved to stand up. “Working is very good for me. It cleanses my soul… I am damned in the eyes of my parents, so saving people may perhaps undamn me.” He said, stepping out of the line of pews. “Shall we go get lunch then?” He asked.
“There are other doctors that work there you know and stop saying that you’re the best. That’s just bragging and is rude.” She stood up, “It doesn’t matter what your parents think. Besides working doesn’t cleanse your soul. Whoever told you that is full of shit.” He was way too depressing for her taste. Something he really needed to work on. “Yeah. Lunch.
